At this mont, Neil’s secretary ca rushing in.
"Sir, see this!"
He extended his hand, showing the screen of his phone to Neil.
On the screen was a live interview with Lisa’s father by Linda Thorn.
Neil glanced at Seth and nodded.
"You can leave. I’ll watch it."
Neil had expected this. It was an obvious response from Sun News.
After all, they were on the side of the truth.
However, the most difficult thing was proving oneself innocent, and the easiest was accusing soone.
The roles have reversed now, and this ti, it was Lisa’s father defending.
In the whole interview, Linda asked questions like,
"Do you know him?"
"Did you ask him to kill Iris?"
"Do you have any proof you are innocent?"
And Lisa’s father denied all the accusations, saying that he was being frad by Titan Crest Entertainnt.
As for proof, he presented the whole neighborhood as his witness. He hadn’t left his house in weeks; how could he have t that man?
As for calls, he presented his call logs from the network company, saying that he hadn’t called that man in more than a month.
Of course, people had divided reactions.
So believed him.
[Think about it. Why would he try to kill Iris? Wasn’t Titan Crest Entertainnt already suffering? Lucian is already in jail, and his trial is ongoing. Do you really think he would go as far as to try to kill Iris?]
[I believe him. All the neighbors vouched for him. His call logs reflected that he never called that man. If he didn’t even leave the house, then how can you accuse him? Isn’t this more than enough proof? He is being frad.]
So were skeptical.
[He could’ve just called him from an unknown number or a hidden phone. Those call logs doesn’t prove anything.]
[Yeah. And him not going out of his house is even more suspicious. It’s like he knew that the accident would happen and then he would have an alibi.]
So were convinced that he was lying.
[Oh co on. Who wouldn’t deny that they didn’t commit murder?]
[Are you saying the chairman of Titan Crest Entertainnt intentionally hard his own daughter? Then how co the culprit turned out to be an acquaintance of Lisa’s father?]
Neil was happy with this result.
A divided public was much better than a united one. Let them fight amongst themselves, and his company could leave unscathed.
Of course, his agency had suffered too much already, but what was left of it was enough to start over.
Even with a valuation of 60 billion, his agency would be influential and could rise again.
If Aren could build the company from scratch, couldn’t he make a coback as well, returning his company to its forr glory?
But then, Seth ca rushing in again.
"Sir, see this!"
It was a post from Aren.
Neil used his phone to go to Aren’s profile, Iris doing the sa since she didn’t have anything to do in the ICU.
The post was neither audio nor video. It was a simple text.
[Since when was ramming the car of an heiress this easy? Doesn’t she usually have a line of bodyguards with her? Why was she the only one who got injured? Why wasn’t there a single bodyguard? What about the driver? Her secretary? And where was she going in such a rush? How did the man who ramd her car know her route? Is it so easy to know when she would be alone in a car?]
[Why did the man surrender on his own, even revealing the perpetrator? If he is such a close friend as to commit murder for his friend, can’t he hide his friend’s identity and take the bla on himself?]
[Also, didn’t the video of Miss Iris lying in the hospital co too fast? Did they really have the ti to shoot and edit a video when their president was in a life-and-death situation?]
[More than that, doesn’t this look too beneficial for Titan Crest Entertainnt? Just look at their shares. They are suddenly rising. Of course, I’m not implying that a father hard his daughter. But... what if the accident is fake? What if Miss Iris isn’t even injured and this is all an act to garner sympathy? After all, they are getting boycotted and losing enormous amounts of money.]
[I just had all these questions, and I would appreciate it if Titan Crest Entertainnt could provide so answers. Of course, please reply fast, otherwise, it would look like you are busy coming up with excuses and fake answers.]
Reading his post, Neil gritted his teeth: "This bastard... he always ruins everything."
Aren’s post wasn’t an accusation, because every sentence ended with a question mark. That question mark proved that he wasn’t implying anything, just asking so questions.
However, his questions were reasonable, striking at the loopholes in Neil’s plan.
Neil had executed his plan in a hurry due to his company’s falling valuation and capital, along with increasing losses. There was also Adrian pestering him.
Under this pressure, he executed his plan in haste, ultimately leaving these loopholes for the enemy to exploit.
Actually, even he hadn’t noticed so many flaws in his plan.
From his perspective, the plan had been perfect with no visible flaws, but now, it almost seed foolish.
Of course, after Aren’s post, people also noticed these flaws.
[Now that I think about it. It’s really peculiar. This whole accident thing sounds suspicious.]
[Considering Titan Crest Entertainnt’s past record, I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be another lie.]
[Let’s wait for Titan Crest Entertainnt’s response.]
anwhile, so were still fooled.
[Soone had been in an accident, and you want answers? How can you be so heartless?]
[You want to believe that I was fooled? No way! The chairman’s tears were real. Even Iris was shown in the video, she was clearly bruised up. What about the doctor? Was he also fake according to you?]
[Don’t try to make us doubt innocents. If we try to look at everything with suspicion, who would even trust another human? Would we even be able to help each other?]
[I will wait for Titan Crest Entertainnt’s response. Once they give a proper explanation, I will have you apologize.]
