Serena’s Point of View
“Go away! We’d rather die than open this door!” Hayley scread at the door. I could hear n chuckling on the other side as their leader spoke. “Listen… I know you think there is a way out of this for you, but there isn’t. Well, unless you can fight through another hundred n blocking the escape route. So, just give yourselves up and we’ll go easy on you. You make it hard for us, we’ll make it extra hard for you.”
I heard so of the n on the other side jeering at what he just said. The innuendo was obvious, but that’s why we weren’t going to make it easy for them. We knew what was going to happen once they broke that door down. Everything not nailed down was piled up in front of the door, but that might only buy us another thirty minutes or so once they got the door down.
He theatrically sighed as he spoke again. “Alright. It looks like the hard way it is. Bring in the battering ram…” Soone else spoke now. “Umm, Jeff is still bringing it up; it does weigh a lot, and he has to haul it up more than a dozen flights of stairs.” This ti, the boss sighed for real as he spoke. “Fine, you girls get a few more minutes to think about my offer. The first girl who turns on the others, we’ll set free.”
A clear and obvious lie, but people are stupid. The little hope they gave with that promise was enough to make many of the girls start to look around shiftily at one another. The world was changing, and we saved many of these won from horrible fates, but when you’re terrified, any deal sounds good, even a deal with the devil.
Hayley whispered to . She was shaking like a leaf, terrified of this. My heart broke at the sight of her. She had always been a sheltered girl; only after we started dating did she co out of her shell a tiny amount. She was on the verge of snapping, and I didn’t know which way she would go. I heard a thickly accented man call out from further back.
“He’s here, boss.” They got to work talking as I heard them get closer and closer to the door, the leader still far enough away that if I blew the door with my powers, he’d co out mostly unscathed. “Alright, looks like we’re about to start. Now would be the ti to turn on the other girls-.” He was cut off by one of his n.
“Boss, soone!” He was cut off by the sound of gunshots. “Soone is attacking us from below.” They waited for more sounds to co, but after another few seconds, none did. The boss chuckled before saying. “Well, it looks like the problem sorted itself-.” Once again, cut off by the sound of music playing.
One of the henchn on the other side asked incredulously. “Is that stuck in the middle with you?”
…
“Clowns to the left of . Jokers to the right, here I am. Stuck in the middle with you.” I impaled another one of the ard n in the neck with a bone spike. He reached up to try and stop the bleeding, but I moved the spike back and forth before pulling it out. “HAhahahah, I’m a fucking psychopath. Why is killing to a soundtrack so god damn fun!”
I had already killed a dozen n on the previous floor, probably a dozen more on the next nine floors as well, easily adding up to over a hundred. It took longer to walk through the halls after killing everyone than it did to actually kill them.
I made it about six floors up before the sound stopped. “Oh, I’ve never had this happen before. Wait a minute while I get another song going.” It cut to the hamster dance song next, as I wondered how that got on here. Still talking loud enough for the n above to hear, I put on Freebird before I rembered I already did that song.
“Ahh, this is so embarrassing. I really should have, like, a playlist for killing people from now on. I’m still learning as I go, though, so be patient with . Do either of you have any suggestions?” Maria and Sophie caught up with . Sophie had her hands on her knees as she breathed heavily from sprinting here and then climbing up the steps, while Maria was just covered in a beautiful layer of sweat.
Skipping through, I finally find one that might fit the situation as Spirit in the Sky begins to play. “Alright, we don’t want that happening again, so I’m going to speed up my murder from now on, rapid fire death, go!” I gave up on not being shot as I sprinted up the stairs. Soone looked down from above, so I pulled out a big sword and poked him in the face with it, killing him instantly.
“When I die, and they lay to rest. Gonna go to the place that’s the best!” Being hit by a projectile was a scary way to die, but being cut in half by a sword was sothing on another level, especially when you factor in that they had just seen their friends in front of them die before they did. All the bullets being fired at did nothing but ping off my skin.
I was doing my best to keep the gore to a minimum; my girlfriends had to walk past them twice after all, but there was still plenty more than the strategically placed holes in the people on the floors before this one. n gave up, as instead of fighting, they ran, and the only direction to run was up. “Where are all of you going? Don’t you want to have so fun!?”
They wailed primal screams of soone who truly feared for their lives. I’d feel slightly bad if these n weren’t absolute scum. Sure, so of them might have just been along for the ride, but they should have chosen a better vehicle to hitch their wagon to. Their leader was pushing the n who ran back down the steps as he scread out in anger.
Our eyes t, and I could see he wanted to do one of those long-winded villain speeches. Instead, I put a bone spike in his head, making it look like a unicorn fucked him up as he fell onto his n. I cleared the rest of the goons out. I was a god for now; unless sothing truly tragic happened, like a nuke, I would survive almost everything.
So strong it was like killing ants at this point, there wasn’t even much thrill in it, that’s why I did so to music to make my own fun. I knocked on the door. “Housekeeping. You need your laundry washed?” No noise from inside. “Alright, we’ll just wait for Sophia to get up here to talk to you then.” I waited for my two girlfriends, who ca with , to climb up the rest of the stairs as the music ca to an end and the FF7 soundtrack began to play. Crazy motorcycle ca on, and I couldn’t help but think of how good a song that would have been to kill to.
The entire soundtrack would be pretty decent for background music next ti, but I squash that idea. What if I’m cutting a zombie in half right as the music switches over to the gold saucer the or Costa del Sol, both good music, just not really great for killing to. It would take out of the situation more than the hamster dance did.
One of the won on the other side questioned. “Is that the final fantasy soundtrack you’re playing, while you murder people? What would you do if the chocobo the starts playing?” I couldn’t help but smile. “Speed up obviously.”
