AA had been captured as well. Leng Pan was debating with herself on whether to destroy the damn thing or there was use for it later.
So, it was tied to a chair as if kidnapped. Well, in a way it had been kidnapped
Lu Tao walked over to Leng Pan’s side and called to her.
"Sister-in-law.... sister-in-law." He called in a whisper.
Leng Pan opened her eyes and sat down straight.
"I found the machine we wanted. I compared it to normal DNA testing equipnt and it’s a little different but I have already figured out how to use it." He explained eagerly as if asking for praise.
Leng Pan smiled and stood up, patting his head, she praised.
"Good job. Let’s go get it over with." She said and turned to look at her husband.
She thought that if he was still ditating, then she could leave him and go do the tests alone.
However, just as she took one step forward, Lu Zhen opened his eyes. It seed that he had been aware of everything going on around him.
"Let’s go together." He said and stood up.
The others didn’t understand what was going on but they had learned never to ask questions if Leng Pan and Lu Zhen weren’t talking to them directly.
Since they were not invited, they assud it was a confidential test, so they stayed put.
The three Lu family mbers climbed stairs and headed to the fourth floor.
The boxes left on the corridor were collected by Leng Pan into the space bangle.
As they climbed to the upper floors, she collected more boxes and bags of supplies.
For the supplies that filled the room at the back of the cafeteria and in the warehouse, Lu Tao explained the situation and they went in so that Leng Pan could collect them.
This ti, she didn’t behave like she did in that backward town. She left nothing behind. Not even the torn packages.
The eighth floor was just as clean as the other floors. It could be seen that AA took his job seriously.
Unfortunately, it was on the enemy’s side.
The other team mbers had proceeded to the upper floors to see if they would find more useful things.
The eighth floor was quiet, so quiet that one could barely hear the roars of zombies outside.
Lu Tao took them to the DNA testing room and showed them the equipnt he had found.
After studying them for a while, they understood how it worked and got to work.
In preparation for this day, Leng Pan had long collected Hao’s blood sample. Although it was a little different, but it was still blood and could be used for testing.
Lu Zhen took out a knife from his pocket and made a small cut on his finger.
"We could have just used a syringe. Why did you have to hurt yourself?" Leng Pan asked, her eyes filled with heartache.
"It’s just a small wound. It will heal in a few hours." He comforted Leng Pan who was busy collecting the blood on his finger cut.
"You still shouldn’t hurt yourself just because now you heal faster." Leng Pan reprimanded.
Indeed, the mbers of the Lu family all had made progress in their bodily functions.
Because of drinking the spiritual spring water so often, their bodies had developed not only a strong resistance to diseases and viruses, but their healing abilities had also increased.
The person with the highest healing ability was Leng Pan, who also happened to have the spiritual spring in her body.
She had absorbed a lot of the spiritual spring water and altered her physique.
Now, not to ntion healing, even if so of her flesh was cut, it would grow back quickly.
However, no one would wish for her to get hurt.
Similarly, those who drank the spiritual spring water often, even if they couldn’t absorb as much as Leng Pan into their bodies, they still benefited.
Leng Pan took the two samples and placed them in their respective chambers.
This machine was different because you didn’t mix the blood from the start. Instead, you placed it in different chambers for it to be analyzed.
The machine first analyzed what kind of sample was provided and gave information about its components.
It even stated whether the owner of the sample was male or female.
If they had any hereditary diseases or other complications.
Once done, it would start rotating the chambers at a fast speed and move the samples around to stimulate them and mix them.
Only then, did it provide details of the testing results.
Once Lu Zhen and Hao’s blood mixed together, it didn’t show the characteristics Leng Pan had feared.
Which was lucky.
She had been afraid that once the blood from the two different species mixed, the blood cells belonging to Hao would devour Lu Zhen’s, however, it seed that she had been worried for nothing.
The blood shows the mixing percentage on the screen, which was the percentage of how closely related the owners of the samples were.
Lu Zhen hadn’t expected anything. After all, they were just acting on a wimp because of sothing Hao said.
However, looking at the results on the screen, it was a worthy journey.
The screen, for so reason, showed that they were over 60% related.
Looking at this percentage, for a sample used to make Hao during their great-grandfather’s ti, it was a bit unreasonable.
"Why would the percentage be so high? It is as if he were an uncle or a cousin. Is the DNA of your family really this tight?" Leng Pan asked in astonishnt.
"I am just as surprised as you are
Maybe it is because Hao is different, or maybe we have been making assumptions." Lu Zhen replied.
"What assumptions?" Leng Pan asked curiously.
"Did my great-grandfather really use his own DNA?" He asked thoughtfully.
"What do you an?" Leng Pan was completely lost here.
