In an apartnt in a different area of the city, Bai Yinyin slumped back on the sofa and sighed deeply. Since the apocalypse started, she had been living in fear.
Without the space bangle she had gotten from Leng Pan in her previous life, she didn’t have enough supplies to last a few weeks let alone a lifeti.
Since it was just her and her grandmother, they didn’t eat too much. Luckily for them, old people had the habit of hoarding things, especially food and water.

Unfortunately, they didn’t have any vegetables or at as they had been among the first people affected by the disaster. Their power line had suffered and cut power to their area.
They had been lighting candles for almost two weeks and they had finally run out. Apart from the dry food, they didn’t have anything else and Bai Yinyin, rembering the hot als she had even after years into the apocalypse in her previous life, wanted to go to Leng Pan’s house and give her a few kicks.
That woman was more stupid than a fish. How could she send the jade bangle to be appraised when the apocalypse was about to start? Bai Yinyin felt regretful about this.
If she had known, she would have told that woman about the space and the apocalypse. She could just tell her that they could prepare supplies together and put them in the bangle and she would keep it since she understood the situation better.
With that woman’s stupidity and trust in her, she would have definitely believed her and even helped her buy supplies.
But now, all that was just a dream. She wished she could find another space artifact randomly, but she was also aware that sothing like that wasn’t cabbages that could be found everywhere.
Now, she couldn’t even get to the warehouse where she had kept her supplies. Luckily for her, it was a little secluded and people would not think of going there to look for supplies.
But she still had to find a way to contact Leng Pan. She knew that Leng Pan had already awakened her water ability superpower.
If she could et her and use her knowledge of her past life to guide her on how to improve her superpower faster, she was sure that Leng Pan would dedicate herself to protecting her and providing supplies for her for the rest of her life.
That woman had a blind loyalty to their friendship. She also hoped that in this life, she could make Lu Zhen fall in love with her.
She regretted not buying that kind of drug to make him lusty and offer herself as an antidote. She didn’t believe that he would refuse to take responsibility after sleeping with her.

Even though it was the most disgusting thing to do, she had no choice. This was a disguise technique many ordinary people who couldn’t fight stronger zombies ca up with to survive.
They would find one zombie that was weak and kill it then put on protective clothes and gloves and then sar themselves with the dark blood and flesh of the dead zombie.
In this way, when other zombies were nearby, they couldn’t sll the blood flowing in her body. This was such a disgusting thod that she had not expected to use it so early into the apocalypse.
In fact, she didn’t plan on using it in this life. She had used it in her previous life because after her jade bangle together with all the supplies were taken by that despicable man, she had to fend for herself if she didn’t want to be used for just a bite of food.
Thus, on the days her body needed rest, she would use this thod to go out and scavenge for sothing to eat. The problem was that after a few years and humans scavenging for supplies for so long, finding sothing to eat was tougher than nails.
However, where there is life there is hope. So, even knowing this, people still went out to scavenge and so lucky ones would stumble upon a can of food or a packet of noodles in a heap of junk or trash.
Sotis, it’s food that had been thrown away because it had expired and so rich people in the apocalypse wouldn’t put expired food in their mouth.
Yes, that was the disparity in the apocalypse. There was still a divide between the rich and the poor. However, it wasn’t necessarily the sa people who had been rich before the apocalypse to be wealthy later.
In fact, so people who had been dirt poor before the apocalypse were among the richest later because they had suffered a lot in the civilized and lawful world.
In the apocalypse, they could sll what would happen way before it does. Therefore, after the first disaster of torrential rains, they found a safe zone and recruited so followers then banded together to collect as many supplies as they could.
They later used them to exchange for what they needed and that’s how they beca tycoons in the apocalypse.
Without the jade bangle, they probably had to do what those people did. She could start with the supplies she had in the warehouse.
This way, she could make Leng Pan work for her as a protector in exchange for supplies.
While Bai Yinyin was still daydreaming, she had no idea that her supplies had benefited Leng Pan and Lu Zhen a long ti ago.
