After he finished speaking, Pang Hu looked at Fang Chenyi again with a wry smile and said:
"Whether or not it’s our official seal is sothing I’m sure Supervisor Du can determine. Chairman Fang, although this has nothing to do with , we still bear so responsibility. Sigh, to be honest with you, this is all related to a new driver our company hired."
At this, Pang Hu sighed and continued:
"On the afternoon of the day Miss Bai visited, that driver quit without so much as a word. After I looked into it, I found out that this Mu Linsen is a friend of the driver’s. The car Miss Bai ntioned was the one Mu Linsen borrowed from him. As for whether the driver was involved, I really don’t know. The reason we didn’t ntion this was that we figured it was better to let sleeping dogs lie. Sigh, I never expected it would cause you so much trouble."
After hearing his side of the story and combining it with what Bai ngyao had said before, Fang Chenyi now had a general understanding of the whole situation.
Just then, a woman walked over carrying a small bag.
"Brother Hu, I’ve brought the official seals."
Pang Hu reached out and took it, then personally took out several official seals from inside and stamped each one on a blank sheet of paper.
He then handed both the seals and the stamped paper to Du Wenxue.
"Supervisor Du, please verify their authenticity."
Du Wenxue nodded. After taking the seals and the paper, he pulled a small device that looked like a miniature microscope from his bag and began examining the two sheets of paper.
Seeing this, no one spoke. All eyes were fixed on Du Wenxue.
Two minutes later, Du Wenxue set the two sheets aside, picked up an official seal again, and stamped it on a piece of paper he had brought himself. He then placed it back under the device to inspect it.
Du Wenxue was clearly doing this because he was afraid the other party had tampered with the paper they provided.
A mont later, Du Wenxue put down the device in his hand, looked up at Fang Chenyi, and shook his head.
"They weren’t made with the sa seal."
Hearing this, Pang Hu let out a long sigh of relief, then said with a wry smile:
"Heh, I was telling the truth, Chairman Fang. If I had really done this, I, Pang Hu, would definitely admit it. But don’t you worry, Chairman Fang, we will cooperate fully."
"What do we do now, brother-in-law! What do we do? Does this an we can’t get the money back?"
Bai ngyao grew anxious the mont she heard it was a forgery.
Fang Chenyi frowned, a headache coming on. According to Pang Hu’s story, it really seed like this guy had nothing to do with it.
"Chairman Fang, why don’t we just hand it over to the police?"
Wan Li, who was standing to the side, spoke up.
Frowning, Fang Chenyi nodded.
"Mm, since things are clear now, let’s have the police help recover the stolen money. Supervisor Du, I’ll leave this matter to you."
With that, he stood up. The others saw this and stood up as well. Bai ngyao, however, looked utterly crestfallen. To think they still couldn’t get the money back directly today. But at least the other party was cooperating, and they had a new lead.
Seeing that Fang Chenyi wasn’t coming after him, Pang Hu couldn’t help but let out a long sigh of relief, thinking to himself, ’Still so naive.’
Fang Chenyi had just taken two steps after standing up when he suddenly turned back to Wan Li, speaking as if he’d just rembered sothing.
"Oh, right, Old Wan, I almost forgot. Go ahead and buy up all of Sanqiang Entertainnt’s publicly traded shares. I want to be their biggest shareholder."
Hearing this, Pang Hu, who had just been thinking his opponent was too green, nearly tripped over his own feet.
"Well..."
Hearing Fang Chenyi’s words, Wan Li hesitated.
"What? Is it difficult?"
After Fang Chenyi asked, Wan Li gave a strained smile and said:
"It is a bit difficult..."
Fang Chenyi couldn’t help but frown, turning his gaze to Wan Li.
Seeing this, Wan Li could only offer another wry smile.
"Chairman, Sanqiang Entertainnt is just a third-rate little company. It’s not publicly listed... So... you see..."
Hearing this, Pang Hu’s heart suddenly relaxed. ’That’s right, my company isn’t even publicly listed! I own all the shares myself, what the hell do I have to be afraid of?’
Fang Chenyi’s brow smoothed out, and he slapped his forehead, looking exasperated.
"Hah, I haven’t dealt much with unlisted small companies, so I forgot about that. Forget the acquisition, then. Just put the word out in the industry and have them blacklisted."
THUD.
Pang Hu, who was still celebrating behind them, imdiately fell on his ass. He then scrambled back to his feet and lunged toward Fang Chenyi, begging desperately.
But the n Wan Li had brought with him weren’t about to let him get close to the Chairman. A few big guys flanked Pang Hu and held him back.
Watching her brother-in-law’s domineering display, the previously crestfallen Bai ngyao sighed to herself, ’Sigh, I just wasn’t born with nghan’s good fortune...’
At the doorway, Fang Chenyi suddenly stopped and turned back to look at the devastated Pang Hu.
"I know you’re not happy about this, but sorry. The mont you chose to hide the truth, this outco was inevitable."
After saying this, he walked toward the exit without a backward glance.
Once they were out the main door, his father-in-law and Second Uncle suddenly approached, opening their mouths as if they wanted to say sothing but were hesitating.
Seeing this, Fang Chenyi imdiately put on that harmless-looking expression of his again. "Father Bai, Second Uncle, what’s wrong?"
Father Bai sighed and finally spoke.
"Blacklisting them... does that an you’re going to ruin their company? Isn’t that... a little... a little too harsh?"
Fang Chenyi smiled a bit helplessly and said, "Father Bai, Second Uncle, then was it not harsh of them to put my sister-in-law’s family through this? Heh heh, you two don’t need to overthink it. Just look at his character; he’s definitely done plenty of shady things. This is just him getting what he deserves. We’ve been busy all morning, it’s the perfect ti for everyone to co over to our place for a al!"
After hearing Fang Chenyi’s explanation, Father Bai and Second Uncle looked at each other, and neither said another word.
Arriving at the car, Fang Chenyi looked at Wan Li and his n.
"Haha, thank you all for your hard work today. We’re right at my doorstep. I’ve got food prepared at ho, let’s all have a drink together!"
Wan Li was about to offer so polite refusals, but Principal Wang walked over with a chuckle. "Uncle Wan, you can’t compare the food at Brother Fang’s house to what you get outside. You’ll definitely regret it if you don’t go."
Seeing this, Wan Li smiled and nodded. "In that case, we’ll impose on you, Chairman."
Back at his own car, just as he was about to get in, Bai ngyao suddenly called out to Fang Chenyi:
"Brother-in-law, I still have this. Do you think it’s still useful? What should I do with it?"
