Lo Jik can feel Su Shou coldly sneer behind her veil. Actually, she has an enticing body. Her bust is as large as Bai Lin's. However, her body is slim, like Xin Ci and Bai Ning Bing.
“You don’t know? Don’t you own a mirror? I would never let the beautiful Xin Ci linger around ugly filths.” Su Shou’s sincere reply surprises Lo Jik. He can’t be that bad-looking. Even his hair has slightly grown again.
“Senior should have told that,” Lo Jik smiles. “I don’t intend to have any relationship with Shang Xin Ci or any of Clan Leader’s daughters.”
That’s a lie. Lo Jik would smash Chi Wen for a couple of Bronze Rewards. However, he never got the chance to interact with her.
Su Shou stares at Lo Jik before breaking into hysterical giggles. “Truly good! First, you would lure with heartfelt words and then ruin my trust! How ugly! How defiling! You two are cut of the sa cloth!”
‘Two of us? Do I recall her of soone? Shang Yan Fei? I didn’t know their relationship was THIS bad. So, why is she in the Shang Clan?’
But Lo Jik doesn’t reveal his thoughts. Instead, he lets so temper slip by and snorts coldly.
“Lure you? Ruin you? You think too much of yourself, Senior Su. Why do I need lies? I won’t form a relationship with Xin Ci or others because Politics doesn’t attract ! I will roam the Southern Border with my Blood Torrent Python, Thousand Li Earthwolf, and Essence Cloud Elephant King! Unbothered! Unchained!”
Su Shou stops laughing before snorting.
“You don’t lie, Unchained Vagabond?”
“I don’t,” Lo Jik sneers.
“So, you did not sleep with Clan Leader Bai Lin while claiming to be Unchained Vagabond?”
“I did,” Lo Jik laughs.
“So you admit to lying!”
“No,” Lo Jik narrows his eyes.
“I can kill you right here, boy!” Su Shou screams. “Do you take for a retarded Gu Master?”
“Can you lie to soone when you sleep with them?” Lo Jik retorts softly. “Actions speak louder than words, Senior Su. If you know I slept with Clan Leader Bai Lin, you also know I did not take advantage of her.”
Su Shou turns silent. Lo Jik is right. He left Bai Lin the location of the Spirit Spring, sothing her Clan needed for its survival!

Sure, they might have spies even in the Bai Clan and might have thoughts to make it a subordinate clan in the ff, but, well, it’s my fault for being less than a decent author. “My lips don’t need to match my actions. And my actions don’t need to prove anything to you! I will roam the Southern Border and search for my Immortal Opportunity. Hah! That’s what everyone is searching for, right?”
“Immortality!”
“I don’t need lies. The Gu I like—I take. The woman I desire—I take! Who cares about the process? Who cares about words? Do you care about treating injuries or the process you take to treat them, Doctor Su?”
Su Shou’s shoulders suddenly tremble.
“Have you never given false hopes?”
The recollections of her lost patients appear in her mind.
“I can lie to the world and myself,” Lo Jik stares at the Dark-Golden Mammoth. “But my foolish body fucks it all up. If I’m to die, I shall die the richest. I shall die with a fight.” Lo Jik feels a strange emotion bursting from within as sincerity seeps through the heaps of lies.
“My hope is not so fickle that lies, doubts, and other thousand tribulations more can suppress it.”
Su Shou stares at the youth with glassy eyes.
Too similar…
And so different.
If it were ‘him’...
If it were that blood-haired devil, he would continue speaking the words she wants to hear. Yet, the youth dressed in loose robes that left little to her imagination speaks his mind. He is like a wild boar.
But he isn’t a boor, is he?
‘He is just as smart and vile as that Blood Bastard! But where that man relents, this youth charges ahead. He wanted the Steed Gu—he took it. He liked Bai Lin—he took her. But he is also ticulous.’
Su Shou sees the essence of the demon in Lo Jik. It was never about murdering others or committing cris.
To be a demon in their world is to be an individual.
A man who stands against the system.
A man who walks his beat.
A man who carves his path.
‘One was responsible and took his duties. But he may care even less than this man.’
Su Shou is an intelligent woman. She realizes her past follies once the cover of past hatred disappears from her eyes.
‘I acted too impatiently. This youth has the Little Giant and All-Out Effort Gu. I only allowed him to get an opportunity. He was also clever enough to take it. But cleverness isn’t enough. He is bold enough to snatch such opportunities.’
Lo Jik doesn’t speak more as he contemplates and digests his own words. It’s a reaffirming belief.
The doubts and shadows of other parties will never stop him. He struggled even at the edge of death. The hope in his heart shone brightly till the last breath.
Lo Jik turns to leave once the refinent is completed after 20 minutes. However, Su Shou suddenly speaks.
“You forced my hand through Shang Yan Fei. There won’t be a next ti. I have my eyes on you.”
Lo Jik turns his head to look at her with a smirk so crooked even Su Shou is taken aback.
“Good!” He grins. “I don’t want your eyes on anyone else either, Senior Su.”
He leaves her domain with calm steps. An intense urge to kill the boy rises in Su Shou’s coly bosom. However, her eyes glitter.
‘It it’s him… he can do it, right?’
