"You know... Symphony of Shadows wants you back." Livia inford as Aren picked the first script from the pile, flipping the page to start reading.
"Not happening." Aren answered as he continued reading the script.
"It was Fin Jacobs who called," Livia said, a faint smile spreading across her lips as she noticed Aren’s hand halt for a second.
Then, she continued: "He apologized and said that you had already undergone the rcenary training. Additionally, you already shot so many scenes. Wouldn’t it be better to return? Ryan Black is struggling with the training."
Aren raised his head to look at her and then let out a helpless sigh.
"It’s not possible. I promised Ember Sunburn that I will not appear in anything associated with the Phoenix group for a year. Sa is true for Lisa."
This was one of the conditions Ember put in front of Aren in their eting.
At first, she demanded Aren to not feature in anything related to the Phoenix group for the entirety of his career; however, when Aren didn’t budge, she didn’t have any other choice but to reduce it to a year after so long negotiations.
She also wanted to sign him to her agency; however, Aren refused it right away.
He wasn’t one to get trapped in her agency trap. Once he got involved with her, she would be able to keep an eye on him and even influence his career choices. He didn’t want to give anyone that kind of power over him.
Yes. Celebrities signed with agencies for many benefits; however, he was alright without having those said benefits.
If he felt like it, he could join an agency later when he would be influential enough to make his own demands.
"Alright then," Livia said, standing to her feet with a smile, "since there isn’t anything for to do, I’ll leave you alone. Select a script and inform when you make a decision."
Aren nodded as he engrossed himself in one of the scripts.
Soon, Aren was alone in his room, flipping page after page, reading script after script.
This went on for another five hours before he found it...
The script that made his heart pound in excitent.
It was the story of a mafia boss lying on his deathbed, all alone with no one to cry for him. His gang had already chosen a new boss, leaving his old bones coughing in an isolated room as he coughed a mouthful of blood and died.
However, that wasn’t the end.
Instead, it was the beginning.
He returned (regressed) to his high school days when he was getting bullied by a group of kids. However, as he retaliates, he realizes just what made him turn to the world of cri in his past life.
Was it easy to escape his fate?
He didn’t want to lose people precious to him this ti.
He didn’t want to enter the world of the underworld again.
This story was of him trying to escape his fate, trying to spend a normal life.
However, the circumstances wouldn’t allow it—as if so god was playing with him, watching him struggle.
Despite his previous life’s mories, it won’t be easy, and that’s what made the story so interesting and captivating.
He imdiately called Livia and told her his decision.
When she asked for the na of the script, only then did he turn the script to read its na—

Aren suddenly felt embarrassed, sensing Livia’s awkwardness as she told him that she would contact the crew.
Aren sprawled on the bed, feeling tired after going through so many scripts. It was already 7 pm, and he was scrolling through social dia when his door was knocked on.
He went and opened the door, finding Lisa standing there.
"You’re back." He smiled at her.
"Y-yes." She answered with a flushed expression, lowering her head embarrassingly.
Aren found her adorable as he stepped aside, letting her enter with her suitcase.
After their intimate night together, Lisa beca even more shy around him, as if embarrassed upon rembering how she had acted to his touch.
The next day after that night, she went to her parent’s house, wanting to spend so ti with them.
Now that Titan Crest Entertainnt had been exposed, Aren wasn’t worried that she might be targeted or kidnapped by them, as they would be the obvious suspects if anything happened. Such a move would only attract more public outrage toward them, with nothing to gain in return.
She had returned only now after spending two full days at her parents’ house.
She took a shower and changed into her sleeping attire—the cropped top and shorts that flaunted her long legs perfectly.
She couldn’t sleep in clothes that were too tight or too suffocating. She needed to maintain the ventilation of her body to have a comfortable sleep.
At least that was what she had told Aren.
After an hour, she was sitting beside him as Aren turned to her and asked inquisitively:
"Have you decided on a drama?"
Lisa nodded, curled up against the bed fra.
"Sun Talent Agency sent a pile of scripts to choose from and also assigned a female manager."
Since Ember couldn’t sign Aren with her agency, she demanded to sign Lisa, knowing that after the scandal, she would be too popular to let go.
Aren agreed to her request and had Lisa sign with Sun Talent Agency. Since Lisa needed an agency anyway, there was nothing to lose by signing with STA.
"I looked through the scripts," Lisa continued, "and selected one that I really liked."
"Oh?" Aren raised his brows and curiously asked, "Which one?"
Aren felt that he too might have received the script since most productions wanted to cast them together.
"It’s a drama called ’My Heiress,’" Lisa turned to him and answered.
"My Heiress, huh?" Aren felt the na was familiar as he tried to recall the story, and soon, he rembered it. "Is it the one with the wealthy female heiress whose family is in trouble and she needs to marry the son of another wealthy family to get his family to help her family?"
Lisa’s eyes glead with excitent as she nodded and asked, "Did you like the script too? Will you play the male lead?"
The male lead she was talking about wasn’t the son of the wealthy family; instead, it was a poor student from her university who was a genius at everything. He was good at sports, studies, dance, and music. Anything, you na it, he would be the best at it.
The son of the wealthy family was instead the second lead who didn’t even like the female lead at first; he instead liked a poor girl from his university whose father ran a pork shop.
The story was complex and interesting.
However, he couldn’t choose two dramas at the sa ti. If both dramas were to get shot at the sa ti, it would be a problem.
However, he didn’t know how to say no to those gleaming eyes that looked at him with hope.
Still, he awkwardly replied, "I liked the script, but I chose a different script."
"Uh-oh..." Her excitent faded away as she muttered in a low voice, "Then I would have to choose a different script, huh?"
Hearing her words, Aren asked with a puzzled look, "Why? Just choose it if you want to play the role. Don’t be influenced by ."
"But," she said, pressing her lips, "it has a kissing scene."
Her cheeks turned red as she muttered shyly: "How can I kiss soone else?"
