Martial God Hall Plaza

An eerie silence prevailed in the square. The group of Martial Artists was so shocked that none of them could muster enough air to breathe.

"Who dares go up there?"

"It’s a suicide mission!"

"As far as his attack moves, his Nine-Swords-in-a-Line trick is an imdiate killer against anyone who is not a Great Grandmaster."

"And his defense? He handles that Flying Sword of his with such expertise that his ntalist skill is so refined and subtle that one cannot even grasp his robes corner."

The Martial Artists below the stage were as silent as cicadas in winter.

Wu Po Xing, however, was extrely angry. A thunderous roar raged from his throat.

"Are you all scared already?!!"

"As Martial Artists, if you guys do not even have the courage to challenge others, what are you guys doing in martial arts practice anyway?"

"What the hell?"

Qin Mu was thinking to himself, "What’s going on here? I don’t think I did anything wrong. This guy is just trying to screw over! I simply wanted to sneak in and take down the championship, as well as make so easy cash from side bets."

"And I didn’t rob your precious Star-Breaking Martial Arts Hall’s warehouse, so why are you yelling at like this?"

"I’ll go"

Bai Qingyan pushed those thoughts away, jumped up in the air, and mounted her Flying Sword, landing right in front of Qin Mu.

"You may have won in the points match before," she said, "but in this one, I bet my honor as a ntalist! I shall do everything possible to beat you!"

However, Qin Mu chose to disregard the animosity and turned to ask a question.

"Alliance Leader, you just said the first place winner who beats gets so rewards. Then what happens to the rewards when I win?"

Wu Po Xing was taken aback temporarily, but then he smiled.

"If you take first place, the rewards promised earlier will naturally be yours! But the premise is that you must withstand the challenges of all the Martial Artists present."

hoo~

Upon hearing this, the crowd below erupted with excitent.

"That’s right!"

"The Leader of the Alliance is giving the signal for a war of attrition!"

"He is a ntalist. His energy usage is enormous. With so many of us, what is there to fear from him, by himself?"

"We’ll drain him dry!"

"Charge!"

"The rewards are all mine!"

Bai Qingyan’s face was cold and arrogant. She drew her Flying Sword and pointed it at Qin Mu. "There’s no need for a group fight. I’ll win the fight alone!"

Troubleso

Qin Mu helplessly shrugged his shoulders. He clicked on ’Martial God Hall Smart System’ to reconfigure his equipnt settings.

"Since we have to fight sooner or later," Qin Mu shouted, "then all of you—co at once."

Pfft

"Everyone just froze, right where they were,"

"What? All at once!?"

"That’s too arrogant, isn’t it?"

"Is he crazy? There are at least a thousand Martial Artists, and more than a hundred ntalists!"

"Forget about fighting—Even if we just spat on you, we’d drown you!"

Qin Mu looked at the assembly calmly. "Sorry, but a group of cowardly mobs who are too scared to co at one by one are certainly not a threat enough to end my life."

He paused, his voice cold,

"A Dragon is a Dragon, and an insect is an insect. Insects may co in droves, but they cannot drown a Dragon."

BOOM

The crowd went completely berserk.

"Alliance Leader!"

"This Qin Mu is going too far. I demand to be let up to duel with him imdiately!"

Wu Po Xing gazed down at the battlefield. His eyes widened even further. In his mind, he was even more shocked than the students there. To begin with, the strategy of a war of attrition had been good. First, it would take the asure of Qin Mu, the Genius Psionicist. Secondly, it would kindle the fighting spirit of the young Martial Artists of this generation.

But Qin Mu’s words were much more provocative than anything Wu Po-xing could have shouted.

"Good! This is an unlimited number battle! If you lose, the prizes shall be taken back and given to the other Martial Artists! But if you win," he shouted with amusent. "Then the prizes are all yours!"

Holy crap?

"The Martial Artists fell into a brief daze."

"Are we all going up?"

"Then Qin Mu is definitely dead."

"Brothers, charge! We all get free rewards—don’t pass them up!"

So mbers of the Martial Artists jumped into the stage. Others were still hesitant.

