"I found sothing else. It points to a place that had always been terd as a ruined city, but the information I found suggested that there was more to that place than ets the eye." Lu Tao continued as he opened a drawer and took out a stack of papers.

There was so scarce information printed on it, but it showed the location of their next destination clearly. Yes, even before knowing much, Lu Zhen and Leng Pan had already made up their minds to go there.

It was indicated as an old abandoned lab in a small town that went up in smoke from an earthquake many years ago. However, the information in the papers in their hands seed to suggest that the earthquake might have been manmade.

They didn’t understand what was there to hide that could cause soone to take a step into sinking a whole town. But they were going to find out.

Assistant Yao sat at the side without saying anything because he still didn’t understand what was going on but since his boss didn’t explain, he didn’t ask either.

"When do you plan to go? I can go with you." Lu Tao offered because he also wanted to do sothing exciting with his brother.

However, Lu Zhen rejected him right away. He couldn’t take any risk without knowing everything yet. All he had now were so scattered mories from a past he hadn’t kown existed until a while ago and enemies he didn’t understand.

He could not pull his younger brother into such a dangerous situation without understanding everything fully.

However, he didn’t plan to cut his brother off completely. He could still participate in the mission, but he had to do it remotely. What was all the compromise Lu Zhen was willing to make, and Lu Tao knowing his brother well didn’t insist. He was content with being a part of the mission even if he would participate while sitting at ho.

He didn’t want to be a burden to his brother anyway and he had seen how zombies could be challenging at tis. Therefore, he didn’t argue. He would what he could to protect his brother and sister-in-law and finding as much detailed information as possible was one way.

"I can make that communication devices and create my own frequency so that we don’t need the internet or satellite to communicate. This will also make it a little difficult for others to track you down.

I’ll make a few so that you can take them when you leave." Lu Tao beca more energetic when he talked about technology.

It seed that he was getting better and better. Moreover, ever since Leng Pan and Lu Zhen entered the apartnt before breakfast, he could feel the flow of his energy smoothen and his hearing ability beco clearer for eavesdropping on conversations miles away.

He was also sure that the spike in their abilities every now and then when Lu Zhen and Leng Pan showed up had sothing to do with the catalyst core ntioned by that Dominion leader, but again, he kept this information to himself.

He knew that just as he was able to hear other people’s conversations from miles away or hack into other people’s communication channels, others could do the sa to them.

If he said sothing that could bring trouble to his family just because of curiosity then he could never forgive himself.

"Okay, you get to work, and while at it, make a set of those communication devices for Yao. he will co with us." Lu zhen instructed as he got up and took his wife’s hand to leave.

He was aware that his brother was itching to start on the project and since they already got what they ca for, they could leave.

Assistant Yao followed Lu Zhen again and when they got to the living room, they said goodbye to the three won who were busy with sewing clothes and headed to Leng Pan’s apartnt.

They could talk there without having to worry about their family mbers.

After sitting down in the living room, Leng Pan was still worried that their conversation might be a bit sensitive and if picked up by the wrong ears, they could be in big trouble.

"Do you think if I used a technique I caught last night to create a vacuum around us, it will isolate any listening ears?" She asked out loud while in deep thought.

The previous night in her mories, apart from picking up on how to use minimal energy to freeze a person into a statue, she had also realized that commander Leng in the eting room was constantly releasing her energy.

She was obviously very strong in the mory because even though her energy surrounded the tent where the eting was held the whole ti, she never seed to have made a dent in her energy reserves.

She wondered when she would get to that point since now she had to be very economical with how or when she used her superpower so that she doesn’t run out of energy when an enemy struck.

"It’s possible." Lu Zhen replied. Since he wasn’t the one doing the masking in the mory, he wasn’t aware of Leng Pan’s experience but he will always support his wife.

Leng Pan didn’t waste ti and imdiately mist ford around the living room, completely isolating it. It was different from before when people could talk to each other across the mist, now, others outside ouldn’t hear them.

Even though she wasn’t sure if she had succeeded, Leng Pan was confident that t least, the people in the other apartnt couldn’t hear her, which ant that her goal had been accomplished.

"When do you plan to take auntie out?" Lu Zhen after being reassured by his wife asked assistant Yao.

"I was planning on taking her today but she said she had a prior commitnt. But I can make sure that I take her tomorrow.

Boss, what is going on and where are we supposed to go?" Assistant Yao finally could not resist the curiosity.

He didn’t worry that his boss would get angry since from the conversation with the second Young Master, he was also supposed to join him. Therefore, there was no need to hide it.
