"I will be at the base," Azazel said, his tone steady despite the tension beneath it.

Denovan gave a short nod, his expression unreadable.

Later that evening, the mansion felt unusually still.

Julie sat in the parlour with Lisa and Denovan, her hands resting quietly in her lap.

The silence in the room wasn’t ordinary it was heavy, pressing down on everything.

Even the maids moved softly, as if afraid that any sudden sound might shatter what little calm remained.

"I’ll make so tea for us," Julie said gently, rising to her feet.

Her voice was soft, but it carried just enough to break the silence.

Lisa looked at her and forced a small, warm smile. "Of course, my dear. We’ll enjoy it together."

Julie returned a faint smile and turned toward the kitchen.

"I’ll join you shortly," Lisa added.

Julie nodded before walking away, her steps light but slightly slower than usual.

The mont she disappeared from sight, Lisa’s expression dropped.

"I hope we find him soon," she said quietly, her voice heavy with concern. "The girl has already lost weight since she heard about Roman’s disappearance."

Denovan exhaled slowly but said nothing, his gaze fixed ahead.

"But you still let her go to the kitchen?" he asked after a mont.

Lisa nodded. "Yes. She needs sothing to do... sothing to distract her mind, even if it’s just for a little while."

Denovan gave a small nod.

"Any news?" Lisa asked.

He shook his head. "None."

Lisa sighed softly before rising to her feet and heading toward the kitchen.

The faint scent of tea leaves filled the air as she stepped inside.

"My dear, the scent is already wafting nicely," Lisa said with a soft smile, her eyes warming slightly at the sight of Julie standing by the stove.

Julie turned slightly, about to respond.

But then it ca.

A faint wave of unease settled in her stomach. It wasn’t painful. Just... wrong.

Her body stilled.

The feeling curled slowly, like sothing shifting out of place deep inside her.

She swallowed unconsciously, her throat tightening as if trying to push the sensation down before it could rise further.

Her fingers twitched slightly at her side.

Her breath slowed.

Another wave followed soft, but persistent and Julie pressed her lips together, shifting her weight subtly as if that alone might steady her, but the discomfort lingered, quiet and stubborn.

Lisa’s smile slowly faltered.

She stepped closer, her brows knitting with concern.

"Are you alright, love?" she asked, her voice gentle but urgent.

Julie swallowed again, forcing a small nod.

But before she could speak, the uneasiness in her stomach twisted sharply and a sudden ache blood behind her temples.

Her eyes shut tightly.

"I... I just have a headache," she managed to say, her voice low and strained, her chest rising and falling unevenly.

Lisa’s expression changed imdiately.

"Did you sleep well last night?" she asked, her hand already reaching for Julie’s waist.

"Yes... I did," Julie replied softly, though her voice lacked strength.

"Co," Lisa said gently. "Let take you to the sofa."

She guided her carefully out of the kitchen, one arm steady around her waist.

The mont they entered the living room, Denovan stood up.

"What’s wrong?" he asked, his voice firm, his eyes already scanning Julie’s pale face.

"It’s nothing serious," Lisa replied quickly. "Just a headache."

She helped Julie sit down on the sofa, lowering her gently against the cushions.

"Rose!" Lisa called, her voice rising.

"Yes, ma-" the maid began, hurrying in.

"Bring the dicine from the fridge."

"Right away, ma’am."

"And hurry," Lisa added. "She’s in pain."

Rose rushed off, her footsteps quick against the floor.

Lisa turned back to Julie, taking her hand and holding it gently.

"Calm down, my dear. Everything will be alright," she said softly.

"Should we call a doctor?" Denovan asked.

Lisa shook her head. "Let’s see first."

Monts later, Rose returned, slightly breathless, holding the dicine box.

"Give it to ," Lisa said, taking it from her.

"Water!" she added.

"Yes, ma’am."

Rose hurried back to the kitchen

Only to freeze for a split second.

"Oh God..." she whispered under her breath.

The faint sll of nearly burnt tea lingered in the air.

The pot sat on the stove, the remaining liquid reduced to a thin layer at the bottom.

She quickly turned off the stove, her hand moving fast, then grabbed a glass and filled it with water before rushing back.

"Here," she said, placing it carefully on the table.

Lisa took the glass and turned to Julie.

"Here, my dear. Take this."

Julie nodded faintly, her fingers slightly trembling as she took the pills.

She placed them in her mouth and swallowed the water quickly, her throat moving with effort.

"Thank you," she murmured.

Lisa helped her lean back slightly.

"Let’s take you to your room," she said, beginning to rise.

"Wait," Denovan said.

He stepped forward and crouched in front of Julie, taking her hand in his.

"My dear," he said gently, his voice softer now, "don’t let worry consu you. We will find Roman."

Julie’s eyes lifted slightly to et his.

"You don’t have to exhaust yourself like this," he continued. "You know him... if he saw you like this, he wouldn’t like it at all."

A small sound escaped her lips.

"Hm..."

"So," he added with a faint smile, "when you get to your room, don’t think about him. Just sleep. You can even snore if you want."

Lisa let out a soft laugh.

Julie gave a weak chuckle, the tension in her face easing just a little.

"Okay... I’ll try," she said quietly.

Denovan stepped aside, and Lisa helped her up gently, supporting her as they made their way toward the stairs.

Lisa stepped closer, slipping an arm gently around Julie’s waist to steady her.

"Careful, my dear..." she murmured softly.

As Julie leaned slightly into her, Lisa paused for the briefest second.

Her eyes dropped just for a mont.

The girl’s body felt... different.

Not exactly weak.

But-

Lisa’s brows drew together faintly.

Julie swallowed again, her hand brushing lightly over her lower stomach without even realizing it.

That small, unconscious movent didn’t go unnoticed.

Lisa’s gaze lingered a second longer.

"...Julie?" she called softly, her tone shifting just slightly.
