“We should be traveling using a steed gu worm. Senior Sister Feng loaned a—”

Bai Shou interrupted Qin Juan’s worries with a warm smile, boldly reaching out to grab her hand. The older of the duo froze in her spot before walking along her younger peer’s pace, her expression dazed until it eventually crumbled into a shy and frantic ss.

“It’s been such a long ti since we t,” Bai Shou spoke softly. “I don’t want to waste this opportunity, Junior Sister Qin. But we can avoid walking to our destination if I’m being botherso.”

Qin Juan walked quietly, slowly shaking her head. Still, she couldn’t match Bai Shou’s gaze.

“Senior Sister Feng wouldn’t like it…” She whispered after a few breaths. “We shouldn’t be wasting each other’s ti like this, Senior Sister Bai.”

“I think we have your Senior Sister’s blessing.” Bai Shou retorted with a chuckle. “After all, Sister Huang’er can observe any corner of this blessed land but took no action against us. What is it if not approval of us spending ti together?”

Qin Juan felt her face heat up.

“But… Elder Shu Zhe…”

Her voice caught in her throat as Bai Shou pulled Qin Juan with a sudden movent.

“Why don’t you try snatching ?” Bai Shou’s whisper kissed her lips.

“S-Snatching you?” Qin Juan gasped. She couldn’t help but feel a sense of loss as Bai Shou let go of her hand and skipped forward with an illicit smirk and impishness dancing in her captivating brown eyes.

“How tantalizing would it be~!” Bai Shou humd, hugging herself. “To think a Sect Elder and an Elite Disciple would want a pitiful outer disciple like —to devour and mark in ways I couldn’t imagine.” Her playful lilt and roguish sentints left Qin Juan speechless, leaving the latter’s mind working up scenarios she would ordinarily never dream of!

“Of course.”

Bai Shou’s voice deepened as heated mist escaped her pores. That warmth brought Qin Juan back to the inheritance ground, her bosom aching with that phantom tumor. And she’d felt everything except a sense of distaste when Bai Shou’s lips stuck to her breast that ti.

His sculpted body left Qin Juan feeling a familiar ache. This ti, however, it wasn’t due to a poisonous tumor but sothing far more wretched and enticing. Her throat felt dry, and her heart raced in her chest.

“I hope you’d want to snatch like this.” Bai Shou smiled, teasingly tugging one side of the robe.

The mist approached the stunned Qin Juan alongside Bai Shou’s footsteps. Soon, the curled mist hugged nearly all of the elite disciple as Bai Shou towered over her.

“Or.”

His words guided Qin Juan’s aroused and shaken mind to acts of such decadence it would leave many gasping in surprise… and hidden desire.

“Do you want this outer disciple to lower the knee?” He bent slightly, letting the loosened collar hang slightly as Qin Juan’s eyes instantly glued onto Bai Shou’s exposed form just as quickly a moth rushed to the flas.

“Perhaps, you two beautiful and powerful pair—an elite and an elder—have sothing more sinister in store for ?”

She could feel his lips near her ear. Just slightly more… just an inch more. She could feel his breath and her heart drumming loudly in her ears.

“Who’s to say a traveler like , stuck in an estranged land, can’t be exploited by everyone around him?”

“B-Brother Bai…”

Qin Juan whispered, her hands barely under control. Her fingers were dying to trace his chest just as her core throbbed to experience his arms enveloping her again.

“It really hurt , Juan’er.” Bai Shou accused gently, tenderly exhaling against Qin Juan. “How could you lower your head against Shu Zhe.”

“It’s… It’s w-wrong…” Qin Juan shuddered as she closed her eyes, relishing the sensation.

“Was I not enough?” Bai Shou’s lips against her earlobes made Qin Juan’s core quake with a debauched craving.

She couldn’t speak.

“And you still won’t hold .” Bai Shou sighed hotly, instantly binding Qin Juan with a magical spell that made her arms shoot out and grab onto the giant emperor. Her hands clutched his robes, desperately pressing herself against his chest as her forceful gasps fell on his chest.

“I’m sorry for leaving you for so long!” Qin Juan snapped, pouring all her emotions. Her voice cracked with desire and fear alike. “I couldn’t say anything about Senior Sister Feng Jin Huang. How could I stay loyal to you or anyone if broke my friend’s trust?”

Qin Juan sniffed loudly, clenching his robes tighter.

“Why did you marry?!” She accused. “I’d been gone for only a few months. In here… in this blessed land, the wait was longer for !”

“I’m such a fickle person…” Bai Shou admitted, lovingly stroking Qin Juan’s hair. “Despite being married, I couldn’t help but act like this the second we t.”

