Theron stood to his full height on the back of the Dagger Call Platform. He looked from the kneeling figures one by one, then to Macie, who didn’t seem to have noticed the change. However, how long would that last?

It didn’t take a genius to know his situation was bad.

Kempe was pathetic; Theron wasn’t worried about him. He couldn’t even defeat Macie before she entered the Quasi Dome of Heaven Realm. Maybe that was because he was restricting his power so as not to expose himself too much, hoping this matter wouldn’t e back to bite him. But ultimately, he was no threat.

Theron, too, had only used a fraction of his power and still managed to easily overpower her.

The real problem was the Matriarch, and further beyond that, the entire Sect behind her.

If a Dome of Heaven Realm expert—whom the world naturally crowned as a noble—was willing to kneel to a Quasi Dome of Heaven expert, there was no doubt that what loyalty she had to whatever Macie was ran deep.

The question was... what was Macie exactly?

Clearly, it wasn’t just a matter of being a Nightingale, otherwise this respect would have been something the Matriarch extended toward Theron as well.

Theron’s gaze flickered as Macie went from seeing red to being no less confused than him. There was something that changed in the air when a Dome of Heaven Realm expert bowed to you.

A noble as recognized by the Heavens showing humility to you practically bestowed you with a great amount of power. It wasn’t a real, tangible power, but it was a subtle underbelly of confidence that made one’s Mana flow smoother.

By this point, the motion had brought over a large number of disciples and elders. The number of spectators easily matched the numbers of those participating in the gallery.

Very few of them understood what was happening, but one thing was clear enough.

Theron had suddenly bee the enemy of them all.

Second Elder Ilzan’s gaze flickered with a plex light, but he was the fastest of them all to react. Since his Matriarch was kneeling, who was he not to?

When he acted, the others followed suit—First Grand Elder Milone, then the other elders one after another.

Lyrah could only follow along. She was no match for a Dome of Heaven expert, and her relationship with Theron was far too shallow to stick her neck out.

She wouldn’t personally kill Theron because he held her daughter’s heart, but that didn’t mean she would put her life in jeopardy. If she died, who would protect Lyra?

The atmosphere fell into a deathly silence. The only sound for miles seemed to be Macie’s heavy breathing.

Slowly, her confusion became something different. It faded, a staunch coldness taking form. Her back almost subconsciously straightened, the rouge of her lips and eyes being even deeper as though drizzled with her own blood.

A crown of foggy silvery grey appeared above her head, radiating a deathly chill as though the halo of a Demon.

She reached out a hand toward the Dagger Call Platform, and the chains rattled. However, she ultimately failed to pull away pletely.

With a snarl, she gave up, flipping a hand to reveal her original spear once again.

She wanted Theron’s head, and she wanted to take it herself.

The moment she returned to the weapon she was most used to, her aura changed, and Theron felt a greater sharpness from her. He briefly considered whether his assessment of Kempe had been too harsh. This was, after all, the weapon she was using originally. However, he didn’t have the time to make a proper conclusion.

The situation was changing too fast, and suddenly he found himself the enemy of not just one or two individuals, but instead an entire Sect.

Theron looked down at the blades in his hands, his breathing calming to such a subtle crawl it felt like even time itself was slowing.

It seemed that the matters here wouldn’t be ending so simply.

His mind went blank, and all he could see for a moment was a sea of white.

A wind kicked up around him, his hair and his father’s necklace dancing.

His Third Eye bloomed into the world, and for a moment it felt like the veil of a god had fallen over the entire Sect.

Since they weren’t going to let him out, he was just going to have to kill his way out.

Theron took a step, landing on the edge of the Dagger Call Platform.

It flipped, spinning in the air like a rotating coin.

Dark and Water Mana exploded to life around him, his Cores roaring as large swaths of Mana were bent to his will.

BANG!

The Dagger Call Platform slammed into the ground, kicking up a large amount of dust. In that instant, it felt like soil, ice, and harsh mists were spread into the entire region.

The cultivators deployed their Third Eyes immediately, only to find themselves bitten by frost instantly.

The number of fallen souls that Macie had brought here had plummeted the temperatures, creating an environment little worse than the Forest of Ice. In fact, with the heavy death in the air, it was even worse.

Deploying your Third Eye didn’t just mean you were risking your soul being frozen pletely through—it would eat at your very lifespan itself.

[Shadow Step].

Theron pletely vanished, not fighting a battle with Macie, but instead erupting into the sea of disciples.

He moved like a shadow, his blades flickering out once for every figure he came across.

CLANG!

Second Elder Ilzan just barely managed to block with a sword he pulled from a spatial ring, but even so, he was sent sprawling into the ground.

The others weren’t nearly so lucky, one head after another flying into the skies.

Theron was a plete madman. He didn’t wait for them to use their cards.

If they wanted him to battle the entire Sect—

He would do exactly that.
