Now reading: Chapter 147 147: An ambush from Return of the Mythic Bloodline, a Action novel by Agnivrat03.

"Koff-koff, wh-what the fuck just happened?" I muttered. "I-I can't move."

My whole body was weighed down under the debris of rocks, with even my face covered. Except for my right hand, I couldn't move any muscle nor could I see anything.

I slowly moved my hand upward and murmured,

"Li-lightning Bolt."

The rock above pushed upward, and the instant my legs slightly freed,

"Blink."

Pushing back the rocks with sudden movent, I freed myself and only stopped after hitting the wall of the cliff.

"I can't believe this weakling defeated Victor," an arrogant male voice echoed.

"Hah! Forget about Victor, he also managed to kill Jamie," another male voice followed.

I rubbed my eyes, trying to focus on the surroundings around . My ears were still ringing from the sudden explosion, my arm—already injured during the battle with Drathion—was broken in half, and blood was dripping from my head.

"Warning! The face change mask is slightly damaged.

Durability remaining: 90%.

If durability reduces below 20%, the Host's appearance will return to normal."

At the location where I was stuck, the carriage was crushed into pieces, with the corpses of horses along with the coachman lying below the rocks. Behind them, Sam and Edrick lay motionless on the ground.

"Fuck," I muttered, taking wobbly steps ahead.

"Oh? So you can still move?" the voice laced with amusent asked.

My eyes squinted, following the direction from where the voice ca.

"Who the fuck are you?" I asked the three figures positioned at the edge of the cliff.

On the sides were two middle-aged n gleaming with opposing smirks. One of them had long black hair and carried a massive hamr in his hand, while the other, with short hair, wore a long coat and was equipped with a bow.

At the center, a young woman was sitting cross-legged on a transparent hovering chair that shimred with purple light. She wore purple skin-tight pants and a white tucked-in shirt. Her long open hair, along with her eyes, carried the sa intense purple as the chair she sat on.

"Not just brains, this prick lacks manners as well," the man with the hamr scoffed.

"I asked you sothing, assholes," I shouted. "Why did you attack us out of nowhere?"

"Such a sharp tongue," the man with the bow muttered, drawing an arrow from his quiver. Without a hint of hesitation, he stretched the string backward and shot the arrow at .

As soon as the arrow left the bow, I activated Blink, and in a split second reached the top of the bowman and descended my leg, aiming for his head.

Thud...

My kick landed on the shaft of the hamr that the man with long hair swung to stop my attack.

"H-how did he block ?" I murmured inwardly, my eyes widening. "Did he see coming even with that speed?"

"Hahaha, you look confused, boy," the man with the hamr laughed, shoving back.

"So it wasn't just a fluke that you killed Jamie."

Before I could steady myself on the ground, he bolted at , swung his hamr with intense speed, and struck my shoulder, producing a loud bam.

"Are you from El-Dorado?" I asked, standing unscathed from the hit.

"How are you still fine?" he gasped. "What the fuck is your body made of?"

I grabbed the hamr that was pressing from the shoulder and murmured, pushing it back with one hand,

"I asked you a question, fucker—"

Squelch...

An arrow glowing with intense green energy suddenly pierced my shoulder, splattering blood before turning into a regular arrow.

"You do realise that we aren't alone, right?" the short-haired man stated, loading another arrow into the bow.

"Even if all three of you gang up on ," I muttered, pulling the arrow from my shoulder before continuing, "you can't defeat ."

The hand holding onto the hamr's head flickered with golden lightning and the next mont—

"Lightning Bolt."

The long-haired man hurtled back from the impact, and a crack appeared on the head of his huge hamr.

At the sa mont, another glowing arrow flung toward , piercing the sky with blinding speed. However, this ti, I was prepared.

In the blink of an eye, I drew Vajra from the inventory and swung it vertically, slicing the arrow in two from the middle.

Drip... drip... drip...

The blood from my broken arm, tracing my fingers, dropped to the ground.

"You're overestimating yourself, kid!" a dominant feminine voice echoed.

The woman who had been sitting on the mysterious chair rose to her feet and slowly moved toward .

Her overwhelming presence suddenly increased the pressure around , trying to push to the ground. With just her deanor, I already knew she was way out of my league.

"Vivi, activate Eyes of the Fallen and Blessing of Jambavan."

"Initializing Host's request...

Alert! If activated together, these two skills will consu a huge amount of Soulforce.

Are you sure you want to activate them simultaneously?

[Yes] [NO]"

"Do it," I ordered. "I won't be surviving this if I hold back even a little."

"Eyes of the Fallen is activated.

Activating Jambavan's Blessing..."

The mont the bear spirit erged from my forehead, a web of purple energy suddenly clutched my body, and that woman was already standing just an arm's length before .

"That's a fascinating ability," she said, amused. "But I can't let you activate it."

The bear spirit hadn't even enveloped my body yet when another arrow shot—this ti piercing right through my heart.

"Blrgh—!" Blood splattered from my mouth, and Vajra fell from my hand as my body hung freely in the purple nest of that woman's skill.

"Alert! Host is in critical condition...

Activating Blessing of Ruru...

Blessing of Jambavan and Eyes of the Fallen are disabled for the prior focus on healing."

"You ssed with the wrong people, boy," the purple-haired woman said before turning back.

The energy net slowly vanished, and I fell to the ground with a thud, my face upward.

The bear spirit returned inside my forehead, and instead the deer spirit erged, covering my body. The spirit pulled out the arrow from my chest, and just as my wounds were about to heal, a glowing hamr descended on my chest, breaking my ribs.

"Ma'am, the bastard is still alive," the long-haired man announced.

"Oh~! He's got a ton of fascinating skills," the purple-haired woman murmured, turning back.

She reached closer to , shoved her foot into my mouth, and said,

"Let's see how long this cockroach can live."