He felt her tears stain his chest. His steady heartbeat proved to be slight comfort to the emotionally wrecked disciple.

“N-No…” Qin Juan shook her head, leaning into Bai Shou’s touch. “I’m the fickle one. I shouldn’t have let myself get swept away by you when I had other responsibilities. I also chose to prioritize my cultivation.”

“I’m glad you did that.”

Bai Shou chuckled before humming in a playful manner.

“So… I swept you, huh.”

She swatted his chest.

“Sigh. Such is fate. Without enough status or strength, my beauty beca my curse. The thought of even more powerful disciples and elders wanting to divide … sigh…”

Bai Shou sighed endlessly, lanting his charm as Qin Juan looked up flatly, eyes red with tears.

“I suppose…” He continued, deliberately adding fuel to the fire consuming Qin Juan’s heart. “I must accept my fate. Why else would we be reunited again.”

“Senior Sister… Senior Brother…” Qin Juan whispered, regaining her bearings slightly. “You’re an unfaithful…”

As she searched for the right word, Bai Shou leaned down. Qin Juan’s eyes widened before she closed them, further standing on her toes and allowing her arms to gently loop around his neck. She gasped, accidentally clearing path for Bai Shou’s tongue when she felt his hands on her thin waist.

Separating after a passionate mont, her lips still feeling light yet hot, she heard Bai Shou speak.

“Unfaithful? How dare you?”

“Hyah!” Qin Juan gasped loudly as Bai Shou playfully swatted her butt, not enough force to be called a spank but forceful enough to lift it slightly.

“I might be the most whorish disciple you’ll ever et, Junior Sister Qin. However, I’m loyal.”

Bai Shou gently held Qin Juan’s hand again, her transformation shedding to reveal the sa old woman.

“You just make the best use of .” She encouraged Qin Juan, adding with a giggle. “I’m so pitiful that my fate is to be divided by such outstanding won. Sigh. A consort to the many I shall remain.”

As the mist faded, Qin Juan regained her composure and walked besides Bai Shou.

The earlier mont almost felt like a dream. However, the way their hands interlinked had changed and beco more intimate.

“Senior Sister… you just want to be used.” She snorted.

“And drained!” Bai Shou grinned.

“Hmph! I despise such a fate!” Qin Juan argued. However, she quickly held Bai Shou’s hand tighter, interlocking their fingers, afraid that the unruly slut might focus more on her words than her considerably more honest body.

“Heaven is fair, Juan’er. You should never curse fate. Hmm. Instead, you need to vent all your frustrations on . I can take it. How can an outer disciple like ever oppose an elite like you?”

Qin Juan vibrated with slight frustration. She clearly opposed Bai Shou to the point of leaning her head on the latter’s shoulder. That was an act of defiance against fate itself!

“I’ll discuss about your nature with Elder Shu.” Qin Juan threatened with a lovable pout. “We will surely work out a way to discipline a disciple like you.”

‘Well, don’t threaten with a good ti.’ Bai Shou thought with a smirk.

A blessed land, as the na entailed, was a land of blessing. Aside from a unique space isolated from the main continent, a blessed land also attracted a tributary of the river of ti, allowing ti to flow and life to exist. Almost all blessed lands displayed so ti dilation unless a specific thod was used to forcefully synchronize the flow of the river of ti with the outside world.

Still, each blessed land had slight distinctions. It was a reflection of a gu immortal’s journey and their path—their true foundation. Even at the sa rank and of the sa path, two blessed lands would possess slight distinguishable features because of the differences in the gu immortals and their experiences.

Qin Juan explained all of this without holding back or making assumptions. Bai Shou knew all of this, and more. However, she didn’t interrupt Qin Juan and made effort to let the forr know she was enjoying the lecture with simpler but, nonetheless, intimate gestures.

“Hu Immortal Blessed Land’s forr owner, Fairy Bai Hu, was an enslavent path gu immortal who specialized in controlling fox groups. This blessed land is one of the best places to raise fox groups. Not only do the foxes feel more welcod, but they breed and grow quicker, too. Similarly, this blessed land also has a better chance of producing enslavent path gu worms related to controlling fox groups.”

Bai Shou nodded repeatedly.

“So?” She finally questioned. “How can I repay Sister Huang’er?”

Qin Juan montarily pursed her lips. More aware of the Bai Shou’s nature and how playful she was, Qin Juan was quite worried about Feng Jin Huang’s association with the seductress… adulterer? Womanizer?

She still couldn’t remove the ntal image of an equally sultry Bai Shou leaning against an inviting giant emperor, both ogling Qin Juan with intentions that would sha even the purest of souls.

“Juan’er?”

Qin Juan felt Bai Shou gently squeeze her hand, snapping out of the bed of flowers she weaved to lie upon while being sandwiched by many more iterations of her Senior Sister Bai.

