One spoke up, "Yes, yes, it would be good for us to have more training and warfare instrunts to arm ourselves from invading Kingdoms. And although we don't know the true motives of the ndi obodo oyibo helping us, we should accept their co-operation just in case. Then even though they would want to toy with us, we know that by then we'd have enough benefits cut off from them"

The other Elders, with no audacity to disagree with the King, all supported the matter, even though so didn't want to.
"Tell the towncrier to announce beforehand that on Monday next week, her clan mbers, along with the others, should gather at their clan square for the trial of the girl's case. Then we would give their people the choice of choosing, whether to let her stay and serve for the betternt of the Kingdom or to be banished. To not be seen as a dictator, the clan people would participate in it, and knowing them, they would want for the female to be banished". The Igwe explained.
