Third Person’s POV

His gaze moved slowly across the cavern and took in every extravagant detail that it had, including the Ice Soul Stones, the vast space, and the hidden potential of this place.

To him, this was not rely a marvel but an opportunity, which could help his branch soar in the height of power.

In his mind, he could already see a future where the resources hidden here would elevate his branch of the family, strengthening their position and allowing them to rise higher within the clan hierarchy.

The dreams ford quietly within his thoughts, and no one noticed.

As they continued walking deeper into the cavern, their footsteps echoing faintly across the frozen ground, the young noblewoman leading the group suddenly slowed, and her gaze shifted as she had finally noticed the icy pond resting quietly at the centre of the cavern.

For a brief mont, her starry blue eyes flickered with recognition, and then they lit up with a subtle but unmistakable excitent, as if a distant mory had surfaced within her mind.

She seed to recall sothing her father had once told her about the goal of her expedition this ti.

The others soon followed her line of sight and noticed the pond as well, and their reactions were imdiate as a mix of surprise, curiosity, and unmistakable excitent filled their minds.

To them, this unusual pond, hidden deep within such a mysterious cavern, could only signify one thing, i.e the presence of a rare, hidden treasure.

However, among them, only the tall armored man reacted differently.

While the others grew eager, his expression beca even more serious.

His eyes sharpened slightly as he scanned the surroundings more carefully, his vigilance increasing instead of diminishing as his intuition and experience told him that such places were always accompanied by terrifying beings dwelling close to it.

Without exchanging many words, the group began moving toward the pond at a quicker pace.

The faint glow of the Ice Soul Stones reflected across the still surface of the water as they approached, and the deeper they went, the more unusual the place felt.

When they finally reached the edge of the pond, they saw the small island at its centre and the faintly still crystal blue Frost Soul Orchid in its middle.

Its delicate petals shimred faintly under the dim light and radiated a soft, icy glow that made it stand out against the otherwise silent and frozen surroundings.

For a mont, no one spoke, though the young noblewoman’s lips curved into a faint smile.

Without hesitation, she reached into her robe and retrieved an ancient book bound in dark blue leather.

The book looked old and worn, its surface marked by faint scratches and age, yet it carried a subtle aura of importance.

A small lock sealed its cover.

She raised her hand and gently covered it with her starry blue mana.

The soft, shimring mana possessed the sa shade and aura that resided within her eyes as it flowed across her fingers and into the lock.

After a few seconds, the seal was released with a quiet click while the others watched this with undisguised envy as they all knew what this book represented.

It was not sothing ordinary.

It was a treasured record and a repository of rare knowledge of almost all the rare magical beasts, rare plants, and herbs found on this continent.

Opening the book carefully, the young woman began flipping through its pages.

Each page was filled with intricate drawings and detailed descriptions of various magical plants and rare beasts, so of which the others had never even heard of before.

She turned several pages with practiced ease before finally stopping, her fingers resting on a page.

The illustration there matched perfectly with the Frost Soul Orchid growing on the island.

Seeing it, the others imdiately gathered closer.

Curiosity overtook them as they leaned in to read the description, as none of them possessed enough knowledge to identify such a rare magical herb on their own.

Among them, the most shaless was the young man as he started to lean in far too close to the young noble woman, almost hovering over and touching her shoulder in his eagerness to read.

His proximity did not go unnoticed.

The young maid frowned slightly before stepping forward and pushing him aside without any courtesy, taking his place next to her mistress.

Being pushed away like this caused the young man’s expression to twist with indignation and humiliation.

However, the mont he caught sight of his grandfather’s stern gaze, he suppressed his anger and swallowed his words, not daring to cause a scene here.

anwhile, the young maid wore a faintly mischievous expression as she read alongside her mistress, clearly enjoying the mont.

But then, sothing changed all of a sudden as they finished reading the description, making their expressions freeze, and their thoughts go blank as the information written on the page was beyond what they had expected.

This was no ordinary magical herb.

This so-called Frost Soul Orchid possessed the ability to assist a mage in advancing within the Sky Realm, a feat so difficult that it was almost impossible to describe in words.

The value of such a treasure was simply imasurable to people like them.

For a brief mont, silence fell over the group, with the only sounds being the faint echoes of dripping water and the distant howl of wind from deep within the cavern.

Aside from its primary function, the book also contained various additional details like its required maturity ti, the conditions needed for its growth, and other subtle characteristics.

Yet even with all that information, one question remained in their minds.

Who was this herb ant for?

Almost instinctively, their gazes shifted, and they all looked toward the tall, armored man.

He stood slightly apart from them, his posture calm and unmoved, as if none of this concerned him at all.

He did not react to their stares, and he did not show even the slightest hint of desire, even though he knew about the function of this orchid, too.
