In Jeff’s tiline, before his regression, the following events would happen to Jess on the first day of their vacation.
While Jess was swimming with her friends at the beach, she would be hit by a large wave.
It wasn’t as if Jess’s life was in danger. She’d swallow a bit of seawater, but she wouldn’t drown. However, Jess would be caught in what Jeff called a "lucky pervert event," as the wave would strip off the top of her two-piece swimsuit, exposing her breasts to everyone around her.
Back then, Jeff would just look away, trying to suppress his feelings for Jess and the guilt over his lustful thoughts.
As Jess was being sexually harassed by the lecherous guys around her, Trud would step in to "rescue" her—or so Jeff had believed at the ti.
Later, Jeff would co to realize that Trud had done sothing to Jess after dragging her away from the group.
Trud was Jess’s boyfriend at the ti, so Jeff had assud it was natural—even acceptable—if Trud got aroused and did sothing perverted after seeing Jess exposed. But seeing how uncomfortable Jess was afterward made Jeff regret not stopping Trud from taking her away.
Now, with Trud out of the picture thanks to Jeff’s interference, all he has to deal with are the lecherous guys clearly stalking Jess since the mont they arrived at the beach.
But even if he wanted to beat them all up, it’s not like he could start rampaging in public. It would be easier to just stay close and focus on Jess.

"That’s right... So stop ogling Jess in public while pitching a tent," Marc added, mirroring Kris’s stare.
"I’m not looking at her like that, bastards." Jeff replied casually, eyes still fixed on Jess.

To be fair, Jeff wasn’t staring at Jess while fantasizing about her like he usually would.
He needed to ti his move just right to successfully complete the fifth quest of the Returner Fantasy System.

Unaware of Jeff’s sche, Kris and Marc continued chatting while the three of them lounged under the beach umbrella.

"Yeah, we were pretty sure you were going after Veena. You two were pretty close in high school, and she’s coming to our university this year."
Veena was their junior back in high school, soone Jeff always looked after during club activities. She was one of those girls who blended in with the guys and got along well with them.
"I didn’t make a move on her for your sake," Kris said.
"But since you have Jess now, it’s okay if I go for Veena, right?" Marc followed up, clearly hinting at the sa intention.
"Have so damn respect. I have a plan for Veena," Jeff replied, eyes still on Jess.
"Pervert."
"Hentai."
"Bastards."
That topic ended there. A minute passed before they picked up a new one.
"What about Kasumi? You two were pretty close too." Kris said.
Kasumi was was Jeff’s college friend—soone in the sa departnt as him, Kris, and Marc.
"Do you have a plan to deal with her boyfriend?" Marc asked, still watching the "beach".
"I’m thinking of how to handle that jackass," Jeff replied darkly.
That conversation ended there. Another minute passed, and a new topic began, following the sa rhythm.
"What about Nubia-senpai?"
"She broke up with her boyfriend, right?"
Kris brought it up, and Marc followed through.
"Don’t worry about Nubia-senpai. I’ll look after her when the ti cos," Jeff said, rembering how she gave him a ride to the East Coast City before parting ways.
So you’re planning to legally build your harem. Kris and Marc thought, completely misreading Jeff’s serious expression as he stared at Jess.
That topic ended. Another minute passed, and a familiar routine played out again.
"By the way, do Jess’s twin friends have boyfriends?"
"Can you ask her about Mina and Mira? You know... as thanks for us looking out for her?"
"Please just shut up, you two harem lords!"
Harem Lord—as ridiculous as it sounded—was not a title Jeff made up to mock them. It was, in fact, an official title given to Kris and Marc at their high school graduation.
Kris held the record for dating 36 girls during their three years of high school, while Marc juggled seven girlfriends at once—without any of them knowing about the others.

For a second, Jeff tore his gaze from Jess to stare at Kris and Marc in disbelief.
It was true—both had toned down their womanizing, to a degree. Kris was now "loyal" to the three girls he was currently dating, and Marc had finally begun asking his girlfriends for permission before adding a new one to the mix.
But still, that didn’t change the fact that they were harem lords.
As those mories of high school embarrassnt surfaced, Jeff realized—it was finally ti to act.

Kris and Marc watched, surprised, as Jeff suddenly stood up and walked away.
Without turning back, Jeff gave them his answer.
