In the throne room, atop the highest seat, sat a man clad entirely in armor, and below him was a group of bizarre entities draped in green seaweed.
Besides their oddity, an aura of great power emanated from each one, capable of causing significant tremors along the Celestial Cloud Path.
At this mont, the figure on the throne slowly spoke, "Have you found any clues about Qin An?"
Upon hearing this, Qin An subtly raised an eyebrow, gripping Cold Star’s fingers tighter, thinking to himself.
"As I suspected, these guys must have sensed my presence the mont I entered. At this rate, it seems they’re planning to make a move against ."
Thinking this, a figure slowly erged from the group of bizarre beings entwined with seaweed below, approaching the armored man, and respectfully said.
"We have located Qin An’s whereabouts. He is currently in the human forces’ area within the Reincarnation Forbidden Area. Should we make a move now to surround and kill him?"
The armored man pondered for a mont upon hearing this, then shook his head, saying, "As of now, it’s not feasible to act and kill him imdiately."
"If we act rashly now, it may very well arouse the opponent’s vigilance."
"What we must do is eliminate him completely, leaving no chance for him to survive."
The terrifying entity wrapped in seaweed bowed and respectfully asked, "So how should we prepare?"
"Naturally, it’s like when the snipe and the clam grapple, the fisherman will profit," the armored man calmly said. "Once the human forces and the Demon Pseudo-Gods fight it out and are both in dire straits, even the victor will suffer great losses."
"At that point, when we strike, even if those from the Evil Extermination Bureau intervene, they won’t withstand our assault. By then, not only can we kill Qin An, but also cause the Celestial Cloud Path’s Evil Extermination Bureau to suffer great losses. It will be an excellent outco for us."
Hearing this, the many bizarre beings entwined in seaweed nodded slightly, evidently agreeing with the armored man’s strategy.
The man paused for a mont and continued, "All the traitors in the major forbidden areas want to kill Qin An, but now this chance has fallen to us."
"Once we kill Qin An, we can undoubtedly gain imnse rit. This ti, we must not rely pay lip service."
"Understood!" The many seaweed-entwined bizarre beings exchanged glances and nodded in agreent.
The scene in the mirror finally faded away.
Qin An turned his gaze to Yue Wushuang.
Yue Wushuang slowly opened her eyes, and her gaze towards Qin An was filled with a complex and indescribable look.
"Why do they want to kill you?" Yue Wushuang withdrew her gaze and asked.
She was sowhat puzzled.
Earlier, she had also seen the scene in the mirror, where the group of terrifying and extre natives ntioned the word ’traitor’ and seed determined to kill Qin An.
While Qin An was renowned along the Celestial Cloud Path, what connection did he have with these forbidden area natives?
Qin An rubbed his chin and said, "Lord Yue, it’s a secret. Even you don’t have the qualification to know. It’s for your own good, the more you know, the more dangerous it is."
Matters concerning the natives, Defenders, and traitors were perhaps only known to the Forbidden Land Golden Envoy. After all, even soone as famous as Yue Wushuang among the Forbidden Land Envoys didn’t know about the so-called traitors and Defenders.
Since those above didn’t want them to know, naturally, Qin An wouldn’t reveal the reason either.
Yue Wushuang pondered for a mont and nodded, "Alright, but we still need to find a way to resolve this. We should now head to Guyuan, inform him, and the various Forbidden Land Envoys about everything we’ve gathered. This intel is extrely valuable; it depends on how we use it."
Yue Wushuang never intended to withhold the information.
Finding information through this mirror was also to gain more rit by providing valuable intel.
Qin An nodded, "Alright, let’s go now."
Here are hundreds of Forbidden Land Envoys, each an extrely powerful existence; Qin An wouldn’t be foolish enough to fight alone.
Having resources available and not using them would indeed be foolish.
The two stopped speaking further and then headed towards where Guyuan was.
However, after they left, the affairs inside the palace were not yet concluded.
After all the bizarre beings clad in green robes assented, the man on the throne suddenly fell silent.
This silence made the surrounding aura enormously heavy, as if sothing terrifying was about to happen.
Those bizarre beings didn’t leave, all patiently prostrating themselves on the ground, awaiting the man’s next words.
The man opened his eyes and slowly said, "Among those who entered the Celestial Cloud Path this ti, soone has long beco a subordinate of the traitor lord."
"He will provide us with the movents of the Celestial Cloud Path’s Evil Extermination Bureau. It’s a piece I ticulously laid out, and now it seems, it can be used. I will contact this person, and at the critical mont, he might play a decisive role."
At these words, the bizarre beings exchanged glances with each other and rose again in agreent.
Then the man waved his arm, dismissing the others.
Soon, silence returned to the palace.
The armored man raised his hand and unleashed a stream of water, which ford a mirror-like shape in midair.
A mont later, a voice tinged with a hint of alarm erged from within.
"Dare you contact at this ti, aren’t you afraid those from the Evil Extermination Bureau will cause trouble? If I’m exposed, it’ll do neither good for you nor !"
The man smiled slightly: "Rest assured, since I’m contacting you, I naturally see a major use. Now, you need to do a favor, and once it’s done, we’ll owe each other nothing."
The voice in the mirror asked, "What do you want to do?"
The man said again, "Qin An has arrived at the Reincarnation Forbidden Area. You should know who he is, but you don’t need to know what he ans to ."
"What you need to do now is closely monitor the movents of the Evil Extermination Bureau and Qin An. After their decisive battle with the Demon Pseudo-Gods, report the situation at the scene to us."
The voice from the mirror fell silent, then soon replied through gritted teeth: "Fine."
After saying this, no more sound ca through.
The armored man swung his sleeve, and the water-ford mirror disappeared.
A confident smile played at the corners of his mouth.
Silence returned once more to the palace, as if no sound had ever been emitted.
...
At this mont, in a room, Guyuan was solemnly presiding over a eting.
All the gathered Forbidden Land Envoys had co, and apart from resting their gaze on Guyuan, many instinctively turned towards Qin An beside him.
Not long ago, Qin An and Yue Wushuang had found Guyuan and recounted everything they’d seen.
Upon hearing the news, Guyuan didn’t hesitate for a mont and quickly assembled everyone here for a eting.
Guyuan surveyed the surroundings and slowly said, "Everyone has heard what I said earlier and understands. Honestly, I didn’t expect the widely respected Mr. Qin in the Celestial Cloud Path to be involved in this mission. But since he’s here, we must devise a strategy since Mr. Qin is now in great danger."
No one questioned why, as Forbidden Land Envoys, results are what mattered.
Everyone understood that a solution needed to be devised. They needed to ensure Qin An’s safety while also achieving victory in this mission.
Qin An held Cold Star, contemplating as well.
Guyuan sipped his tea patiently, waiting.
Though he was the leader of this mission, he knew that collective wisdom was slightly better than solitary decision-making.
Ti steadily passed, and an incense stick’s worth of ti elapsed in the blink of an eye.
Just as everyone was still pondering the issue, a figure slowly stepped forward.
Nangong Xuan calmly said, "I wonder... could Mr. Qin serve as bait?"
