He exhaled a breath, his mind racing rapidly, feeling that since he was able to find a staff made of Primordial Magnetic Crystal Stone here, perhaps he could find even more valuable treasures beneath the Spring Eye.
He first stored the staff in the storage ring, then reached into the storage ring to pull out a long rope.
He tied one end of the long rope around his body, and the other end around a nearby large, solid boulder.
After ensuring that the boulder he tied was truly solid, he proceeded downwards along the Spring Eye, following the rope.

The deeper Duan Gujin subrged below the Spring Eye, the stronger the Yin Cold Aura he sensed, and he also felt an increasing presence of Evil Qi from below.
"Such strong Evil Qi!"
Duan Gujin's complexion changed drastically, he halted, his eyes widened, conducting a Divine Sense Inspection of the area below.
However, below there was a strong blockade against Divine Sense Viewing Energy, obstructing his Divine Sense Inspection.
He took a deep breath and continued to descend.
"It seems that there really might be treasure below!"
His eyes glead sharply, aware that a place would not give off such strong Evil Qi without reason.

It could either be due to the environnt of the place, or that there is a Treasure there.
And as to which situation it was, he could only find out by checking personally.

Realizing this, Duan Gujin quickly prepared his Divine Soul for defense.
He knew that if resentful soul really existed in a place, it ant that there likely were resentful spirits there.
"If there truly are resentful spirits below, that would be troubleso!"
A gleam flickered in Duan Gujin's eyes, and he stopped descending.
He pulled out the Netherworld Treasure Pearl from his storage ring, his Divine Sense entered the pearl, and through it, he projected his Divine Thought.
This ti, after rging his mind with the Netherworld Treasure Pearl, he could inspect further distances.
Through the Netherworld Treasure Pearl, Duan Gujin examined the situation below even more carefully.
The more carefully he looked, the more fearful he beca inside.
After a mont, Duan Gujin saw that at the bottom of the Spring Eye lay a skeleton.
The skeleton was small in size, resembling an ancient human skeleton.
Duan Gujin judged that the skeleton should have been a child of around seven or eight years old when alive.
At this mont, the skeleton shimred like jade all over, emitting an extrely Yin Cold Aura.
Duan Gujin frowned and observed for a while, then suddenly felt a strange sensation.
"Could it be that the Yin Cold Aura under this Spring Eye is emanating from that skeleton?"
While he was inspecting, suddenly, he felt as if the empty eye sockets of the skeleton seed to ooze red blood.

Now, the thought occurring in his mind was whether he should continue descending to check.
After thinking for a while, he felt that he should retrieve the skeleton from below.
"To know the truth, bring it up!"
Duan Gujin slowly descended, and when he was less than ten ters from the skeleton, he pulled out several ordinary longswords from his storage ring.
He stuck those longswords into the stone wall, forming an Array.
If a situation were to arise below later, these longswords he had set up would be his lifesaving Skill.
"This place is too eerie!"
Despite there being only a skeleton beneath the spring eye, Duan Gujin knew the origin of that skeleton was definitely not simple.

"This place is really unique!"
Duan Gujin thought so in his heart, suddenly feeling a sense of danger.
In the next mont, he heard a creaking noise near his ears, quickly guessing it was likely caused by the skeleton.
He quickly grabbed the rope, relying on the strength of the rope, and climbed rapidly upwards.
As he moved away from the bottom of the spring, he saw the skeleton pounce towards the spot where he just stood. Its ghostly white arms plunged directly into the stone wall.
Seeing the skeleton revive, Duan Gujin's face turned pale.
He took a deep breath, his body rushing upwards rapidly.
However, when he was more than ten ters away from the bottom of the spring, he saw that the skeleton below did not follow him up.
He checked and found a tal chain holding the skeleton's right foot in place.

The skeleton pulled the chain, making a clanging sound, yet it was restrained by the chain and could not surge upward to confront Duan Gujin.
Seeing the abnormality of the skeleton, Duan Gujin didn't continue climbing upwards but instead, used the Netherworld Treasure Pearl to carefully examine the skeleton's secret.
"What kind of skeleton is that? Why can it still move?"
After a while, Duan Gujin realized that the skeleton was controlled by a resentful soul.
"Roar, roar, roar!"
Monts later, the skeleton emitted growls like a wild beast.
Having seen the true face of the skeleton, Duan Gujin was no longer afraid.

After pondering for a while, he understood why the resentful soul could control the skeleton.

He heard the cries of the resentful soul below and closed his Divine Sense to shut out the sound.
When the kerosene burned out, he peeped out his head again and using the Netherworld Treasure Pearl, he carefully examined the situation below.
This ti, he saw the skeleton curled up in a corner of the spring's bottom. Its bones were no longer snow-white but had turned gray.
Its empty eye sockets stared fixedly at Duan Gujin, its mouth emitting bursts of roars.
It noticed Duan Gujin looking at it, and its eyes turned blood red.
"Who are you?"
Duan Gujin ntally stirred and spoke, hoping to communicate with the skeleton.
However, the white skeleton responded with a furious roar.
Duan Gujin slightly frowned and changed his strategy by sending Divine Thought to the skeleton below.
If the skeleton still had Divine Wisdom, it would respond to his Divine Thought.
However, Duan Gujin was disappointed not to receive any response from the white skeleton.
"It seems this white skeleton probably has no Divine Wisdom!" He exhaled deeply, his mind racing swiftly.
