When I reached the Spirit Warrior Realm, my advanced sword skills were unlocked. My stats had also reached nearly half of my other body in Vyoman. However, fighting fifty monsters with almost the sa physical stats as was still not possible. I would have been more confident if my Sword Aura had also been unlocked. Alas, it wasn’t—due to the low amount of Soulforce in this body.
Within two minutes, Alex and I passed the place where we were first attacked by the goblins and reached the divide where the path split into three different ways.
"The path is really divided from here," I gasped before asking Alex, who was barely conscious and suspended in my hand, "which way are the trolls, and how far are they?"
"A-am I still alive?" Alex murmured, his head spinning from the violent ride he had endured.
"Hey, pull yourself together," I said, dropping him to the ground.
"Ack! My head..." Alex muttered, rising to his feet.
Taking a couple of seconds to realise what had happened to him, he raised his heel, reached for my collar, and snapped, "I almost died because of you, you fucking bastard!"
"Hey—hey, calm yourself, man. I only did it because I needed to reach this place in a hurry," I said, shrugging. "Now tell —"
My focus suddenly shifted to the leftmost cave, from where I felt a wave of revolting bloodlust emitting.
"They are coming closer. Quickly, hide yourself in the middle cave," I ordered Alex, taking my sword out.
Seeing the seriousness on my face, Alex nodded and sprinted toward the middle cave.
Using Void Step, I grabbed a few corpses of goblins that I had slain behind us and made trails of bodies, each leading to the middle and right tunnels.
"Ughh, my whole blazer is stinking," I muttered as I threw the last body of goblin into the right tunnel.
"Hey! They are only fifty tres away from you," Alex shouted, peeking from the middle tunnel.
"Alright, I’m coming!"
Including the tis I advanced with Alex, I had activated Void Step twenty tis, carpeting both tunnels with goblin bodies.
My Yin energy was already down to 3000. I also had to release Yang energy to make sure the balance was maintained.
"Ughh... I wasted too much Yin–Yang energy for this," I muttered, sitting in a lotus position at the end of the corpse trail.
"Keep updated about the trolls’ movent," I ordered Alex as I closed my eyes to recover as much Yin–Yang energy as possible.
Alex nodded and activated his clover eyes.
"The trolls have reached the junction and stopped there," Alex inford.
For the next five minutes, the trolls remained there, as if they were discussing sothing.
"The trolls are moving again. Half of them are going to the rightmost tunnel, and the other half are coming this way," Alex revealed.
I opened my eyes, a grin tugging at my face.
"Haha, so my efforts weren’t wasted," I chuckled.
"Vivi, show how much Yin–Yang energy I currently have," I asked inwardly.
"Yin energy: 3010/10500
Yang energy: 8000/10500"
"Only ten Yin energy recovered after resting for five whole minutes!?" I complained inwardly, obviously annoyed.
"The Host should be grateful that he recovered even that much, considering the fact that he doesn’t possess any breathing technique to recover Yin–Yang energy."
"I figured you would say sothing like that," I sighed before turning to Alex. "Move back and don’t show yourself before the trolls."
Accepting my order, Alex retreated deeper into the tunnel while I patiently waited, sitting in front of the last goblin corpse.
---
"Yu... humann... killed... goblinns?" A stuttering voice ca from the front.
In front of stood twenty-five tall trolls, each carrying massive blunt or sharp weapons in their hands.
"Yeah, it was ," I replied calmly.
"Why?" the troll at the front demanded.
"They kept glaring at with creepy smiles."
"Yu... not like... their... smils... I also... not," the front troll said with a faint smile on his face. "Co... the king... et... yu!"
If I ask him the reason, he will surely snap like the previous troll, I thought inwardly before saying, "But I haven’t brought any gift for the king. Do you know the reason why the King summoned so I can prepare myself accordingly?"
"Doesn’t mattterr... yu co... now..." the troll muttered with a beckoning gesture.
"I knew that wouldn’t work," I sighed, rising to my feet. "Let’s go then."
The trolls’ faces tugged into revolting smiles, making their tusks appear even creepier.
When I moved closer, the trolls turned and began leading the way.
The mont their backs faced , I pushed off the ground and hurtled forward, swinging my sword in a horizontal motion aid at their necks.
"Pseudo Sword Aura!"
In an instant, five trolls fell to the ground, their heads sliced cleanly off by the fluid motion of my blade.
Ding...
"Blood Tempering activated!
Shinku no Sabi is absorbing the blood of the targets..."
"Yin energy 1500"
"Yu damn humannnn!!!!!" the others roared, rushing at with their weapons.
"I need to finish this as soon as possible."
Within seconds, I was surrounded by trolls from all sides, each attack heavier and deadlier than the last.
Thanks to Divine Sense, I could block every incoming attack, but due to the extre physical strength behind them, I couldn’t launch my own counterattacks.
"Tsk! At this rate, I’ll exhaust all of my Yang energy using Sword Aura."
"Void Step!"
My body vanished from the centre of their barrage and reappeared at the farthest end, where a few trolls were still waiting for their turn to attack.
Not wasting the opportunity, I beheaded five more trolls with a single sharp swing of Shinku no Sabi from behind.
"Humann... there!!!" the trolls shouted, pointing at .
However, before they could surround again, I vanished once more—this ti appearing on the opposite side.
These trolls were no doubt smarter than most dungeon monsters, but they were still not smart enough to predict that I would obviously appear behind them again.
In the next two Void Steps, I beheaded all of the remaining trolls, their heads rolling across the ground like oversized billiard balls.
"Yin energy 5600"
"Yang energy -2500"
