—Aren refusing Iris’s offer and laughing at her threats.
[Damn, Aren is so savage, but he is right. There is no compensation enough for what Lisa and those three actresses went through. On top of that, this bitch is even asking for the evidence.]
[After watching this clip, I’m even more certain that Aren’s father was kidnapped by Titan Crest Entertainnt. She clearly threatened him.]
[How was Aren this confident? Was it simply because he knew that their conversation was getting recorded? But even then, who can be certain beforehand that things would turn out favorably for him?]
[I don’t care about anything. After this solid of a proof, I will support Aren and the victims. If he can put his career on the line for innocents, can’t we, as a society, boycott Titan Crest Entertainnt? He isn’t asking for much, in my opinion.]
[If, even after seeing all this evidence, people still can’t decide who is telling the truth and who is lying, then I can’t help but feel ashad of our country. We need to support victims; otherwise, tomorrow, your own family mbers may not receive support when they need it.]
...
"YOU FOOL!"
Neil roared at Iris, who stood in front of him with her head lowered, biting her lower lip in fear and apprehension. She knew she had fucked up; however, she didn’t feel that it was a mistake on her part.
How was she supposed to know there were hidden caras in the room?
At that ti, all her attention was on getting Lisa to hand over the evidence and take back her complaint.
Who would’ve thought Aren would hide caras in the room beforehand?
How could he have predicted her arrival?
However, even then, she had to shoulder all the bla of the situation.
Why?
Because there was no other choice for her.
She couldn’t exactly oppose her father or deny his accusations. She had to beco the target of her father’s frustration and anger.
"Couldn’t you have checked the room?" he yelled, his voice filled with frustration. "Everything is over now. There is no coming back from this."
His voice lowered in volu, eyes losing the fury they contained a second ago.
He was a smart man after all.
He didn’t need long to realize how dire the situation they were in was.
The evidence had been uploaded just at the right mont.
It was aid to create an impact—
Which it did.
When the public was sympathizing with Iris, so even believing her lies and doubting Aren, it was at that mont... the evidence surfaced.
It was the mont where people’s emotions were heightened and they had been fooled by Iris’s words.
And to see a video slapping their faces, calling them fools, was eye-opening and mind-shattering.
The video proved Iris a liar.
Moreover, her threats proved that it was she who was behind Aren’s blacklisting and Lisa’s obscene image spread.
It was proof that Iris wasn’t who she claid to be.
And the people who had co into the spell of her words couldn’t help but be angered at themselves and Iris.
Their friends and family who saw them taking Iris’s side before must’ve been laughing at them.
The supporters of Iris, thus, beca her biggest haters.
Titan Crest Entertainnt was thus... dood.
Neil knew that it would be boycotted by everyone.
However, the boycott of the public wasn’t what terrified him the most; it was the boycott from the entertainnt industry.
This video, which brought a wave of boycotts, also made the platforms in the entertainnt industry realize that the ones who won in this scandal were Aren and Sun Films.
Now, the whole entertainnt industry would side with the good guys and condemn the bad ones.
After all, the whole entertainnt industry was full of pretense. They needed to maintain images in front of the public.
If they didn’t support the victims now that everything was clear, how would they look? How would they explain themselves to the public when asked about it? They had to attend interviews and promotional events after all.
They couldn’t escape the questions of "Why didn’t you condemn the evil Titan Crest Entertainnt?" Or "Why didn’t you support the victims?"
No one wanted to be blank at that question, and thus, the celebrities and their agencies began to make announcents and posts.
The first was Sun Talent and Sun Films, announcing that they stood with the victims and wouldn’t air any dramas featuring artists from Titan Crest Entertainnt.
Then, AxisPlay followed, announcing a little after Sun Films.
AxisPlay was a low-tier platform, and thus, no artists from a top-tier agency like Titan Crest Entertainnt featured in their dramas. So they had no problem boycotting them since they weren’t taking any losses.
Other platforms, however, needed so ti to make such announcents.
After all, there were movies and dramas on their platforms of the said artists of Titan Crest Entertainnt. If they boycotted, they would have to suffer huge losses.
They needed so ti to make their decisions.
"What should we do, Father?" Iris asked, her voice hesitant and cautious. "Do you have a way out of this ss?"
She had seen her father manage the past attacks from Aren. He always had a way.
However, this ti, Neil was stumped.
"I do not." Neil shook his head. "We can only hope to hold on. Just don’t allow the major celebrities to leave us, and after so ti, people would start forgetting all about this." He sighed. "But even that looks difficult."
"We have truly fallen into a devious trap..." Neil inhaled and clenched his fists. "Just who orchestrated all this? Who could’ve co up with such a sinister plan to crush us?
"Now that we have fallen into their trap, I can see that every plan I ca up with was predicted by the opponent."
"It’s like we were moving according to their will..."
"...as if... we were pawns in their ga."
Even though Neil maintained a composed expression on his face, he was deeply shaken internally.
He couldn’t see a way out.
He was truly in the depths of despair.
Moreover, the more terrifying thing was that he could see the upcoming storm.
He knew what would happen in the future, and the realization that made him shudder was that there was nothing he could do to stop it.
