Third Person’s POV
Within seconds, the oppressive darkness began to dissolve and peel away like burning mist.
For the first ti in what felt like an eternity, rays of sunlight broke through the dark clouds covering the Sanctum realm.
Golden light poured down upon the ravaged land.
The crimson sea reflected that light and started to shimr faintly, but Nyx was not done yet.
High above, she opened her massive jaws, and from within her throat, infernal black flas erupted forth.
They poured downward in a vast torrent, engulfing everything beneath them.
The flas did not behave like ordinary fire.
Instead, they consud dark energy itself as they devoured Dajjal’s lingering mana and erased his influence from the realm.
Wherever the flas passed, the dark ghost heads disintegrated instantly and dissolved into nothing without even leaving ash behind.
The oppressive dark energy saturating the Sanctum began to collapse, and Dajjal’s mana reserves that he had planned to recover from the energy that ford and sustained the dark realm were being burned away rcilessly by the dark infernal flas.
His domain weakened rapidly and beca unable to sustain itself under the combined suppression of Altheria’s blood sea, the roaring blood dragons, and Nyx’s devastating dark infernal flas.
The battlefield trembled as his control slipped, and for the first ti since the battle had begun, the balance had begun to shift.
The dark dragon’s colossal form dominated the heavens, its sheer size overwhelming even the already devastated Sanctum Realm.
It covered nearly half of the sky, its vast body stretching endlessly across the firmant like a living mountain suspended in the air.
From the tip of Nyx’s tail to the crown of her horned head, her length spanned an unimaginable four to five kilotres while her massive dark wings, when spread fully, blotted out entire sections of the sky, casting imnse shadows over the crimson sea below.
Even her eyes were terrifying in scale, with each one as large as a small lake, glowing faintly with a cold, ancient intelligence as they scanned the fractured battlefield.
Seeing her might, far away, hidden within the fragnted folds of space, the dark emperor silently gritted his teeth.
And even though he remained concealed, his attention shifted carefully between the three figures that now dominated the battlefield.
His gaze lingered first on Altheria, who floated above the blood sea like an unshaken monarch.
Then it moved to the mysterious white dragoness, Isha, protecting Ethan, whose calm presence concealed a depth of power he still could not fully asure.
And finally, his attention settled on Nyx, whose golden slit eyes were currently moving slowly and thodically searching for his true body.
They were scouring through space itself.
She was not rely observing the visible world, but probing deeper, into the hidden layers where existence folded upon itself.
Seeing this, a cold sensation crept into his chest as he understood the danger he was surrounded by clearly now.
With all three of them present, his chances of achieving his objective here had diminished drastically.
Worse still, his mana reserves had been heavily depleted after the collapse of his domain reversal spell.
And the destruction of his carefully constructed realm had drained him far more than he had anticipated, leaving him in a weakened state.
Continuing this battle would be reckless, or to be frank, it would be fatal for even an existence like his.
Thinking that, his thoughts shifted imdiately toward retreat, and even though securing the Dark Overlord Origin from Ethan remained his ultimate objective, he knew that forcing the matter now would only result in unnecessary losses for him.
He knew that this was not the end.
It was rely a delay, and he would obtain it eventually, no matter what price he would have to pay and no matter what thods he would have to employ.
His lips curled faintly into a sinister smile, and his thoughts lingered briefly on the Hexweave Black Spider Curse he had implanted within Ethan’s body.
That curse was his assurance and his guarantee.
Only he possessed the knowledge and authority to safely resolve it.
And any attempt by others to remove or tamper with it would trigger its defensive chanism, causing it to consu Ethan’s heart and collapse his magic dinsion entirely.
The result would be his instantaneous death.
At the sa ti, the curse served another purpose.
It was a tracker and a perfect, unbreakable tether that would allow him to locate Ethan again, no matter where he was taken.
Satisfied with his preparations, he made his decision.
In the span of a single second, he acted, and his presence began to fade.
His form dissolved gradually into the surrounding darkness as he reached for the boundary between worlds.
He slipped silently toward the Shadow Realm, attempting to escape without leaving behind even the slightest trace.
The transition was smooth, controlled, and precise, the result of centuries of mastery.
He believed he had succeeded, but he was wrong.
Nyx’s massive golden eyes suddenly froze, and a sharp, freezing light flashed within their depths as she finally sensed a faint disturbance in the space.
It was a fluctuation in the invisible barrier separating the material world from the Shadow Realm.
It was subtle, so subtle that even most Heaven Connection Realm experts would have missed it entirely.
But she was a simple forbidden existence.
She was a dark dragoness, and more importantly, she was a wielder of the mysterious elent of space.
In his haste to escape, the dark emperor had made a critical mistake, and he had forgotten who he was fleeing from.
That tiny spatial ripple that was not even barely noticeable to anyone else was all she needed.
And thanks to it, now she knew exactly where he was.
Nyx’s massive golden slit eyes narrowed subtly, the change so slight that even the surrounding space itself did not dare to react openly to it.
The mont she sensed the faint spatial disturbance originating from the dark emperor’s inter dinsional escape, her entire consciousness entered a state of absolute stillness, becoming as calm and unmoving as a frozen abyss.
