At this point, Xiao Hui paused and added, “What’s up with those private rooms over there? I’ve never had the chance to book one myself.”
Upon hearing this, President ng quickly lowered his raised glass, and with a sense of urgency, he asked, “What did you say?”
Xiao Hui replied, “I said those two fools don’t understand the rules.”
“Not that line, the one after.”
“Which line?” Xiao Hui paused, then recalled, saying, “I asked what those private rooms are for over there?”
President ng said, “The rooms over there are the most lavish in the hotel, ant exclusively for hosting top-tier guests. Not just anyone can dine there. Don’t tell Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou went in there?”
“They probably went into the wrong room accidentally. They hardly seem eligible for that.” Xiao Hui sneered.
President ng hesitated for a mont, then said, “I’ll go check it out.”
Xiao Hui quickly said, “President ng, why bother with them? Let’s keep drinking.”
President ng was far sharper than Xiao Hui. Sensing sothing was off, he said, “No, I must take a look.”
Stepping out of the private room, President ng approached the doorman. Even though the service here wasn’t quite as premium as at Song Xiaodong’s area, it was relatively better, with several attendants present at the entrance.
“Those two who ca to us earlier are my friends. My buddy drank too much and offended them, so I’m going to apologize now. Did you see which private room they went into?”

Being a local with a decent stature, he was well acquainted with the hotel’s workings, particularly the innermost trio of suites. He had occasionally heard of people dining in the Number Three and Number Two suites, but the Number One Suite was one he had never seen anyone dine in.
