Until they realized that this was their life and no one else should interfere. However, because they lived in an era where a wife was expected to follow everything her husband wanted, they developed a way of communication that only the two of them understood.
They could discuss sothing with their eyes and co to a decision. However, the husband would always voice the decision, making others think that it was his chauvinistic decision alone.
In this way, their marriage had not had issues in decades.
Now that they saw that their son was finally enlightened, they were actually happy, but pretended otherwise because they were used to the facade.
Back in Juan Ke’s apartnt, he also sat alone looking outside the window in the living room.

At the mont, he had lit a fire in the heating stove in the living room.
He had realized that the small portable heater used too much fuel and decided to change the way he heated the environnt.
Using wood was cheaper and also heated the entire house. What he was worried about was the fact that the weather was becoming colder by the day.
Within just a few days, the temperature had dropped to about 5° and now they had to wear several layers of warm clothes and heat the house to stay warm.
From the way things were, he was worried that the temperature would continue to fall. Unfortunately, there was no way of knowing how long the weather would remain like this.
Thinking of this, he started to analyze what Leng Pan had said and wondered how such harsh weather might be the result of a man-made reason.
If the apocalypse was caused by a human being, then that ant that any unnatural thing happening was caused by such man-reasons.
His thinking wasn’t wrong as at the mont, they were going through winter in August. This was completely unheard of as winter was still months away.
However, they were already battling such cold weather.
He just did know if it will be the normal winter or sothing else will happen. However, seeing how even people could beco flesh-eating monsters, he didn’t put anything past happening.
Thus, he resolved to go out the next day to cut more firewood. He thought that the more he had at ho the better.
As Juan Ke made this decision, he also accepted the fact that he would join Leng Pan’s team to fight whatever needed to be fought.
He didn’t think that his life had any aning anymore since even the wife he had loved for so long had turned out to be soone he couldn’t recognize.
It wasn’t that he thought his life was worthless now, but that there was nothing worth sitting around waiting for in the apocalypse.
Therefore, he thought that it was better to dedicate his life to doing sothing that could help humanity. Even if his contributions aren’t significant, if he could help even a little, then he would be happy.
Therefore, he made a decision to go and see Lu Zhen and Leng Pan the next day to tell them his decision if joining them to fight whatever was coming.
As the dark sky enveloped everything outside, his life didn’t feel so dark anymore after making that decision. In fact, he could say that he had seen the light at the end of the tunnel.
With this thought, Juan Ke got up from his seat and went to the bedroom to sleep.
Janna was the most relaxed among all of them. From the mont she had followed Leng Pan and witnessed her fighting power, she had beco her idol and had vowed that she would follow her forever.
So, in her case, there was nothing to decide. Her decision was very obvious and she didn’t bother thinking too much about what Leng Pan had said.
For her, all she had to do was follow what Leng Pan said and that was enough.
So, while the other two families were thinking deeply and even discussing with their families about what to do, she was already in slumberland.
Leng Pan and Lu Zhen went back to their apartnt after the guests have left and began to discuss the possible choices the three families will make.
"I think Juan Ke and Janna are a guarantee that they will remain, but do you think the Xu family will choose to leave?" Leng Pan asked as she lay in her husband’s arms in bed.
Lu Zhen was playing with a lock of her hair with the other arm wrapped around her waist.
"I am not too sure, but I think that Xu Man seed to want to stay. We can only wait until tomorrow to find out.
We don’t know anything about the other people in his house except his wife.
I think his wife is a resolute person and will definitely want to stay, but that will also depend on others." Lu Zhen only talked so much when he was with Leng Pan.
It was as if his mute button would be switched off when they were together and switched back on when he ets other people.
