"Heh, stay away. Don’t co closer," Julie said, her voice playfully warning, but Roman acted as if he didn’t hear her.

He kept advancing, hands in the air, motioning like he was about to grab a delicious treat.

"Let’s get you ready," Roman said with a grin, and Julie, who couldn’t take it anymore, stepped backward, tilting her head side to side, trying to dodge him.

"Don’t co closer, Roman," Julie repeated, her voice louder now, but Roman closed the distance with mischief in his eyes.

In a swift move, she jumped to the other side of the bed.

Roman fell onto the mattress with a burst of laughter, chuckling at himself and his antics.

He watched as Julie dashed into the bathroom and shut the door quickly behind her.

"I’ll catch you soday!" Roman called after her, amusent dancing in his voice.

Inside the bathroom, Julie giggled quietly before walking further in. The warm water of the shower helped ease the fluster on her face.

When she finished, she stepped out, blinking at her reflection before shaking her head with a small sigh.

"Now let’s be bold. I have to do this," she said in her mind. She reached for the towel, but then her eyes caught sothing beside it, and she smiled.

Without a second thought, she let go of the towel and instead grabbed the bathrobe.

She quickly tied it securely around herself.

Slowly, she opened the bathroom door. The air outside was cooler, and she could sense Roman’s presence without even turning to look.

He was sitting on the couch, and though her heart raced, she didn’t dare glance his way.

She quickly crossed the room and slipped into the changing room, closing the door behind her.

Julie carefully selected her outfit: a sweet black pair of pants, a blood-red long-sleeve top, and a knee-length ash coat. She completed the look with black boots.

Taking one last look in the mirror, she stepped out with a sweet smile on her face.

And there he was—the sweet devil.

"You look beautiful," Roman complinted as if it had beco his daily ritual.

Julie blinked. "Why do you always complint ?"

Roman smiled but didn’t answer imdiately. After a thoughtful pause, he finally spoke.

"Because every ti you change your clothes, you beco more beautiful. It’s like you grow even more radiant."

Julie blushed slightly and whispered, "Thank you."

Roman smiled in return, his eyes never leaving her face.

After a peaceful breakfast together, the two made their way to the university Julie had transferred to.

It was one of the most prestigious universities in the country, and Roman smiled proudly as he parked in front of the gate.

"Here we are," he said.

Julie’s eyes sparkled. She looked around with wonder, a wide smile stretching across her lips.

"You like the university?" Roman asked, watching her reaction.

"More than you could ever imagine," she replied sincerely, turning to face him.

Roman nodded. "Alright then, I’ll take my leave unless you have anything else to say. I have a class by 9:00."

Julie glanced at the ti on her phone. "No, I think that’s all."

Just as she was about to open the car door, Roman suddenly pulled her back into his arms, engulfing her in a tight, warm embrace.

"I wish you all the good luck in the world," he whispered.

Julie’s smile widened as she returned the embrace. "And I wish you the sa, Roman."

He let go of her, and with one last smile, Julie exited the car.

Roman watched her until she disappeared into the crowd.

Only when he could no longer see her did he drive away, his face content but alert.

"Don’t leave her alone. And if anything happens to her—make sure the sa happens to you," Roman warned sternly over the phone, his voice low and cold with authority.

"Your word is an order," the person on the other end responded without hesitation.

Roman nodded once and hung up, his jaw tightening. He had given clear instructions: Julie was to be followed at all tis—but discreetly.

She must never know she was being watched. Not because he didn’t trust her, but because he didn’t trust the world around her.

Roman was fully aware of the enemies lurking in the shadows, waiting for a mont of weakness.

His life was a battlefield, and now that Julie was in it, she too had beco a target.

He wouldn’t allow harm to touch her—not if he could help it.

A rare smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he rembered their earlier monts—her laughter, the way she looked at him with unfiltered emotion.

For a brief second, his icy gaze lted, softened by affection.

But just as quickly, the warmth vanished, replaced again by the cold resolve that always cloaked his presence.

anwhile, at the university campus, Julie stepped through the gates with a deep breath.

She paused briefly, letting the atmosphere settle around her. The lively chatter of students, the rustle of pages, and the distant echo of footsteps surrounded her like a wave.

She adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder and walked confidently toward the lecture hall.

Unbeknownst to her, two n dressed in casual clothes trailed behind, blending in with the crowd.

They entered the hall with her and chose seats not too far away—watchful, alert, but invisible.

The lecture lasted for an hour, during which Julie took notes diligently, occasionally glancing at the lecturer with focused eyes.

When the class ended, she stood with graceful ease and walked out, heading in the direction of the library.

Inside the quiet library, she road the shelves and carefully selected one of the books she needed.

Finding an empty table near a window, she settled down and opened the book. The sunlight pouring in lit her face with a soft glow.

Just as she was about to turn the first page, she heard the chair beside her being gently pulled back.

She glanced up to see soone smiling sweetly at her.

"Hey," the person greeted warmly, taking the seat beside her.

"Hey," Julie replied politely, returning the smile before looking back at her book.

They both sat in companionable silence.

The stranger didn’t speak again, simply browsing through their own book while Julie continued reading.

Ti slipped by until the soft growl of her stomach reminded her of lunch.

She closed her book, stretched lightly, and turned her head—only to et the eyes of the sa person still sitting beside her.

"Are you heading to the cafeteria?" the person asked with a gentle smile.

Julie nodded. "You’re heading there too?" she asked curiously.

The person nodded again. "Yes, I thought I’d go now as well. Mind if I join you?"

Julie paused for a second before giving a slight smile. "Sure. Why not?"

Together, they stood and walked toward the cafeteria, unaware that two sets of eyes remained fixed on them from a distance.

"Myself, Bekora," the young man said with a friendly tone, offering a small smile as he walked beside Julie toward the cafeteria.

Julie gave him a nod of acknowledgnt but didn’t bother to introduce herself. However, he looked at her curiously and asked, "And you?"

"I’m Julie," she replied simply.

"Nice na, Julie," he said, slowly repeating it as though testing the feel of it on his tongue.

"Julie," he repeated once more, this ti with a slight grin.

"Thank you. Your na is also nice," Julie replied politely, though her voice was neutral.

As they neared the cafeteria entrance, Bekora glanced at her again. "By the way, from which departnt are you?" he asked casually.

Julie stopped for a mont and turned her head to look at him. Her brow arched slightly as suspicion flickered in her eyes.

"No offense," she said carefully, "but are you fishing for information about ?"

She had noticed the way he had followed her to the library, how he conveniently sat beside her in the lecture hall, and now the persistent questions—it was starting to feel like more than just coincidence.

Bekora laughed softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners with amusent.

"Haha, I guess it might seem that way," he admitted, brushing a hand through his hair. "But I promise I’m not trying to gather secret details or anything."

Julie remained silent, watching him with a asured gaze.

"You actually sat right beside earlier in the hall," he explained.

"I didn’t get a chance to say anything then, but I noticed you seed focused and serious. Kind of admirable, honestly."

Julie blinked, caught off guard by the unexpected complint.

"As for the departnt thing," he continued, his voice light and genuine, "today’s lecture was a general one—open to multiple faculties. So I couldn’t really tell where you’re from. That’s all. Care to tell ?"

He tilted his head slightly, offering a sweet, disarming smile that seed to hold no hidden agenda.

Keep following. Your comnts is my encouragent, thank you so much.
