Rich Parents Found Me After I Got a Tycoon System? Yeah, I'm Not Interested Chapter 99: Everyone is Stuffed
The group arrived at Hongxing Orphanage. Seeing the crowd of strangers, many of the children couldn’t help but shyly peek out to look at them.
"Sister Zi Jin!"
One of the children recognized Yun Zijin and ca running toward her like a little cannonball.
Since there was no malice, Zero One and the others didn’t intervene.
"Little Xingxing! Long ti no see!"
Yun Zijin crouched down, gathering the child in her arms and speaking to her gently.
Little Xingxing was only three years old and still had trouble speaking clearly. The conditions at the orphanage weren’t the best, so she didn’t have much baby fat.
But her face and clothes were clean and tidy, a clear sign that the orphanage staff was taking diligent care of the children.
"Sister Zi Jin, I haven’t seen you in so long! So many nights and days went by. Where did you go this ti? Why didn’t you co back to see us?"
Little Xingxing looked at Yun Zijin with her big, innocent eyes, making one want to give her all the best things in the world.
’How can there be such an adorable child in this world!’
"Sister went to make money to build a big house for you and everyone else, Little Xingxing. You’ll get to have your own little room!"
The orphanage was small and housed too many children, so they usually had to share rooms.
The younger kids’ rooms were more crowded. The older ones had bunk beds, with two sets sleeping four people, making the conditions no better than a school dormitory.
"Really? I can have my own room too?"
Hearing that she could have her own room, Little Xingxing’s eyes seed to fill with stars, sparkling so brightly that Yun Zijin’s heart completely lted.
"Of course! But building a big house takes a very, very long ti, so Little Xingxing will have to be patient and wait, okay?"
At that mont, Yun Zijin was exuding a maternal glow, and one could truly feel a sense of warmth emanating from her.
"Alright, alright, your Sister Zi Jin just got back and hasn’t eaten yet. Why don’t you go play by yourself? Sister Zi Jin needs to eat, or her tummy will be hungry."
Seeing that Little Xingxing was still clinging to Yun Zijin, Liao Zhuxiu quickly stepped in.
If she let her keep asking questions, they would never get to eat.
It was already past twelve. Most of the children at the orphanage had already eaten. The food for Yun Zijin’s group had been cooked separately.
"Okay, Sister Zi Jin. You eat up, then. I’ll co find you again later, okay?"
Little Xingxing said innocently, looking at Yun Zijin with her clear, bright voice.
"Okay~"
After finally coaxing the child away, Liao Zhuxiu turned to Lu Yunque and the others, looking a bit embarrassed. "I’m sorry about that. Zijing hasn’t been back in a long ti, and this child has always been her biggest fan. She gets a bit clingy now that she’s back."
"It’s no problem at all, the child is adorable!"
Yun Zijin wasn’t the only one who had been chard; Li Yuexing had almost been moved to tears by the cuteness.
’Sigh, after seeing so many bratty kids, even a moderately well-behaved child seems exceptionally innocent and cute.’
Although Lu Yunque and the others didn’t say anything, you could tell from their expressions that they weren’t the least bit annoyed.
"That’s good. Let take you to the cafeteria first. The children’s lunch couldn’t be delayed, so they’ve already eaten.
"I had soone prepare a fresh al for you, but the dishes and their presentation might not be the best. Please don’t mind."
Liao Zhuxiu was a little embarrassed. In her haste to invite them to the orphanage, it hadn’t occurred to her that the food might not be to her guests’ tastes.
"It’s fine. If they dare to complain, I just won’t include them in the project."
As the client, Yun Zijin held all the cards.
"Zijing, that’s a low blow. We ca here with the utmost sincerity."
Normally, they wouldn’t need to personally inspect the site for such a small project. They were only considering getting involved in this orphanage expansion because Yun Zijin was leading it.
If it had been anyone else, they wouldn’t have even given it a second thought.
"The blueprints will speak for themselves. I’m not going to go easy on you."
Yun Zijin understood perfectly well what to avoid when doing business with friends. Playing favorites was out of the question, and mixing business with personal matters was a major taboo.
Liao Zhuxiu led the group to the orphanage’s cafeteria. The mont they stepped through the door, they could sll the aroma of food.
"Aunt Liao, did the cafeteria make sweet and sour pork ribs today?"
Sweet and sour pork ribs were the most popular dish at the orphanage, but they weren’t served every day.
Yun Zijin had eaten the dish many tis during her three years in Dijing, but it always felt like sothing was missing.
She never expected to have it on her very first day back.
"Knowing you were coming back, Old Lin made a special trip to buy fresh ribs."
The two eight-person tables in the cafeteria were laden with dishes. While there was nothing particularly fancy, every single one brought back childhood mories for Yun Zijin.
"It’s still hot! I can tell it’s going to be delicious. We’re all friends here, so I’ll dig right in!"
Li Yuexing grabbed a bowl and chopsticks from the table and started serving himself so rice.
Seeing Li Yuexing’s enthusiasm, the smiles on the cafeteria staff’s faces grew much brighter.
"Mr. Lu, these bowls and chopsticks have all been sterilized. If you..."
Yun Zijin noticed that Lu Yunque and the other two hadn’t moved and thought they were put off by the cleanliness of the tableware.
But this was an orphanage full of children. The bowls might be plastic, but they were absolutely clean and hygienic.
After each use, they were cleaned and then placed in a sterilizer cabinet before being used again.
"It’s fine. It’s just my first ti eating in an environnt like this. I’m just not used to it."
With that, Lu Yunque also picked up a bowl and chopsticks, got so rice after Li Yuexing, and sat down smoothly.
A man well over six feet tall sitting on a small cafeteria stool... his long legs looked a little out of place.
Fu Ze and Sheng Hao weren’t fussy either. They each grabbed a bowl and chopsticks, served themselves rice, and sat down.
Needless to say, Yun Zijin did the sa—she had grown up here, after all.
However, with Yun Zijin’s bodyguards and Lu Yunque’s assistants, one table wasn’t enough.
They sensibly sat down at the other table.
*
「After lunch.」
"Oh man! I’m so stuffed! I can barely move."
Li Yuexing hadn’t expected that these seemingly unremarkable dishes would be so addictive. He’d eaten until he was stuffed without even realizing it.
"You’re stuffed? I’ll go get you so digestive aids. If you like the food, just co back next ti. Don’t eat too much all at once."
Hearing Li Yuexing say he was stuffed, Liao Zhuxiu hurried off to find him so dicine.
Lu Yunque and the others hadn’t said anything, but after putting down their bowls, none of them moved either.
"You guys... You’re not stuffed too, are you?"
Yun Zijin glanced at the three of them. ’Why do they look a little guilty?’
"It’s alright. This happens to a lot of first-ti visitors. You’ll be prepared for it next ti, and it’ll be fine."
When volunteers ca, they often overate too. In any case, it was hard to say whether it was the cafeteria chef’s fault or the volunteers’.
"Really? That’s pretty amazing!"
Hearing Yun Zijin’s explanation, Fu Ze also found it rather incredible.
