"Sorry, I need to make a call." Song Xiaodong said to everyone, then walked outside to the restroom to call Lin Su’er.
"Buzz buzz buzz."
No one answered.
Everyone at the table clearly heard Song Xiaodong say, "wife."
"Director Qiao, is Mr. Song married?" Yang Chao lightly asked Qiao Yutong.
Li Fanglan glared at Yang Chao.
"Yes." Qiao Yutong nodded.
"So, Mr. Song already has a family." Upon hearing this, Wang Hongfei seed a bit excited.
"Mr. Song is really not fair; he’s married but still clings to Director Qiao, not giving us single guys a chance." Wang Hongfei complained about Song Xiaodong.
"Yeah, Director Qiao, you’re so close with Mr. Song; isn’t his wife upset?" said a tactless young boss nearby.
Qiao Yutong’s face turned red and then white.
"Director Qiao, I thought you and Mr. Song were a couple. I guess I was overthinking it, but I suddenly feel much lighter." Wang Hongfei revealed his fondness to Qiao Yutong.
Qiao Yutong still didn’t speak.
Song Xiaodong returned, looking a bit upset, and ca to Qiao Yutong’s side, whispering in her ear: "Director Qiao, how about we leave first? Director Lin went ho and locked herself in her room; I don’t know what she’s doing in there. I need to go check on her."

Chapter 1937: I’m Fine, I’ve Had Enough
"Oh dear, Director Qiao, don’t drink alone, I’ll join you!" Wang Hongfei quickly downed a glass as well.
"Director Qiao, why aren’t you speaking? Are you unhappy?" Wang Hongfei leaned over, tilting his head to ask Qiao Yutong.
Qiao Yutong didn’t speak, took another shot.

A group of people exchanged glances, quietly leaving the table. Soon, there were fewer and fewer people, leaving only Wang Hongfei and Qiao Yutong.
"Getting drunk, so what, anyway he won’t care. He’s a married man." The drunken Qiao Yutong began to ramble.
Hearing this, Wang Hongfei understood that Director Qiao liked Song Xiaodong.

"How is it?" Song Xiaodong asked as he ca through the door, seeing Song Xiaoru, Miao Qingqing, Miao Xuanxuan, Sun Yiyi, Chu Xianling, and Su Yuya gathered around Lin Su’er’s door.
"She cried for a while, and now there’s no sound." Sun Yiyi replied.
"Alright, you all go back." Song Xiaodong shooed everyone away, leaving only Song Xiaoru.
"Su’er!" Song Xiaodong knocked on the door, calling out.
"Please open the door!" Song Xiaodong called again, pressing his ear to the door, hearing nothing. He used his sensory ability to know that Lin Su’er was sitting on the bed motionless, in a daze.
"Su’er, open the door, Xiaodong is back!" Song Xiaoru called to the door.
"Open the door, or I’ll break it down, and you’ll have to pay for the repair!" Song Xiaodong shouted inside.
There ca the sound of getting up from bed, putting on slippers, and walking.
"Creak—" The door opened a crack.
Nothing was revealed through the crack. Lin Su’er hid inside, her voice choked as if her nose was blocked, saying to Song Xiaodong: "Don’t worry about ; I’m fine. I want to sleep."
Song Xiaodong glanced back at Song Xiaoru, and Song Xiaoru said to him: "Good, as long as the door is open, we’ll go to bed."
After saying this, Song Xiaoru returned to her room.
"Don’t block the door; I’m coming in." Song Xiaodong said softly to Lin Su’er.
"I won’t let you in, don’t co in!" Lin Su’er pressed her whole body against the door, preventing Song Xiaodong from entering.
"Be good, listen, if you don’t let in, I’ll call everyone in to laugh at you!" Song Xiaodong said.
Lin Su’er then opened the door, stood behind it, head bowed, clad in pajamas, creased all over, hair ssy, and two tear stains on her face.
Song Xiaodong squeezed in, closed the door, held Lin Su’er tightly, carried her to the bed, seated her in his lap, gently wiped away her tear stains, and softly said: "What’s wrong, crying at this age?"