“Y-Yes!” She exclaid before clearing her throat. “Right… the task. Well, I must say I’m disappointed, Senior Sister Bai.”

“How so?” Bai Shou smiled.

“Senior Sister Feng isn’t so petty. No matter what she might say, her actions always speak louder than words. I was told how you were in grave need for the gu worms inside Dang Hun Mountain. However, Senior Sister Feng isn’t the kind to exploit soone due to their needs.”

Bai Shou roller her eyes internally. She t Feng Jin Huang and that woman was exactly the kind of person to exploit desperate parties. Clearly, Qin Juan didn’t feel that way due to how deep her connection and loyalty with Feng Jin Huang ran. It also placed things in perspective about how quickly Bai Shou managed to worm into Qin Juan’s heart.

“Instead of thinking it as a repaynt, I would look this job as an opportunity.” Qin Juan adopted a somber tone. She looked at Bai Shou deeply, shedding her frantic aura and convincing with a asured tone. “Senior Sister Feng helped enter Dang Hun Mountain. I could be considered one of the first disciples to experience its benefits. That place is amazing, Senior Sister Bai. Where other disciples are only allowed to enter it for limited ti and unable to locate what they desire at once, I had the land spirit’s assistance.”

“What Senior Sister Feng has to offer is unlike the missions issued by the new sect leader. With this task, you will also get the sa opportunity to raise your soul foundation!”

Bai Shou nodded calmly.

“I understand, Juan’er. I’ll be more careful and respectful towards Sister Feng.”

Qin Juan couldn’t help but blush slightly after having her intentions exposed so effortlessly. She’d already realized Bai Shou and Feng Jin Huang weren’t as close as the forr’s claim. Bai Shou addressing Feng Jin Huang so intimately was a thod to provoke the latter. The last thing she wanted to witness was a conflict between the two!

“That’s for the best.” She nodded and continued, pointing at the nearby cluster of deep-grey rock cluster.

“This blessed land has several opportunities. While Senior Sister Feng is also limited because she’s dependent on the sect like the rest of us, she wants to establish more avenues of profits and business. Actually, the way of cultivation for gu immortals slightly differs from us, mortals, but it’s also the sa when viewed from a broader perspective. Even I was surprised!”

Qin Juan shook her head.

“Sorry, Senior Sister Bai. I got ahead of myself.”

Regathering her thoughts, she looked at the strange rock formation.

“They are the remnants of a rockn tribe,” she said.

Bai Shou instantly focused on the rock formation again, this ti with more scrutiny. Despite Imaginative Strength’s mories, it was her first ti encountering this variant human species.

Back in San Cha, she already knew about hairy n and eggn. Similarly, rockn were not pure humans and were first ntioned in .

“What happened to them?” Bai Shou asked once she realized all these rockn were unconscious and facing the ground, leaving their uneven backs to create this enigmatic rock formation.

Qin Juan revealed coldly.

“Fairy Bai Hu once brought in a few tribes of rockn to unearth rare minerals underground. With Dang Hun Mountain, she could raise these rockn even if the environnt favored fox groups more.”

She didn’t feel a tinge of pity when indicating the rockn tribe’s status was the sa as the beastly fox groups even when rockn were more spiritual. They were still slaves.

“Once Senior Sister Feng began planning the blessed land’s developnt, these rockn tribes were one of the assets she was allowed to handle and profit from. However, these slaves were too impudent and even tried attacking Senior Sister. Infuriated, she slaughtered most of them and left a few remnants alive to find ways of controlling them.”

Bai Shou nodded, similarly jaded by the concept of slavery.

“What should I do with these remaining rockn?” Bai Shou questioned in a straightforward fashion.

Qin Juan sighed.

“Senior Sister Feng wants you to convert them and accept their new leadership. Once that happens, she will open Dang Hun Mountain for these rockn and let them reproduce.”

“And she will sell the excessive rockn.”

Bai Shou nodded, understanding the gist of it.

“With your soul foundation, why didn’t you already use Slavery Gu Worms on them?” Bai Shou frowned after a mont. “Rockn are variant humans and don’t awaken apertures at the sa scale as humans. Many of these variant humans only have the gu worms they attract in their lifeti and aren’t even a gu master. Enslaving their soul should be easy.”

“Even if we enslave a few, the offsprings of the enslaved rockn will grow stubborn and defiant. Only soft tactics work on them, but Senior Sister Feng believes there must be a better way.”

Bai Shou’s frown deepened.

Admittedly, she had little to no experience with slaves or how to raise them aside from what she rembered about Imaginative Strength. Imaginative Strength Immortal purchased several slaves, but they were materials and sotis subject of consumption and assessnt using the Rank 5 Particle Viewing Gu.

