Seeing Duan Gujin thwart their plan, the two assassins exchanged glances and then nodded to each other slightly; they knew that their next move was to eliminate Duan Gujin.
The two assassins charged toward the location of Duan Gujin together, but before they could get close, they fell to the ground.
Seeing the two assassins fall, Duan Gujin exhaled a turbid breath and inwardly cheered his good luck.
He had previously analyzed the environnt all around him and ca to a conclusion: if he could seize the position he was currently in, then he could use poison to eliminate the two assassins.
If he were to confront the two assassins head-on, although he wouldn't necessarily be defeated right away, the difficulty of overcoming them quickly would be imnse.
Moreover, even if he ultimately defeated the two assassins, there were still dozens of bandits surrounding them with no small amount of strength; the chance of breaking through their encirclent would beco extrely slim.
The best and simplest tactic he could think of at the mont was to use poison.
After surveying his surroundings, he found that his current position was right at the upwind.
If he wanted to poison those enemies attacking him, the best thod would be to release Poison Powder upwind.
As long as those trying to get close to him inhaled the Poison Powder, they would be poisoned.
Once poisoned, their Combat Power would be hampered in the short term.
Although the period where they couldn't utilize their full Combat Power was brief, for Duan Gujin, this short ti was sufficient for him to reverse the situation.
Thus, he easily downed the two assassins with poison.
With a thought in his mind, he hurriedly shot Hidden Weapons at the bodies of the two assassins.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Duan Gujinzhao fired several Hidden Weapons at each assassin to ensure they struck their bodies.
"They should be dead for certain!"
With his Divine Sense extended outward, he confird his speculation.
After eliminating the two assassins, Duan Gujin turned his attention to the dozens of bandits who had set up an ambush in this dead-end from early on.
"Good! These bandits aren't very powerful!"
Duan Gujin gauged the strength of the assassins with his Divine Sense sweep.
Many piercing screams of agony filled the scene, so from soldiers and others from students of the Star Moon Academy.
In terms of strength, so of the students from Star Moon Academy were even much stronger than the bandits ambushed here, but these students had never faced such a situation before; suddenly encountering it now, they were unable to react in ti, and in an instant, they were routed.
Everyone present was tensely watching the enemies that appeared in front of them, with no one focused on Duan Gujin and the two assassins.
Even if soone noticed the two assassins falling, they would only think that the assassins were killed by the bandits lying in ambush and would not suspect that Duan Gujin was the perpetrator.
"Those bandits have the high ground, making them hard to eliminate!"
Duan Gujin glanced around at the surrounding environnt and realized that they were almost in a dead-end.
Although they could retreat, if they truly did so, they would have to back away down a narrow mountain path.
Then, if the bandits followed, the vast majority among them would be shot down from the high ground by the bandits, ultimately eting their fate.
"Attack!"
Suddenly, so assassins charged down from above.
With a thought, Duan Gu quickly took out Hidden Weapons from his storage ring and shot them toward those bandits.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
His shots were incredibly forceful, the Hidden Weapons he fired almost unerringly striking the bandits.
One bandit's body, after being hit by a Hidden Weapon shot by Duan Gujin, had its chest pierced through, resulting in a massive gaping wound.
The bandit's eyes bulged, his face bearing an expression of unwillingness to die; he struggled briefly before inevitably collapsing to the ground, motionless.
Many students and soldiers, upon seeing Duan Gujin shoot and kill a bandit, were ecstatic.
However, other bandits were rapidly charging at the students and soldiers.
The technique Duan Gujin had just used was a Secret Skill he had learned from a secret manual dedicated to Hidden Weapons.
Although this Secret Skill was powerful, it consud a trendous amount of Primordial Power.
Duan Gujin estimated that he could only use this technique to kill about a dozen bandits; it was impossible for him to eliminate the remaining forty or so bandits.
But there were still many students and soldiers on his side; if he truly could kill over ten bandits, it would greatly boost their morale.
"Everyone, hold fast! If you don't want to die here, we must unite and cooperate! No one is to retreat, and anyone who does will face severe punishnt! Whoever retreats will be executed!"
Duan Gujin shouted loudly, his main concern being any students or soldiers retreating.
If even one or two students or soldiers retreated, it would significantly damage their morale.
"Right! Whoever retreats, I'll kill them!"
A soldier shouted loudly upon hearing Duan Gujin's words.
"Right! Right! Right! Kill anyone who retreats!"
Others echoed in succession, though each of them harbored thoughts of fleeing while the others resisted the bandits, they knew once one or two of them fled, the rest would likely follow.
If others would follow suit, then who would stand against the bandits charging at them, and ultimately all of them would end up dead.
Seeing that others did not retreat despite the perilous situation, Duan Gujin felt slightly relieved; with a stir of his Divine Sense, he continued to fire Hidden Weapons at the approaching bandits.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Practically with each Hidden Weapon he fired, a bandit fell.
Witnessing Duan Gujin showcase his impressive combat skills, all the students and soldiers at the scene exclaid in awe.
"Great! This is wonderful!"
A bandit, seeing his comrades rcilessly shot down by Duan Gujin one after another, was gnashing his teeth in hatred toward Duan Gujin.
With a flicker of his body, that bandit turned into a blurred shadow and stealthily approached Duan Gujin's position.
The other bandits, seeing their leader closing in on Duan Gujin, knew that charging openly would an certain death, but they still rushed toward Duan Gujin's position.
They intended to sacrifice themselves to buy ti for their boss who was stealthily approaching Duan Gujin.
"Whoosh!"
Duan Gujin took careful aim at one bandit's head and fiercely pierced it with a Hidden Weapon.
By this ti, he was utterly exhausted; glancing at the students and soldiers, he decided to take a brief rest.
From his storage ring, he hastily retrieved so Elixir Pills and swallowed them all in one go, circulating his Primordial Power to speed up the absorption of the pills' dicinal effects.
After a while, he sensed a series of hurried footsteps approaching his vicinity.
