Leng Pan had no idea that soone was eying her space. It was a good thing that the jade bangle had disappeared and only a small mole was left as evidence of the space.

She didn’t disturb her mother-in-law and turned to look at her aunt. She was astonished to find her glowing from head-to-toe with a green light.
It was a gentle glow, just like the person herself. She had her eyes closed and looked like she was in deep ditation.
Thus, she just sat between the two older won without making a sound.
Uncle Li stood at the entrance of the living room watching this scene with a complicated expression. He had not expected that just by sitting close to Leng Pan, both his wife and sister would awaken superpowers as well.
His earlier suspicions were right, there was more to this girl than ets the eye.
She might be the trigger that ssage talked about. But if she was, then the current power their family possessed was not enough to protect her.
It looks like he needed to co out of retirent. It was ti to get back to work.
Thinking of this, he didn’t go to disturb the won in the living room and simply turned around and went back into the kitchen to cook.
Lu Zhen stood at the end of the corridor and observed his uncle who seed to be in deep thought and hadn’t detected his presence even after a long ti.
He watched how his expression kept changing while watching sothing, or soone in the living room.
His intuition told him that the subject of his scrutiny was Leng Pan. He had noticed his veiled interest in Leng Pan before.
It wasn’t the kind of interest that involves lust or romantic relationship, nor was it the predatory kind of interest. It was an interest that goes far beyond that and it was mixed with sothing else. Wariness, admiration, and reverence.
These were not emotions that an uncle should have for his niece-in-law, but Lu Zhen was certain that his uncle had them for Leng Pan. The question was, why?
Why would a grown man over fifty years old have such emotions towards his niece-in-law who had barely left her teenage years?
Then he rembered the look he had seen on his uncle when he cautioned them about talking about the effects on their superpowers when they got close to Leng Pan.
It seed like he knew sothing that everyone else didn’t, but won’t tell. Seeing that he didn’t have any malice towards Leng Pan, Lu Zhen decided to continue observing and ask what was going on the next ti he saw his uncle behave out of character.
He had realized that his uncle’s smiling and joking attitude was just a facade. It was a cover for sothing else.
He didn’t bother thinking anymore about it and went to the living room to join his wife.
As soon as he walked in and before he could call to her, Leng Pan turned around with her index finger on her lips shushing him.
Then she pointed to his mother and Aunt and only then did his eyes wander to the other two won in the room.
Leng Pan was still sitting between them. It looked like she either didn’t want to disturb them or she wanted them to be in contact with her a while longer to enhance their newly awakened superpowers.
His mother was sitting up straight like a statue without moving. She didn’t even look like she was blinking.
His aunt on the other aunt had her eyes closed and a green glow surrounded her.
Both of them had a superpower fluctuation around them indicating that they had awakened.
He had realized a while ago that superpower users emitted a certain energy that other awakeners can detect.
He had not expected that his mother and aunt would really awaken simply by being close to Leng Pan.
His wife was really a treasure.
Without disturbing anyone, Lu Zhen went to the single seat sofa on the side and sat down.
Since the two couldn’t talk to avoid disturbing the elders, they started making eyes at each other.
This was the first ti Lu Zhen had seen the mischievous side of his wife.
She was blinking at him and making animated expressions as if playing charades.
Apart from being amused, he really couldn’t understand her ability expressions, he just thought they were cute.
It was funny how now that she was just joking, he couldn’t understand her aning, but when it ca to serious matters, just one look and they both know what the other ans.
It’s really surprising.
After so ti, Li Yunjia opened her eyes. Aunt Li also almost opened her eyes at the sa ti as the green glow on her disappeared as well.
They both turned their heads to look at the beautiful girl seated between them. They were not stupid as not to understand that their awakening had sothing to do with her.
Now they understood what their brother/husband ant when he told them not to speak carelessly.
If people with ulterior motives discovered that just by sitting close to Leng Pan, ordinary people could awaken superpowers, she would be in grave danger.
So unscrupulous people might even capture her to use her or even experint on her to take whatever was giving her such an ability.
So, now they knew that they could never utter a word about how they gained their superpowers.