Councilor William noticed these developnts and loudly shouted, "The Alliance Leader has spoken! Are you still hesitating? Do you not want to call yourselves Martial Artists anymore?"

This made them lose their initial hesitation. Everyone went on the stage at the sa ti.

In an instant, this 300 by 300-ter stage was magnified tenfold. It turned three thousand ters long and wide. It did not even feel crowded with one thousand people engaged in simultaneous competition.

"Damn it!"

Qin Mu hadn’t actually anticipated this trump-card move by Wu Po Xing. In fact, a stage of such a previous size would an a hundred people would be equal in effect to a thousand, crowding out all others. Now, it would be a huge burden.

Swish

Shields extended.

These were the upgraded S-Rank Alloy shields, a total of twenty, sealing him away. Nothing, not even a needle, could pass through.

Qi Jun hurried up beside Bai Qingyan. "Senior Sister, what should we do?"

"Go!" Bai Qingyan hesitated for only the blink of an eye. "The Alliance Leader has spoken. Today, let’s defeat him together, and then I’ll defeat him by myself! He must understand thoroughly that there is always soone better than him—that there are mountains beyond mountains!"

Qi Jun rubbed his cheek. "Tsk, he’s definitely dead, you know. In the ntalist battlefield mode, as long as he could fight effectively while retreating, maybe he could survive by hitting his enemies from multiple angles. However, he’s just setting up immobile barriers. If the ntalists charged him together, who could resist that kind of attack?"

Both Qi Jun and the surrounding ntalists were aware of this fact.

"Hahaha!"

"He’s done for!"

"Brothers, listen to my command—one-hit kill!"

"3!" "2!" "1"

BANG

Thousands of Flying Blades ca out from all around the stage, charging towards the shield formation in the center like a rainstorm.

bang bang bang~

The ntalists’ cultivation levels differed, with so being high and others being low. The first wave of swords was the fastest, arriving in an instant.

Typically, against S-Rank Alloy, a regular ntalist’s ability strength alone would not be sufficient to break through. However, the sheer firepower completely shattered the shield formation.

""What’s going on?"

""Ha! I know!"

""Qin Mu is a Genius Psionicist, and his Technique Realm is high, but his cultivation base is low!"

"We attacked him at full force—that’s like peak Ninth-Rank Fierce Dragons! How could he repel it so easily?"

"We’ve got this! Kill!"

"Don’t let the ntalists have all the at—we Martial Artists need so soup too!"

The Martial Artists drew out their respective sabres, spears, battle-axes, and guandaos, and sward forward like a rising tide.

Just then.

A tallic phantom suddenly erupted out of the wreckage of the shield array. Its velocity was staggering; the light was blinding. There was a split-second before one could make out what the thing was.

The next second, the Martial Artists leading the charge experienced it firsthand.

They were Azure Fla Flying Swords, turning at a high speed, furiously tearing up and ripping apart everything before them.

Sizzle sizzle sizzle

Battle suits were sliced dozens of tis in the blink of an eye, torn completely apart, reduced to nothing but tattered scraps. Then high-speed spinning shields whizzed by.

Sharpened shields

One, two, a dozen consecutive slashes.

Crack crack~

A number of Martial Artists were imdiately cut into bits. They broke apart under the pressing power of shield drills and beca bits of matter distributed around the arena.

It was an horrific scene.

For one brief mont, all of the Martial Artists were startled.

"Pfft~

Though this was just a simulation of the Martial God Hall, the people who were not used to the wilderness couldn’t bear to watch.

"...This... what is this thing?"

The moves caught Bai Qingyan by surprise. "

They were indeed drills. However, these were advanced ones.

"The smart system in the Martial God Hall was capable of providing any kind of equipnt that the martial artist might desire. If sothing could be accomplished in real life, it could be accomplished in this world as well," Zhang Tie revealed. Qin Mu had employed the Flying Swords as the drill bits, crafted the S-Rank Alloy Shields into a form suitable for boring, and honed the edges. The destructive power had imdiately skyrocketed. In fact, Qin Mu was also participating safely within the combined drill, without even having to pay attention to defense.

"No need to worry about tactics," he said.

"Just drill! That’s all there was to it!"
