"Have you cald down now?" I asked, as her breathing had stabilized.
She stood with arms crossed, her pale pink eyes fixed on the distant city.
She gave a slight nod and murmured,
"Taranis, I don't like this place. Let's return to Vyoman."
"Is that the only reason?" I asked, standing beside her.
"Y-yes, what other reason could I—"
"What did you see in the prophecy?" I asked, cutting her off mid-sentence.
I rembered from her mories that she had the ability to see prophecies. I did not know how it worked or what triggered it, but I could assu from her behavior that it was connected to and Earth.
U pursed her lips, her irises trembling as she recalled the vision.
Taking a deep breath, she regained her composure, ford a faint smile, and murmured,
"You do not need to worry about it. It's nothing serious."
I looked into her eyes for a few seconds, clearly knowing that she was lying and trying to hide sothing.
Moving my hand behind her, I pulled her closer and embraced her. "It's alright if you can't say it. Just rember, whatever you saw, we will face it together."
A gentle breeze passed through us, swaying our hair. She rested her head on my chest and closed her eyes.
"S-sister U!" Nyria's shocked voice rang out from behind.
"Oh, Nyria was here as we—"
Before I could even turn around, a heavy kick landed across my face, spinning in a full circle before I fell face-first onto the ground.
"How dare you touch my sister!" Nyria shouted.
"Sister U, what were you thinking, hugging a random person?"
"Sis Nym, that's not a random person. He is Taranis," U exclaid, turning my body to reveal my face.
---
"You sure didn't hold back with that kick. If I were a normal person, I would have already kicked the bucket," I hissed, my hand resting on my swollen cheek.
We sat on the zenith of the himm, U and Nyria on either side of .
Coincidentally, the two had been teleported only a few hundred ters apart. Nyria had sensed U's presence and followed it here, where she found her hugging .
"I'm really sorry," Nyria murmured, tugging at her ears. "Your height, body structure, and even your Soulforce signature are different, so I couldn't recognize you. I thought you were a stranger."
"Sis Nym! How could you even assu that I would embrace a random person?" U muttered, her furrowed brows showing clear offense.
"I was just too angry to think clearly," Nyria said softly, her eyes dropping. "Forgive , Sister U."
"Now that we are all together, should we first check where we are exactly?" I proposed, rising to my feet.
From the unique shapes of the buildings and the foreign advertisents playing on the massive screens, I could tell that we were not in India.
"Taranis, bring us sothing proper to wear first," U said, drawing her legs closer to herself. She and Nyria were still wearing the sa night suits from before the teleportation. Even though the clothes had been duplicated, the fabric now seed fragile. "I don't want people to see us like this."
"Alright, I will buy you clothes from the city. Wear these for the ti being," I said, handing them their silken robes from my inventory.
Yes, they were using as their wardrobe, even though they both had storage rings. In their defense, their rings were already filled with clothes and Soul Stones.
The area was sowhat isolated, but there were still a few people around, strolling and enjoying the view.
Nyria cast a small opaque ice barrier to provide privacy while they changed clothes. Of course, they kicked poor out.
"Tch, what's there left to hide?" I muttered, standing outside with my arms crossed.
From my pocket, I pulled out my phone and checked the current location.
"Ha-haha, so I'm really not in India?" I stuttered, dumbfounded.
The location read: Twin Peaks, San Francisco.
---
"Excuse , you're completely my type. Can I get your number?" A young man with blonde hair appeared beside U, wearing the kind of smile that suggested he found himself charming.
Before U could respond, Nyria fixed him with a cold stare and muttered,
"Piss off. She's off limits."
He froze completely, like soone who had reached for warmth and touched ice instead.
"What is this improper, undignified place?" Nyria muttered, turning away from him. "We have been here for ten minutes, and that was the sixteenth person."
"Ha-haha... please just ignore them," I said, laughing in a way that convinced no one.
I couldn't bla the n for approaching.
Nyria's skin was milk-pale, almost luminous under the street lamps, with a complexion that made people stop mid-step and stare. U was no easier to ignore, her pink hair catching the light and swaying with every step as though it moved to its own quiet rhythm. The long silk robes they wore, white and red respectively, did nothing to help. If anything, they only encouraged n to go from staring to actually approaching.
It was a good thing I had told them to suppress their divine Soulforce, which made their bodies and hair shimr with an ethereal glow. U had also concealed her beastly traits using illusion magic.
"T-Taranis?" U murmured, tugging at my sleeve.
Once she had my attention, she continued, "Wh-why are most people walking around half-naked? Does your world not have the concept of sha?"
She was referring to the won wearing short skirts, one-pieces, and clothes with deep necklines.
"They are wearing clothes, U," I replied, holding back my laughter at her adorably flustered expression. "These are common here."
"What a strange world..." Nyria murmured. "It must be nice for you, since you are a pervert."
'Th-this little hamster,' I muttered inwardly. 'Let show you what true perversion really is.'
"Ladies, would you like to do so shopping?" I said, pointing toward a shop nad Good Vibrations.
