Now reading: Chapter 104: Leng Pan’s Suspicions from Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse, a Sci-fi novel by FlamingHorse.

"Yes, his hacking ability seed to have spiked. As if he had received a cheat code or sothing similar. It’s as if the energy from the teorite had made him smarter, but only when it cos to computers.

Also, his hearing is now more focused and the range has widened. Before, the furthest he could listen in was about a kiloter, now he can listen to people over two kiloters away with so concentration." Lu Zhen replied to his wife.

He had also been shocked by his brother. He actually still didn’t understand how his brother’s superpower worked. It was just as mysterious as his uncle’s. He didn’t believe for one second that his uncle’s superpower was to make food more palatable.

There was definitely sothing more to it. He will let his uncle tell him when he is ready. They were family, and he didn’t want to pry into his family mber’s secrets.

"What about his vision? Did anything change?" Leng Pan asked with so interest.

These superpowers could be so diverse. She even thought that she might not have fully explored her water superpower completely.

She might be able to do more with it than just create blades, barriers, and mimicry. Especially with the new elental ability where she could sense water in the air and connect with it.

"Mmm...his vision had improved as well. It has both the heat vision ability he had before, where he could see silhouettes following their heat signatures, and x-ray vision." Lu Zhen explained.

He said so simply but Leng Pan nearly jumped when she heard his last statent.

"Say that again?" Her voice was pitched higher than usual, which Lu Zhen found funny.

Combined with her face that held so much shock it could bring a dying person back to life.

At this rate, Lu Zhen would find Leng Pan’s farting adorable. Nobody should share his standards when it cos to doting on his wife.

With a knowing smile and twinkle in his eyes, Lu Zhen repeated his statent, but this ti he clarified for his wife.

"The ability to see silhouettes through walls and at a distance, following their heat signatures, is more pronounced. However, he now has another vision ability. He can see people or things through walls like an X-ray machine.

But this ability is short-range. While his other vision ability could see up to a kiloter away, his X-ray vision ranges only about twenty ters."

Leng Pan thought that was already impressive enough. Having the ability to see so far away, even if it was just the heat-vision, could help them a great deal, let alone seeing clearly what was happening.

"That’s already cool. He can improve his abilities slowly. By the way, what is this hacking ability of his? There is barely any signal with most of the satellites falling. How is he even hacking into computers or systems? And what systems is he hacking into anyway?" This was sothing that could be a little confusing.

Indeed, in the modern world where everything is on the internet at one point or another, hacking into soone’s computer could get you all their information and probably information about those who had contacted him/her using the sa device.

But now that the satellites used to transmit internet signals were down, what was the use of being able to infiltrate other systems?

"I think there is more to this apocalypse than we thought. So people seem to have known about it, but they are different from you. They were not reborn or anything like that. They had prior information about what was going to happen beforehand.

Moreover, from so information Lu Tao gathered when he accidentally intercepted a radio signal and listened to a phone call, the teorite we found is one of the key parts of the apocalypse.

They are calling it the ’Catalyst Core’. Lu Tao didn’t dare to listen for long because he was afraid of being discovered, but I told him to monitor any movent from the people looking for this catalyst core and collect any information about them.

They seem to have technology that is beyond what we know and can still make phone calls without problems.

Now, we have to be even more careful with that teorite. It’s better if other people don’t find out about it. It could bring disaster to our family." Lu Zhen had a solemn expression when he said all this.

This was probably the first ti that Leng Pan had seen him looking so serious and nervous. She knew that he was afraid others would find out about her having the catalyst core and beco a target.

However, listening to him talk about other forces that might have known about the apocalypse or even had a hand in causing it, sothing that was not ntioned in the original novel, only solidified her suspicions.

She had been thinking that everything happening was different from what the book said. She also had this Dèjá vu feeling about that High-Tech mansion in the space bangle and it was obvious that this feeling had nothing to do with the original Leng Pan.

She was starting to suspect whether she and the Leng Pan in the book were the sa person or if this body belonged to that Leng Pan in the first place.

She should have been more suspicious when her soul, which should have transmigrated into the book, so easily integrated into the new body.

How could she be so comfortable in soone else’s skin? How could they have the sa face, the sa body proportions, the sa blood type, and even the sa taste in everything?

It was as if they were the sa person. Of course, except for the soul that had inhabited this body before. That foolish woman was definitely not her.

But the question was, if this body had been hers from the beginning, and then did her soul leave? When did the other soul take over and where did she co from or go after she left?

Also, how did she end up in the real world then? Was that world even real? Was this world really a book? If sothing happens here, could she go back to her other body in the other world?

She had too many questions and no one to ask. However, when she lifted her eyes and saw Lu Zhen standing there and looking at her with eyes that were about to overflow with tenderness, that thought of going back to the other body if sothing happened was banished.

She was never going anywhere without her prince charming. If the sky fell, she would hold it up so that it wouldn’t crash on her husband. She would protect him and everything he cares about if it’s the last thing she does.

There was no retreat or surrender. So, if anybody dared to covet the teorite and co looking for trouble, they would find it. She would make sure that they never coveted anything else of hers.

Lu Zhen could feel the aura around Leng Pan shifting. She beca like an unsheathed sword that was ready for battle. She was sharp and more determined. Almost as if she were a soldier who had received an important mission.

He didn’t know what had happened, but he didn’t care. As long as she was fine, he would support her and protect her with everything he had, even his life.
