"The First Prince of the Azure Sun Empire, Hector Solaris, has arrived!!" the guards announced, drawing the attention of everyone present inside the hall.
Following the announcent, a handso young man arrived, his short blonde hair neatly styled. He was adorned in formal attire, embroidered with tallic patterns that matched the amber hue of his eyes. Upon reaching the center of the hall, the prince bowed respectfully to Kharos. Straightening himself, he then turned toward Voltrex, gave a slight bow, and said,
"Thank you, King Voltrex, for guiding us toward victory in this war."
Voltrex nodded, acknowledging his courtesy, and replied,
"Your firstborn is handso and well-mannered, Emperor Kharos."
Gratified by Voltrex’s praise for his son, Kharos chuckled.
"Haha, not as much as you flatter him, but I am indeed blessed with capable sons, King Voltrex."
Once Hector had settled into his seat, another announcent echoed through the hall.
"The Second Prince of the Azure Sun Empire, Adam Solaris, has arrived!!"
Once again, eyes shifted toward the entrance, but this ti, instead of warmth or excitent, they carried varied expressions of disdain, especially from the Thunderbanes. Since Azhryx had revealed the reason for attacking human territory and declaring war, Adam’s already tarnished reputation had been dragged further into the mud. Knowing that he was the cause of the thirty-year-long war, and the reason behind the deaths of their disciples, the Thunderbanes disliked his presence in the Sentinel Line and made no effort to conceal their discontent.
Unlike his elder brother, Adam entered with two beautiful won clinging to his arms. His robe was worn open at the front, shalessly exposing his chest, while his long hair lay slightly disheveled. His body was skinny, and his face carried an elegance more akin to that of a woman.
"Greetings, Your Majesty," he said, pushing the woman aside before bowing to Kharos. He then moved toward his seat with the woman, outright ignoring Voltrex.
"Adam, co here and greet King Voltrex!" Kharos commanded sharply.
"Huh? Whom again?" Adam murmured, casting a look of disgust toward Voltrex. "Isn’t he just a king of one of the lands within our territory? Shouldn’t he be the one greeting —"
Before he could finish his words, in the blink of an eye, every Thunderbane present in the hall surrounded Adam, their swords unsheathed and pointed at him. Their eyes burned with barely restrained fury. At the forefront, standing closest to Adam, was none other than Voltrex’s elder brother—Stormir El Thunderbane.
"Oy, brat," Stormir muttered coldly. "The cri of disrespecting the King of the Hundred Sky Mountains is punishable by imdiate execution. It doesn’t matter whether the perpetrator is a noble, a prince, a king, or even a god."
Seeing their prince’s life in danger, the royal knights instantly unsheathed their swords as well, ready to defend Adam at any cost.
"H-how dare you point your swords at —Adam Solaris, the Prince of the Azure Sun Empire!" Adam shouted, though his body was already drenched in sweat. "Knights! Kill them—"
Before the situation could spiral out of control, Kharos shouted, his command allowing no disobedience.
"Adam! Apologize to King Voltrex!"
"Huh? But Father, I haven’t done anything—"
"I said apologize!!!" Kharos roared, his eyes blazing with fury as the entire tent trembled beneath his voice.
"Tsk! This is ridiculous," Adam spat, aggressively shoving the two won beside him to the floor as he began to leave the hall.
The Thunderbanes barely restrained themselves from beheading him on the spot, held back only because Voltrex had given no order to act.
"Forgive my son, King Voltrex," Kharos sighed, facepalming himself. "My second son is quite unruly."
Just as Adam reached halfway out, a tail of golden lightning slithered into the hall like a serpent. It slowly coiled around his body, lifted him into the air, and, before anyone could react, smashed him down at Voltrex’s feet.
"You are not leaving anywhere unless you apologize to the King of the Seven Banes and Ruler of the Hundred Sky Mountains!"
A deep, commanding voice echoed throughout the hall as two figures entered.
One was a white-haired goddess of ethereal beauty, her arm elegantly linked with the figure beside her, the very source from which the golden lightning had erupted to force Adam to the floor.
His golden hair shimred with heavenly radiance, and his sharp eyes of the sa hue carried a depth as vast as the oceans.
The mont they entered, the guard, one of the soldiers who had fought in the war against the demons for the past thirty years, announced, his voice louder than ever and laced with undying reverence,
"The Prince of the Hundred Sky Mountains, heir to the Heaven’s Sovereign Throne, and the God of Lightning and Thunder—Taranis El Thunderbane has arrived!"
Taranis turned his sharp gaze toward the guard and muttered,
"I’m not the only one who has arrived."
The guard flinched, instantly realizing the aning behind Taranis’s words. Considering won beneath n, no announcent had been made for the woman’s arrival until now, not even for the queens. And now, Taranis had openly demanded that the entrance of the woman beside him be announced. Yet he was rely a guard, with no choice but to obey.
Swallowing hard, the guard announced loudly,
"Th-the Snow Goddess of the Hundred Sky Mountains, Nyria El Snowbane, has arrived."
Satisfied with the announcent, Taranis moved forward alongside Nyria. Both advanced with elegant grace, carrying the overwhelming presence befitting gods.
Throughout this ti, the golden lightning continued to force Adam to the floor, boasting the absolute control Taranis wielded over Sovereign-class lightning.
When Taranis and Nyria reached the center of the hall, the Thunderbanes bowed in respect, proud smiles tugging at their faces at the actions of their prince. The royal knights, however, remained rooted in place, their swords still unsheathed, yet unable to bring themselves to advance toward the one revered as a god.
"H-how dare you openly attack the Prince of the Azure Sun Empire?!" Adam shouted, even as his face remained buried against the floor. "Th-this is blasphemy!!"
"Impertinence," Taranis muttered coldly.
Lightning thundered through the hall as it tightened its grip on Adam, surging higher around his arm and turning it instantly red.
"Aghhhh!!!" Adam scread in agony, wracked by the electrical shock and the crushing hold of the lightning around his body.
"K-King Voltrex, tell your son to release Adam," Kharos said, his usually calm voice now tinged with urgency. "He could suffer serious injury."
A faint, concealed smile tugged at Voltrex’s lips as he replied,
"Forgive my son, Emperor Kharos. He is also rather unruly."
