(Rose)

The world is ours anew.

Endless sky and abandoned roads on which little grass has yet grown.

Nothing has yet truly been abandoned. Others are starting where we left off.

n, won, beasts, plants, insects. The sceneries we go through are very far from being dead on every aspect.

From ti to ti, the shadow of an animal flees before us, or the shadow itself is the lifeform sotis.

And weird animals hard to describe sotis lurk.

I wonder how many humans are left on this island? There is no way to tell.

Blu is still true to herself. I’m true to my better self lately, confident.

My body slowly catches back to what I used to be able to do. Walking miles and miles, lifting a good backpack.

Eating and digesting distasteful als. Having my periods like it used to.

Having Blu in full bloom all over , snuggling onto and under my clothes like a pet.

Reassuring when I feel down and repeating to endlessly that she loves , no matter what. Literally no matter what happens.

What I did when my mind broke down is behind us. I’m slowly getting over it, along my other guilt, slowly.

Trying to embrace the new humanity we are, lacking morality, yet not void of kindness.

My hair regrows with its natural colour. The tips remain as white as snow.

I guess I’m a witch now.

R - Are you sure you can’t make us fly?

B - Well if you insist... I might. For a short ti. I could prepare enough energy to make us fly a short ti.

R - Wonderful! Please do.

B - I wonder why ogre made you fly?

R - I do too. Who knows? Her actions and speeches didn’t make much sense in the end... And I’m sure Licht had followed us for a longer ti than what she admitted to, if she was able to save on ti.

B - I guess she was curious and also didn’t wanted you to die.

R - Probably... We truly et curious ones... Such peculiar beings all of them, and us too.

B - That’s why I love you.

I chuckle. We’ll et new ones surely soday.

We cross fields that still look as if soone tended to them. The farm however, the house, is in ruins and sinking in a new born swamp.

I think the only horses left on the island are the ones which ca along with in this new world, because I haven’t seen any stable since. People of the ti before us didn’t seem to use horses as much as in my older tis I guess.

I gather dry wood and pile it up. Blu stretches a flowery vine and touches a log. Heat is focused by her touch and the log begins to shiver and turn dark. It creaks and then catches fire suddenly.

We’ll spend a night here in the middle of nowhere, or slightly south east of it.

I rember bits of tales and legends and wonder about which could have beco true to life.

R - Blu, can you create light?

B - What kind of light?

R - As if night hadn’t fallen.

B - For a second or two perhaps yes... Isn’t it narcissistic to be so infatuated with soone who is so much like you? You’ve only spoken about her lately.

R - Oh, are you jealous, little flower?

I laugh. I got her this ti. She’s right though!

R - It was sudden and as if she had been the one suddenly falling from the sky to . She left a very strong impression on and reminded of what I want to be, how I want to be, in many ways. It’s as if I had spent a little ti with my mother too. It felt reassuring and nostalgic as well so.

B - Hm... I can’t say returning where I co from felt as good. The less I see that void the better I’ll feel. I much rather stay with you.

R - Don’t worry about Licht. She has her own life and journey. I admire her it’s true. There isn’t much more to it. Co, let’s sleep now.

I hide in the small tent. I soon fall asleep with her.

I’m eager to see tomorrow and the rest of the world with Blu.

~

Morning cos. A quiet wind flows around. Blu greets kindly as usual. I scratch my belly and rise. I yawn and stretch a little.

I heat what I find. Blu makes her roots leave the soil she had pierced last night. She eats a little this way when I sleep now.

It’s a new thod she’s picked up to help our body a little. I can’t feel the difference honestly.

Soon enough I’ve packed up, refreshed my clothes and tied my hair. We then leave.

The road is always similar to itself on each step I make, yet always a little different. It evolves as we go, the scenery evolves all day long.

We et no one and nothing extraordinary for days. For weeks even.

We therefore peacefully return to the entrance of the Queen’s tunnel.

So butterflies wander around at day around us. They’re bright yellow. They’re curious, and follow us for a while.

They try to eat inside Blu’s flowers her potential nectar I think. This makes laugh greatly. Blu is fighting them off at first, but the butterflies gather up and beco a swarm around us and my chest. They tickle and I’m laughing. Blu is moving around, trying to escape their greedy trumps, pointlessly.

Finally, she gives up and let them eat what is the equivalent of her sweat it seems. I keep laughing to the tears as we walk, leaving behind us a growing trail of well-fed yellow butterflies.

R - Could you make so syrup too? It seed good.

B - Not you too!

And I laugh.

The endless road unveils itself to us every morning we rise on this land.

Soon, this particular road, a railroad, will reach its end.

Soon, our journey on this large island that once was my motherland, my country, will reach its conclusion.

England has always been good to .

Days and nights pass. We reach our goal.

At the end of this clear road, finally appears the dark entrance of a cave or tunnel, filled with uncertainties.

A shady and long doorway to another world... This tunnel should have had giant statues and monunts to the glory of its achievent. It just lies there ekly, and the road goes on...

As we shall!
