Getting to Lu Zhen’s office, he invited Leng Pan to sit on the couch and took the food box from her.
He then went into the small kitchen in the office and took two bowls and pairs of chopsticks.
Once everything was arranged on the coffee table, he invited Leng Pan to the bathroom to wash her hands then they sat back on the couch to eat.
As soon as the food container was opened, Lu Zhen knew where the food had co from.
"You went to Uncle Li’s restaurant? How did you know about it?" He asked as he placed so braised pork in Leng Pan’s bowl of rice.
"I have my ways, but I had to use your na to get him to pack the al for ." Leng Pan replied as she ate the food Lu Zhen placed in her bowl.
Seeing her eating the food he picked without any complaints, Lu Zhen was overjoyed. This ant that she was not repulsed by him and had started to accept him.
He actually had an impulse to ask her to marry him at that mont, but he was afraid that would scare her away when she had just started to warm up to him.
The two ate in silence after that. The lunch took forty minutes before everything on the table was cleared.
Leng Pan didn’t know how to breach the real subject that had brought her there.
Eating lunch together was just an excuse as at the mont she had too many things to do. If she wanted to eat lunch with him she could wait a few days.
Lu Zhen could tell that Leng Pan wanted to say sothing but was conflicted, so he decided to help her.
"What do you need from ?"
Now that he had asked, Leng Pan didn’t feel burdened to talk.
"Can you get weapons? I know they are illegal but if you have a way to get different types of weapons, both cold and hot without getting into trouble then get so."
Lu Zhen looked at Leng Pan with assessing eyes. He didn’t understand why she behaved like she was about to go to war these past few days.
Reinforcing the apartnt, buying supplies, and now weapons. It was starting to make him worry.
"Panpan, are you in trouble? If you need my help just let know. Don’t do anything that might hurt you." He volunteered instead of answering her question.
In fact, Leng Pan knew from the book that Lu Zhen would indeed do anything for her.
Even if she killed soone, he would help her hide the body and erase all evidence, but she also knew that the concept of the apocalypse was not very believable.
So, even though she knew that telling Lu Zhen the truth was the right thing to do, she didn’t.
She didn’t want him to think she was a lunatic because then he won’t do the things she asked seriously.

If seduction could work then she would use it.
Lu Zhen froze when she touched him. This was the first ti she had taken the initiative to hold his hand and he was so happy that he could agree to die if she asked.
So without thinking, he agreed to get the weapons.
"I have soone I know who can get them. How soon do you need the weapons?"
"As soon as possible." Leng Pan really couldn’t believe that simply touching his hand would be so useful.
She actually wanted to tell him about the space, but was afraid such shocking news would do more harm than good.
She was not worried about him betraying her. That was not going to happen.
Then she thought of sothing else. She wanted to be with Lu Zhen above board and not as lovers living together to survive the apocalypse.
Only a few days remained before all official offices and governnt departnts stopped working.
When that happens, then even if they were together, they will always be an acceptable couple, not a legal one.
She was not the previous Leng Pan who was always restricted by what others would say, but she also didn’t want others criticizing Lu Zhen for having a lover or mistress without a na.
Anyone will think that they could compete with him because in the apocalypse, beauty was also a liability if soone was unattached.

So, she made another suggestion that left Lu Zhen confused and overjoyed.
"Lu Zhen, do you want to marry ?" It was a straightforward question. No unnecessary words were used but it hit Lu Zhen like a truck.
His heart actually stopped beating for a second and blood rushed to his ears.
Looking at the dumbstruck man in front of her, Leng Pan thought she was too hasty. Even if Lu Zhen loved her to death, he might not have thought of marriage yet.
So she decided to forget about it.
"Just forget I said anything. You don’t have to....."
Before she could finish her sentence Lu Zhen ca back to his senses and stood up abruptly.
"What did you say? Did you ask to marry you?" He asked in disbelief.
"If it’s difficult just forget I said anything..." She started to say again but was interrupted a second ti.
"Let’s go, do you have your ID with you? What about your house registration? Forget about it if you didn’t carry them. Let’s go, Ying Zao can get them for you."
"Go where?" It was Leng Pan’s turn to be confused.
Lu Zhen stopped in his tracks. He had been so excited that he forgot to confirm. Maybe Leng Pan was just cracking a joke and he took it seriously.
"To the Civil Affairs Bureau to get married." He said with a matter-of-fact expression.
