"Do you have sothing to do? Then I’ll leave too." Qiao Yutong said to Song Xiaodong.

"Alright, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight." Song Xiaodong said to Qiao Yutong.

"No." Qiao Yutong refused.

"Why?" Song Xiaodong asked.

"I don’t want to be with you all day." Qiao Yutong said.

"Alright, alright."

"I’ll give you a ride back to the precinct."

"Okay."

Song Xiaodong took Qiao Yutong back to the police station, then headed straight to Lin Su’er Hospital.

The lobby on the first floor was filled with chickenpox patients, the air reeking of a foul odor, causing other patients and staff to cover their noses and take a detour.

Seeing the crowded lobby, Song Xiaodong turned around and went to the back door, went upstairs from there, and found his office.

At the door, a staff mber was already waiting and rushed to greet Song Xiaodong as soon as he saw him, saying, "Mr. Song, you’re finally back. The lobby downstairs is packed with chickenpox patients, all demanding to see you in the clinic. It’s great that you’re back, please go and take a look."

"Alright." Song Xiaodong nodded and entered his office.

"Mr. Song, I’m going to find Vice President Zhao."

Upon hearing that Song Xiaodong had finally returned, Vice President Zhao hurriedly trotted over to Song Xiaodong’s office.

"Mr. Song, please think of a solution quickly. The service lobby downstairs is cramd with chickenpox patients, it’s affecting our work!" Vice President Zhao said to Song Xiaodong.

Song Xiaodong said to Vice President Zhao, "Vice President Zhao, here’s the plan: free up a eting room and have them all wait there together."

"Alright, I’ll get on it right away."

In the first-floor lobby, a staff mber shouted to the chickenpox patients, "Chickenpox patients, follow , go upstairs, room 207 on the second floor."

A group of listless chickenpox patients, their hands constantly scratching their bodies, faces contorted with pain, and covered in large blisters, followed the staff mber, like a group of zombies, a putrid sll emanating from them, slowly walked up to the second floor.

About 120 of them arrived and sat in the eting room on the second floor, discussing among themselves.

"Mr. Song, everything’s arranged." Vice President Zhao inford and, after setting it all up, told Song Xiaodong.

"Let’s go." Song Xiaodong beckoned to Vice President Zhao to co along.

"Mr. Song, I think it’s not appropriate for to go." Vice President Zhao didn’t move.

Song Xiaodong gave a light smile.

This old fox was afraid of being implicated by any tricks Song Xiaodong might pull and didn’t want to go et those patients with him.

"Alright, Vice President Zhao, you’re busy."

Song Xiaodong went to the eting room by himself.

"It’s him, it’s the physician who prescribed us the herbal dicine, and now we’ve stopped itching!" The four patients who saw him yesterday and received the dicine from Song Xiaodong said.

These patients were all brought by those four patients, and they all lived in Daohua Village, and news spread quickly there.

Song Xiaodong treated those four patients, intending for these people to all co to this hospital.

"Doctor, you must save us! We’ll kneel for you!"

The patients, unable to bear the tornt of chickenpox any longer, all left their seats, trying to kneel before Song Xiaodong.

Song Xiaodong’s expression was sharp, like an emperor inspecting his subjects, standing on the podium in the eting room, looked down at the people below as if they were ants, unmoved by their kowtowing.

"Doctor, we are in too much pain, I even wish I were dead!"

Song Xiaodong remained silent for a long ti, finally speaking coldly, "Do you know why you got sick?"

The crowd, not understanding, exchanged glances privately before responding, "No idea..."

"Since you don’t know, just go back. I won’t treat people who don’t know why they’re sick." Song Xiaodong turned to leave.

"Hey? Doctor, what are you saying? Healing the sick is a doctor’s duty, how can you be like this?" shouted an elderly woman below whose body was covered in blisters.

"Have you ever read ’The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber’?" Song Xiaodong asked everyone.

The crowd below remained silent.

"Do you not know about the Divine Doctor who allegedly won’t save people at death’s door?"

Having said that, Song Xiaodong walked out.

"Hey! Doctor!"

Song Xiaodong went back to his office.

Of course, the group of patients wouldn’t let it go, but Song Xiaodong moved quickly, in no ti he was on the third floor, entering his office and locking the door.

A group of angry patients surged up to the third floor from the second, found Song Xiaodong’s office, and banged on the door.

"Co out!"

"As a physician, how can you refuse to treat patients?"

"How can you be so heartless?"

"If you don’t co out, I’ll break the door down!"

"Co out!"

"Why won’t you treat ?"

"If you have the skills to heal, have the courage to open the door!"

"Open the door, open the door, open the door!"

"Second Auntie, how about this, even though this doctor won’t treat us, we still have the prescription he gave us yesterday, can’t we just follow that prescription, get the dicine and take it ourselves? Why do we have to beg this bastard of a doctor?" said one patient who was treated by Song Xiaodong yesterday.

"Sounds good!"

"Then let’s go get the dicine."

"Hmph, feel free to try, if it works, I’ll consider it my loss!" Song Xiaodong sat on his swivel chair, lifted a thermos cup, took a sip of water, and looked at the patients gradually dispersing outside the door, speaking with a smirk.

A group of patients then marched off to the herbal dicine room to get dicine.

Several patients in a row picked those particularly nasty-tasting ingredients, making the herbal pharmacist very puzzled, asking the patients, "Which physician prescribed you such a formula?"

"No physician prescribed it, we’re using it ourselves!"
