"The girl," Miranda said quietly, her tone laced with disdain as she crossed her arms, eyes narrowing.
"This is the first ti I’m seeing her here. It’s like she just dropped out of the sky..."
"From your voice, I can tell you hate her," one of the girls nearby remarked, watching Miranda closely.
Miranda nodded with a long sigh. "I do. I don’t know what it is, but everything about her irritates ."
"Hmm... that sigh says it all," a deep male voice sounded from behind.
Miranda turned around, and her annoyed expression softened into a beautiful smile.
Standing just a few feet away was a tall guy with a cocky grin and a calculating gaze.
He always had a knack for showing up when drama brewed.
"So what are we going to do, then? Huh?" he asked, stepping closer to the group.
Miranda shook her head slowly, her fingers tightening around her arms. "I don’t know. But what I do know is—I want her to suffer."
She glanced away for a mont, clearly rembering sothing unpleasant.
Her jaw clenched, and a flash of pain crossed her face. "She made feel embarrassed. Humiliated. And the worst part is, she didn’t even do it directly. But sohow... sohow she beca the reason for the most shaful mont of my life."
The group fell silent for a beat, taking in her words. The tension in the air thickened.
"Then sothing definitely needs to be done," the guy said, voice firm, stepping behind her as if offering protection—or fuel to her fire.
Miranda didn’t respond right away. She just stared blankly ahead before nodding slowly.
"Yes," the other girl chid in, folding her arms with a smirk. "We have to do sothing. For you, my dear, we will also make her feel humiliated. If she made you feel like nothing, then we’ll make sure she feels even worse."
Miranda’s lips curled into a smile, but there was no warmth in it—only venom. Her eyes burned with hatred.
"Yes," she said again, her voice sharper this ti. "Now, what’s the plan?"
She looked at each of them with rising curiosity and anticipation, eyes scanning their faces as if begging for the cruelest idea they could co up with.
The group drew closer in a half-circle around her, whispering now.
Ideas started to spill from their lips—plans, setups, false accusations, things ant to damage reputations and shatter confidence.
Each one more malicious than the last. Miranda listened carefully, nodding slowly, calculating, her smile never fading.
There was no turning back now.
This wasn’t just about jealousy anymore. It was about revenge. About regaining control.
About showing everyone that Miranda couldn’t be mocked, challenged, or overshadowed—not by so new girl who "dropped out of the sky."
Sothing was coming.
And for the girl in question... it wouldn’t be pretty.
anwhile at RJ Corporation.
Inside the elegant CEO office, Roman stood in front of his desk, silent.
The space was bathed in soft light from the tall glass windows, the view outside offering a stunning skyline, but Roman’s thoughts were far from the city.
He sighed deeply, then turned and walked toward a section of the wall.
Mounted discreetly on that wall was a hidden keypad.
Roman stood before it, gazing at the glowing numbers for a mont. Then, without hesitation, he punched in a long password.
A soft beep followed, and with a low chanical click, a concealed door opened.
He stepped inside.
The door closed behind him silently, sealing him into a hidden room known only to a few.
It was spacious and tastefully furnished—at the center, a large round bed rested beneath a modern ceiling light.
There were two other doors: one led to a private bathroom, the other to a compact kitchen.
Roman walked over to the bed, his steps slow and steady.
He lowered himself onto the mattress and lay flat on his back, eyes fixed on the ceiling.
For a while, he said nothing—he just lay there in peace, letting his mind drift.
A smile slowly ford on his lips.
"I miss you, my dear," Roman whispered to no one but himself. His eyes glowed with warmth as mories of Julie flooded his mind. Her smile.
Her laugh. Even the way she frowned when sothing bothered her. The very thought of her was enough to bring light into his heart.
As he sank deeper into those thoughts, his eyelids began to flutter.
And within monts, his eyes closed, a soft breath escaping his lips as he drifted off to sleep—with Julie on his mind.
Two hours later...
Julie sat in one of the university lecture halls, jotting down notes in her book as the lecturer wrapped up the day’s topic.
Her brows furrowed in concentration as she scribbled quickly to catch up.
She was completely focused, unaware of the stares and glances from others who were slowly noticing her quiet presence more and more these days.
Thirty minutes later, the lecture ended. The lecturer exited the hall, and students began to file out.
Julie and Bekora walked out side by side, chatting quietly as they strolled down the corridor.
"So I guess we part ways here," Bekora said when they reached the fork in the path.
Julie nodded. "Yeah. Till tomorrow." She smiled politely and waved him off.
As she walked toward the university gate, her steps felt lighter. A soft smile touched her lips the mont she spotted sothing familiar.
Parked just outside was Roman’s car.
The sleek black vehicle glead under the fading sunlight, its body polished to perfection.
Her heart fluttered a little—just like it always did when she saw him waiting like that.
Hours earlier...
Before Roman had entered the hidden room to rest, he made sure to set an alarm.
He wasn’t planning to sleep for long—just enough to relax, but not so long that he would be late to pick up Julie.
So when the alarm rang exactly sixty minutes later, the sound echoed through the private room with a soft "Ring, ring."
Roman woke up instantly, already expecting it. He stretched once and smiled to himself.
He could have easily asked the driver or a guard to go pick her up.
It would have been faster, more convenient—but that wasn’t what he wanted. No, Roman wanted to do it himself.
Taking her to school and bringing her back wasn’t just a routine. It was sothing that brought them closer.
It reminded him that she was his responsibility—soone he wanted to protect and care for.
It wasn’t a burden to him. In fact, it made him content... happy.
Back in the present, Roman sat in the car, watching as Julie walked toward him.
The mont she opened the door and slid into the passenger seat, he didn’t waste a second.
He leaned over and wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace.
Julie’s eyes widened in surprise. She hadn’t expected that—especially not when she probably slled like sweat and the classroom.
She imdiately pushed him back, flustered.
Roman raised an eyebrow, but his expression remained gentle.
"What’s wrong, dear?" he asked softly, concerned.
Julie quickly shook her head. "Nothing," she murmured, avoiding his eyes as she reached for the seatbelt and strapped herself in.
Roman watched her with amusent. "If there’s nothing wrong," he said with a soft smile, "you wouldn’t have pushed away."
Most n would be disappointed if the woman they loved pushed them back. But not Roman.
Instead of frowning, he smiled. Deep down, he knew she must have had a reason.
And rather than get upset, he was simply curious to know what it was.
"You won’t tell ?" he asked playfully, letting out a low chuckle as he winked when she glanced at him briefly.
"Hmph," Julie humd in response and turned her gaze to the window, clearly avoiding the question.
Roman let out a quiet laugh and placed his hands on the wheel. "If you don’t want to tell , I won’t insist," he said warmly. "Let’s go ho."
Julie remained quiet for a mont, still staring out the window. Then, slowly, a smile spread across her lips.
A thought popped into her mind—one that made her cheeks flush just slightly.
She turned back toward him, blinking innocently.
"Let’s go ho then," she said softly.
Roman’s heart skipped. Her voice, that look—it was enough to lt any frustration he might’ve had.
"Your word is an order," Roman replied with a smirk, starting the car.
They drove in silence, but it wasn’t uncomfortable.
It was peaceful, the kind of quiet only two people deeply connected could share.
When they reached ho, Roman pulled into the driveway and imdiately jumped out.
He rushed around the car and opened the door for her with a bright smile.
"Now we’re back," he said cheerfully.
Julie stepped out and thanked him with a small nod before quickly heading inside, eager to follow through on the thought that had crossed her mind just monts ago.