“Even if I make this group subservient, the next one will grow stubborn and unruly,” muttered Bai Shou, deep in her thoughts. “Why doesn’t Sister Feng ask her parents for support? They must have a way to solve this issue, no?”

Qin Juan shook her head.

“Senior Sister Feng said even her parents and grandmother cannot find a seller offering a surefire way to raise rockn slaves. These slaves will be very profitable only when paired with Dang Hun Mountain.”

Bai Shou clicked her tongue in a consistent rhythm.

“So,” she finally spoke. “What Feng Jin Huang wants from is to establish an entirely new business practice until her parents or grandmother discover a seller with a good plan to raise rockn tribes, huh.”

“I can’t do it.”

Bai Shou shook her head. She turned and looked at the surprised Qin Juan.

“What you’re asking is a lot for just one trip to Dang Hun Mountain. If I must spend hours of my day away from my current priorities to establish a new thod of business, I also require a stake in it.”

Qin Juan grew quiet before mustering with a wry smile.

“I don’t know how to respond to that, Senior Sister Bai. It’s not my station to negotiate the terms.”

“That’s alright.”

Bai Shou grinned, closing the gap between them and holding her hands.

“We can have so fun until Sister Feng calls for us.”

She wagged her brows with wolfish intent.

The next second a letter gu worm flew over, snapping the duo as Bai Shou caught and activated it.

“What does it say?” Qin Juan asked after clearing her throat and sneaking glances.

“Hmm. Your Senior Sister Feng has given us her blessings.” Bai Shou lied and handed Qin Juan the gu worm, whose eyes briefly widened. She hurriedly activated the gu worm before glaring at Bai Shou.

“You’re shaless, Senior Sister Bai!”

“I know.”

Bai Shou snickered. The letter contained clear non-negotiable terms, including a stake for Bai Shou if she could set this business before Feng Jin Huang’s parents find a thod of their own.

“Of course, a letter gu isn’t enough,” Bai Shou stated calmly. “We should set a poison vow.”

After all, there were a few more conditions in the proposition, including the constraint of the successful business creation being the requirent to enter Dang Hun Mountain occasionally.

Since this matter was related to Bai Shou’s soul foundation, she took it very seriously and wanted to cross all the t’s and dot all the I’s.

As if agreeing with Bai Shou’s sentint, the duo vanished from the spot and t with Feng Jin Huang to finalize the pact.

Southern Border, Shang Clan City.

Used to the city’s hustle and bustle, a dark-robed man traveled the paved paths under slight scrutiny. He’d been ‘relieving’ others of their guilts, earning enough to survive. However, a strange figure approached the idle traveler.

“You, there! Co with .”

As a mortal, the hooded man could not assess the other party’s rank. However, their status was clear due to the clan’s attire they adorned and the token on his belt.

“Greetings, Lord Gu Master.”

The hooded figure cupped his fist and bent his waist, speaking with slight rasp as if he hadn’t received water for days.

“Hmm.” The male gu master nodded. “We heard about you, Right and Wrong Taoist.”

“I don’t dare claim such a title, Lord Gu Master.” The man hurriedly explained himself, only for the Shang Clan’s mber to chuckle lightly and raise his hand.

“Don’t fret, Little Brother. I’m not here to cause any trouble. What other civilians call you is their business. How could you control the masses and make them dance on your whims? You are not a gu master and will never have that power.”

“But I paid attention to you because of your talent.”

“Talent?” Asked Right and Wrong Taoist.

“Yes. You spend your ti picking on weak and desperate individuals wishing for a release from their guilt. A glib tongue, for sure. However, unlike other street perforrs, you can understand your target’s pain and manipulate it. Are you not?”

The hooded figure grew silent.

“Again, I’m not here to accuse you of anything. You still work honestly. Your patrons pay by feeding you out of sincerity and you do not steal. Still… I can’t help but wonder if you want more.”

“More?” Croaked the miserable figure underneath the hood.

“Hmm.” The gu master nodded. He was rely a rank 1 gu master but felt satisfied with the power he held over civilians. “Join our organization. Not only will you earn more, but you could make the best use of your talent by helping us understand our targets and forming ways to interrogate them. If you do well… heh… you might get opportunities one could only dream of.”

The gu master insisted with a persuasive tone.

“Join the Feng Yu Manor. It’s headed by Lord Wei Yang, one of the great generals under Lord Clan Leader.”

The hooded figure instantly fell to his knees, kowtowing. His hood slipped aside, revealing a bald head.

“This Kau Long greets my superior!” Kau Long spoke firmly. “My sincerest gratitude for offering such an opportunity!”
