"Hehe!" Zhang Chengwu leapt out imdiately. "That is right! Our Pavilion Master Qin is now a Core Disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect!"
"And I am the attendant of a Core Disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect! Tsk! Cool, right?"
"Ah?!"
And the disciples of the Myriad Sword Pavilion turned red-faced at the re utterance of these words. The logic was sound and the facts were undeniable, but why was this guy so insufferably proud of it?
"Pavilion Master Qin?" Bai Ming was perplexed. "What is that? Am I a deputy now?"
But in the next second, the reality of the situation dawning on Bai Ming was like a physical punch. "Holy crap! A... a Core Disciple?!" His voice had begun to stutter in fear.
"Why so shocked?" Qin Mu asked, obviously confused. "Are you one too?"
"Pfft!" Bai Ming felt like he was about to keel over from shock, flailing about wildly with his hands. "No, no, no, I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare. What sort of organization is the Heavenly Sword Sect? Even people of my talent are already not good enough just to be admitted!"
Lin Zhang and City Lord Jiang Hong were left dumbfounded.
"What's outrageous about that?" Lin Zhang growled. "If soone as important as the Head of the White Sword Sect doesn't qualify to be more than an Outer Sect Disciple, then what kind of talent would soone with Core status have?"
Zhang Chengwu tried to continue his words; however, his mind suddenly went blank. "Eh? What I just tried to say? Dammit! How am I unable to recall the details of the assessnt?"
Bai Qingyan gasped, "Our mories? They were erase? I didn't feel anything."
The trial base had this trick too, and Qin Mu hadn't noticed that. They were all totally caught off guard because mories were erased.
Zhang Chengwu furiously rubbed his forehead. "That's not right, I could have sworn it was there. There was a very strong sense of it in the trial base, a strong desire to lick sothing."
Qi Jun moved quickly aside. "Get lost!"
It seed that even the mory of rewards had been erased, Qin Mu concluded.
Bai Ming, however, was shaken. "A Core Disciple requires unique cultivation techniques – maybe even legendary ones. And you only went inside for a day. With your speed in making breakthroughs, your heavenly-defying abilities would impress the sect itself! There had to be many rewards too. Don't you think so? Those would be Dragon Refining Pills, Soul Forging Pills, maybe others?"
"Dragon Refining Pills and Soul Forging Pills?" Lin Zhang and the City Lord said in amazent.
"The Dragon Refining Pill is a legendary Star Rank pill that leads directly to the Great Grandmaster breakthrough," Bai Ming said.
"Slap!" Zhang Chengwu slapped himself on the forehead. "Oh, I rember now. It's because of that Soul Forging Pill. It had such a damn fine sll. Too bad I don't even know if I got a chance to lick it. Sigh, miscalculation!"
They looked at Qin Mu with hopeful faces.
"I do have the pills," Qin Mu said. "I even have the techniques."
He had no plans to conceal anything anymore. Concealnt is for the weak, and he did not require concealnt with his authority at this point.
Bai Ming's eyes lit up. He opened his mouth to speak.
"Bai Ming!" Qin Mu shouted coldly. "If you were an outsider, I wouldn't care. But since you are an Outer Sect Disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect, you should know the rules."
"Hiss." Bai Ming's eyes flickered, and he took a breath of cold air. "This disciple wouldn't dare."
The onlookers were shocked.
"What is going on?" Lin Zhang's mouth twitched. "The Heavenly Sword Sect is powerful, but it is a relic of the past. Rules or no rules, they shouldn't be this ridiculous!"
"Hey!" Bai Ming frowned, his voice dropping to a warning growl. "Watch what you say!"
He stared at the crowd and spoke slowly."It's true the Heavenly Sword Sect is ancient, but would such a school truly fall so easily?"
"It didn't fall?" a voice whispered. The thought of such a power remaining active was terrifying. Everyone's hearts began to pound wildly.
"You all are Great Grandmasters," continued Bai Ming. "You all know that according to the categorization of the universe, Great Grandmasters are only Star Rank martial artists. The universe is infinite, and Dragon Star is by no ans alone. What we fear most is not ferocious beasts but rather whether or not the universal force, which appeared on Dragon Star before, might co back again. Galaxy Level, Star River Level. these people have enough strength to hold back entire galaxies. They can tread on stars and crush planets just by roaring. If these beings ca out again, our cultivations would be irrelevant."
This news stunned all of them, including the seniors like Lin Zhang. Qin Mu was also startled; he had all the ranks in his mind, but he hadn't considered if these kind of beings actually existed.
"Grandfather," Bai Qingyan asked, "if these forces really exist, why have there been no records throughout the past thousands of years?"
"The universe is cruel, and strength is exalted," Bai Ming spat a wry smile. "They don't co, not because this place is desolate, but because Dragon Star was once protected. We speculate that Dragon Star is within the Heavenly Sword Sect's sphere of influence. They deterred the ten thousand races of the universe for hundreds of thousands of years."
Lin Zhang and Jiang Hong started to feel their hearts racing. Could a sect so alarming to the entire universe be treated in a carefree conversation? The attitude of Lin Zhang and Jiang Hong changed imdiately. To be a Core Disciple in this sect was to have an unthinkably high status.
Zhang Chengwu, however, felt imnse pride. "Pavilion Master is aweso! If you don't mind, after I drink that Soul Forging Pill…"
"Get lost!" Qin Mu yelled. The guy was really stubborn.
"Alright, alright~" Zhang Chengwu was not irritated. "I understand—that's no reward without rit. Whatever the Pavilion Master wants, I will tackle it with all my being."
"I do have the Soul Forging Pills," Qin Mu thought for a mont. "Since you passed from trial, you must know the rules. You are in modern society, and I won't force you. If you wish to work with my Heavenly Sword Sect, stay. If not, you may leave."
