Third Person's POV

The goblins suddenly looked up and shrieked shrilly as the Nova exploded in a burst of dark and blue light.

The explosion was deafening and the shockwave rippled through the clearing.

Trees were uprooted and the goblin wave was sent tumbling back.

When the icy mist cleared, the scene was one of utter carnage.

Dozens of goblins were frozen in place and their expressions were locked in fear, greed, or pain.

Severed limbs and shattered bodies littered the ground and the air was thick with the stench of death.

So goblins that were still alive and caught in the explosion's radius writhed in agony.

Their whole bodies corroded into a sticky black liquid as Ethan's dark energy ate away at their flesh.

Others had expressions of horror as their torso or lower body dissolved into icy powder.

Their compounded screams were hideous and ford a cacophony of pain and terror that echoed through the forest.

Landing beside the two won, he perford another circle swipe and cut down goblins until there was nothing left to kill.

But he had not forgotten the goblin commander.

The only reason he had not pursued that vile creature was his concern for Virelle and Velcy's safety.

He needed to ensure they could handle the massive goblin horde before diverting his focus.

One small mistake could an death or worse—capture.

The goblins' small fras and sheer numbers made their relentless assault nearly impossible to counter once overwheld.

The forest fell into an eerie silence, broken only by the crackling of ice and the faint moans of dying goblins.

Ethan's crimson eyes glead in the moonlight as he turned toward the direction where the goblin commander had disappeared.

The true hunt had just begun.

"You two, follow ," he ordered in a low, commanding voice.

Ethan moved like a phantom through the dark forest and there was no sound of his footsteps as he glided across the uneven terrain and weaving between the gnarled trees.

His violet hair which was now tinged with blood splatters, shimred under the eerie light of the Blood Moon.

Virelle obeyed without hesitation and activated her Blood Wave Movent as a small pool of blood ford beneath her feet.

She surfed across the ground and her body started moving in perfect harmony with the shifting tides of blood energy as her crimson dress fluttered like a banner of war.

Velcy on the other hand dropped to all fours.

Her movents were seemingly feline and silent as she sprinted through the underbrush with her white hair catching faint glimrs of bloody moonlight.

Tracking Ethan's movents was no easy task.

His presence was faint and almost imperceptible as if he were one with the shadows.

Virelle, however, had her own thods. She activated her blood energy which soon harmonized it with the eerie glow of the Blood Moon.

It was a bloodline ability of the noble vampires that few were able to awaken and she was one of them.

The world around her shifted into a monochro landscape of black and red.

Lifeless flora and terrain were reduced to dark shadows while living beings glowed as bloody silhouettes.

In the distance, she caught sight of Ethan's flickering form as his aura alternated between darkness and an eerie red form.

Velcy was unable to see him but she relied on her keen sense of sll as she tracked and followed Ethan's scent with the precision of a predator.

Behind them in the clearing, the carriage sat motionless and its hunched driver remained still and seemingly unfazed by the carnage that had unfolded in front of him just monts before.

His expression remained stoic and his eyes closed as if he was in a deep slumber.

The quiet night was shattered only by the distant sounds of the goblin commander's frantic escape.

The goblin commander ran as though his life depended on it—because it did.

His massive fra which was usually a symbol of his dominance and strength now felt like a burden as he crashed through the underbrush.

His shoulder and neck muscles throbbed with pain especially where Ethan's dark bullet had struck.

His neck was still slick with dried blood.

The attack had been too fast and too precise.

If it was not for his thick hide, honed battle instincts, and the strength granted by his great god he would have been decapitated instantly.

The mory of that near-death experience sent shivers down his spine. The force behind it had been too strong.

He glanced over his shoulder with his toad-like eyes wide with fear.

The forest behind him was alive with movent though he couldn't see or sense his pursuers.

But he could feel them with his instincts. Three distinct presences were closing in.

One was faint and almost undetectable while the others radiated a dangerous energy.

His heart pounded as he pushed his body to its limits and his massive legs propelled him forward with surprising speed.

He had to reach the valley. The abode of his great god was his only hope.

His thick tongue licked at his lips as he saw the familiar jagged cliffs in the distance.

Relief flooded his grotesque features, and a malicious grin twisted his cracked lips. The valley was close—so close.

Yet, Ethan was gaining on him.

The young man remained twenty ters behind as he steadily reduced the distance between them with his movents.

The goblin commander's erratic movents and the blood dripping from his injuries made him easy to track.

Ethan's gaze flickered with cold amusent. "Fool..."

But then, an unsettling sensation crawled up Ethan's spine. His instincts flared and scread at him to stop.

The goblin commander suddenly halted in his tracks and his hunched shoulders shook before he erupted into a fit of deranged laughter.

The sound was jarring and unnatural.

"I am saved!! Ohh, Great God, I thank thee for your rcy and greatness."

Then, the air suddenly changed.

The air grew colder and the shadows grew even deeper as the moonlight seed to be blocked by sothing.
