After a long silence, the legendary lawyer looked at Neil with ridicule, asking with a mocking smile.
"Didn’t you say the forr CEO never confronted you? What do you have to say now? Still want to deny it?"
Neil’s face, however, was pale. He was shocked beyond words. He never knew that Aren had recorded this conversation.
He only knew about Nathan and the video in his possession, and that, too, he had found out after long investigations.
Who would’ve thought Aren had been hiding sothing like this from him all this ti?
However, one thing was clear... he was finished.
This evidence... it clearly showed him admitting to his cri.
In that video, he had admitted to being the one who ordered the murder of Judah Hunt.
The only hope, the only tactic, had shattered due to this video.
The only way to escape without getting punished was to prove that Neil wasn’t the one who ordered Judah’s murder; however, this video proved the facts.
Was there any way to escape now?
No!
Of course not.
So he glanced at his lawyer, only to find him stumped as well.
With such an undeniable proof, what could he even do?
However, as if a sudden spark went inside the lawyer’s head, he stood up and yelled, "Objection, your honor."
"This case is for the CEO’s murder, and this evidence is for Judah Hunt’s case. This is not the place to show this evidence, and thus, this evidence is invalid."
The judge accepted his objection.
To which the legendary lawyer only smiled.
"I did this purposefully. If I had wanted, I could’ve revealed this evidence on the first day itself, but... Mr. Nathan wanted the world to see Miss Alia’s true face. He asked to drag it until now."
He then shrugged. "As for the evidence, I will just present it next week in Judah Hunt’s trial. Until then, you can despair knowing that there is nothing you can do to prevent it."
"Ah, also." He eyed Neil with an advisory smile, "If you are thinking of getting killed as well, just know that it wouldn’t help. This evidence has many copies. Moreover, in the live stream, it was aired live for all to see. You wouldn’t gain anything by having killed."
Neil could only grind his teeth at that blatant mocking remark.
Soon after the trial, the internet buzzed with posts and discussions.
[HAhaha, I’m so happy. It’s over for Neil Valcourt, that criminal.]
[Wow, the CEO seems like a righteous man judging from the evidence video. Moreover, that last ssage at the end, it was as if he knew he would die.]

It might’ve appeared that only Neil was the one getting punished by losing the trial; however, it was his whole family.
Once he was convicted as a murderer, all the shareholders and celebrities who had sued him for damages and losses would receive compensation.
And who would pay that compensation?
Of course, Neil Valcourt, the owner and chairman of Titan Crest Entertainnt.
He couldn’t even declare bankruptcy since all his money had been frozen by the governnt authorities, and all his transactions were surveilled.
Without even needing him to do anything, all his assets and wealth would be used to pay the compensations awarded by the court to the celebrities and shareholders.
Seeing them getting compensated, more and more celebrities would join in to file lawsuits on him, aiming to get compensated as well.
In this way, all his wealth was going to be exhausted. Even his mansion, the various real estate properties, and even his investnts, all would be sold to pay those compensations.
anwhile, he would be powerless to do anything since he would be imprisoned on charges of murder.
Moreover, all money related to him would get expended, aning that even his family’s accounts would be investigated.
If the source of the money in those accounts was Neil or Titan Crest Entertainnt, even that money would be used to pay compensations rewarded by the court.
And since almost all his family only had Neil’s money, even they would end up broke.
Moreover, even the properties under the na of Iris and other children of Neil would be sold since they were bought using Neil’s money.
In the end, his family would be left with only a few millions.
This was concerning; however, he wasn’t worried about his family; he was worried about himself.
Without money and power, how would he survive in prison?
Will he even be able to get out in the future?
He didn’t see a road ahead, and that made him despair over the situation.
Who would’ve thought that Lucian’s lust towards Lisa would cause Neil’s cris to be exposed in such a manner?
Who would’ve even guessed that Lucian’s scandal would blow so big as to destroy a major giant agency like Titan Crest Entertainnt?
All he had earned in his life was getting snatched away.
Even his children weren’t going to receive anything.
The only one still afloat was Alia.
Since her wealth didn’t co from Neil, she was safe.
Aren’s wealth was enough to let her live comfortably for the rest of her life. She could even help Neil’s family survive.
But even that was only until Aren’s death wasn’t proven to be a murder. Once it was revealed that he had really been killed, even Alia would face the sa end.
Thus, Neil ca up with a plan.
The next week in the court trial, the legendary lawyer showed the evidence once again, and the ruling was passed.
The legendary lawyer had requested, "Your honor, I request life imprisonnt as Neil Valcourt’s punishnt. A death penalty wouldn’t be appropriate since there is another trial pending. Moreover, the victim’s family wants life imprisonnt for the criminal."
The judge considered his words and passed life imprisonnt as Neil’s punishnt.
In the next trial, Neil did sothing unexpected.
He accepted his cri himself.
"Yes, I murdered Aren Frost."
