"I will kill you!" Cedric roared, lunging at , his sword aid at my right arm.
As the blade drew closer, I grabbed it with my bare hand, my disappointed gaze locking onto Cedric.
He flinched the mont he realized how effortlessly I had blocked an attack into which he had poured more than half of his strength. In a sudden jolt, he tried to pull his sword back, but it did not move even slightly. Gritting his teeth, he grasped the hilt with both hands and tried again, veins bulging along his arms, yet he failed miserably to shift it even a fraction.
"Strongest warriors of the Western Continent, huh?" I muttered, tightening my grip around the blade.
A sharp cracking sound rang out, and in the next instant, the sword snapped into two.
"So you are a body cultivator!" Cedric spat, instantly retreating several steps. "I will make you my slave for the rest of your miserable life for breaking my sword!"
Small bolts of red lightning began flickering around his body. In the next instant, he lunged at at high speed, violent condensed lightning materializing in his hands.
However, before he could reach , I had already appeared behind him in midair.
A chill ran down Cedric’s spine as he sensed my presence. He tried to turn at once, but his fate had already been sealed.
At a terrifying speed, my kick landed against his side, briefly forming a visible arc from the impact before he was sent crashing into the ground with a deafening thud.
His subordinates, who had been beating Rowan, imdiately turned their attention toward .
"How dare you attack a Thunderbane!" one of them shouted. "You are courting death!"
The group was about to gang up on when a commanding voice echoed out, halting them in their tracks.
"All of you, stay back!" Cedric shouted as he struggled to his feet, clutching his side where I had struck him. "I will not have my honor sullied by a lowborn."
"But senior bro—"
"Silence!" Cedric snapped, refusing to hear any further words.
His sharp gaze, filled with rage, locked onto as he took a proper fighting stance.
After witnessing how easily I had broken his sword and how effortlessly I had appeared behind him, he finally realized that I was not an opponent to be taken lightly.
This ti, instead of charging blindly, he approached with cautious steps, forming a long rod of crimson lightning in his hands.
Using the lightning rod like a whip, he launched dozens of attacks toward in rapid succession.
To his frustration, not a single strike landed. I evaded every attack with minimal movent, closing the distance with each dodge.
"Calling yourselves warriors when you have spent your entire lives under the protection of the sect," I muttered, veins of fury bulging on my forehead.
The air around thickened as I shouted in a thunderous voice,
"You are nothing but frogs in a well, drunk on the achievents of your predecessors!"
Before Cedric could react, I appeared right in front of him and delivered a sharp slap across his face.
The force was so great that his head slamd into the stone path beneath him, shattering it on impact.
I did not stop there. Grabbing him by the collar, I lifted his half conscious body into the air with one hand.
"Pathetic. Utterly pathetic."
"Leave Senior Brother Cedric alone!" his subordinates shouted as they rushed toward , unable to restrain themselves any longer.
"Since you are the ones attacking , this is nothing more than self defense," I said, tossing Cedric aside before turning my attention to the remaining three.
Bam-Bam!
Pow-Pow-Pow!
Thud!
---
"In the cultivation world, strength is what determines seniority, not age, status, or how long one has been in the sect," I said with my arms folded.
After a brief pause, I shouted irritably, "I do not hear a response!"
"W we understand!" the group, along with Cedric, shouted in unison as they knelt before . Their cheeks were swollen and red from the lesson I had delivered.
Yes, I had only slapped their faces and continued until they beca obedient.
"Hm, very well then," I said, my voice calming as I stretched my arms. "Address as senior brother from now on."
"Th that’s—"
"Hm? Am I hearing disobedience again?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I cracked my knuckles.
The group shuddered in fear as they watched slowly approach.
"We understand, Senior Brother Lucifer," they said hurriedly, clutching their cheeks.
"Good. Go about your business," I replied with an irritated wave of my hand before turning away.
"Th thank you, Lucifer," Rowan murmured with tear filled eyes, his head lowered as I passed him.
"Do not misunderstand, Rowan," I said coldly. "Those who oppress others using their status, and those who allow themselves to be bullied instead of standing up for themselves, are equally pathetic to ."
Fixing him with the sa disappointed gaze, I muttered, "You are no different from them in my eyes."
Rowan did not respond. He could not find the words to argue back, or perhaps every excuse he thought of sounded hollow even to himself.
In the end, clenching his teeth in frustration, he spoke only one sentence.
"I will make sure you never look at with that gaze again."

"Is this really the Thunderbane Sect?" I sighed, lying on the bed inside my chamber.
The Thunderbanes were once proud warriors who placed honor above everything else. Never had a Thunderbane committed such pathetic acts, whether it was oppressing others or allowing themselves to be oppressed.
"Careful with your words," a voice resounded inside the room.
I raised my head and found Master Robert standing within the chamber.
"Greetings, Master Robert. I did not sense your arrival at all," I said as I rose to my feet.
In truth, I had sensed his presence long ago.
When I broke through to the Mid Tier Realm, my Divine Sense had also improved, allowing to detect even the faintest presence within a five hundred ter radius around . To be honest, this was not sothing new, but a skill I had possessed in my younger days. Although it was not at its forr level, my senses had grown significantly after my mories and experiences from the devastating war with the demons were unsealed.
Master Robert had been silently observing everything from the mont Cedric and his group tried to provoke . I had already expected him to appear once I returned to my chamber, since he had not intervened outside.
"Disrespecting the Treasure Hall Master and engaging in combat with Thunderbanes whom one day you will serve as your master on your very first day here," Master Robert muttered, his sharp gaze piercing into .
"Prepare to answer for your actions, Lucifer Morningstar!"
