Leaping onto the windowsill, Tang Xiaoquan slowly stood up with the help of the steel bars on the external unit's railing, then used the top of the air conditioner's external unit to climb up.

"Whew~" He let out a long breath. Climbing with the attention of the zombie horde was much harder than imagined, requiring several tis the usual physical exertion and imnse psychological pressure.

His arms were aching and numb, his sweat flowing down like a stream. Instinctively, Tang Xiaoquan glanced behind him, imdiately inhaling a sharp breath of cold air.

Stay calm! Stay calm! He silently urged himself to maintain composure. Tang Xiaoquan knew it wasn't the ti for shock or fear.

After slightly adjusting his mindset, he began climbing up the wall.

By eye estimation, Tang Xiaoquan figured he was less than 1.2 to 1.3 ters away from the rooftop, but even so, climbing up was still difficult for him at this mont.

No matter how hard it was, he didn't have the ti to think about it because his brothers inside were in extre and dangerous situations.

Drawing a deep breath with all his strength, using the montum, Tang Xiaoquan's eyes suddenly widened, and two beams of golden light shot out.

As he exerted force with his feet, the steel fra of the external unit let out a "mournful wail!"

"Buzz~" His clothes gently fluttered. As his body was about to drop, Tang Xiaoquan quickly lifted his leg, hooking it onto the wall, then spun his body to safely land on the rooftop.

It was a psychological process difficult to articulate. Tang Xiaoquan felt like he had just taken a detour to the Ghost Gate in those few minutes. But thankfully, today wasn't his doom day, so he was lucky to return!

With both hands on the wall, ghastly and nacing blue veins surfaced, trembling slightly, showing that Tang Xiaoquan had exerted himself to the fullest. His heaving chest further evidenced his tension and fright.

"Clang clang clang!" The iron railing was almost knocked down by the zombie horde, and the violent noise suddenly brought Tang Xiaoquan back to his senses on the rooftop.

He instinctively raised his head, seeing the zombies extending their arms, thrashing at the barriers like prisoners longing to break free from years of captivity.

Tang Xiaoquan had no doubt about their abilities. He believed that as long as these creatures wanted to, the railing, more decorative than protective, couldn't stop them. So...

Darting to the ledge, Tang Xiaoquan called out with all his strength: "Qiangzi, Brother Wang, I made it up here, hurry up!"

Without turning back, Wang Qiang tightly grasped the Snake Spear across his chest, eyes fixed ahead, focusing entirely on the hole dug by the Corpse Dog. He instinctively said, "Brother Wang, you go first!"

Wang Daguo, slightly stunned, was equally nervous. Objectively speaking, he lacked extensive combat experience with zombies. Even during the previous shelter raid, he fought with everyone's help, making his current fear understandable.

So...

"Oh? Oh," Wang Daguo hesitated slightly. Possibly feeling it's wrong to leave while being older than Wang Qiang, it seed improper to leave a junior to fend off while he escaped both emotionally and logically...

However, as a chilling howl erupted from outside the door, Wang Daguo's last bit of hesitation vanished.

There's nothing left to consider. Is face important? Not at all; is morality crucial? Irrelevant; is age? That's nonsense;

So what's truly crucial? Life! Each person has only one life! At least for Wang Daguo at that mont, nothing was more important than his life!

Sprinting to the window, Wang Daguo jumped onto the windowsill.

Admittedly, Wang Daguo might have been timid with zombies, but his skills in climbing were not to be underestimated.

Thanks to years of farm work, Wang Daguo's physique was robust. Without much trouble, he climbed to the rooftop.

"Brother Wang?" Tang Xiaoquan was slightly stunned seeing the figure. Clearly, he didn't expect Wang Daguo to be the first one up.

How could it be him?, what about Wang Qiang?

With questions in mind, Tang Xiaoquan's face darkened, but he quickly realized his lapse and adjusted, saying, "Brother Wang, is Wang Qiang still down there?"

Wang Daguo's face showed a slight blush of embarrassnt. Having escaped danger, he regained composure, yet his conscience haunted him with guilt: "He, he's still downstairs, he, he told ... to go up first!"

As he finished, Wang Daguo's voice beca nearly inaudible.

Not having ti to bla the other's selfishness, Tang Xiaoquan urgently shouted again: "Qiangzi! Hurry up! We're safe!"

His voice pierced through the air like an arrow, reaching Wang Qiang's ears.

This was a critical life or death mont. Even a second's pause could determine life or death.

The hole had expanded, and the Zombie Dog's head could freely enter. As its sharp yellowed teeth appeared in Wang Qiang's sight, his hands holding the spear involuntarily trembled.

Zombies, Wang Qiang had killed before; he had faced many deadly situations.

But now, facing such a mutated creature, he felt an unprecedented sense of helplessness!

He knew there was no way to defeat it, leading him to the correct judgnt unconsciously.

The next mont, his tense brain sent a "run" signal to his body.

Terror-stricken, he stepped back two steps, then turned and jumped out the window.

"Spear, catch it!" Raising the Snake Spear over his head, Wang Qiang didn't drop his weapon in panic.

Previous similar encounters had ingrained this instinct in his body.

However... the situation was extrely dangerous, so Wang Qiang's seemingly simple action pushed him into an irreversible life or death crisis.

"Crack, crack!" Accompanied by the sound of breaking fragnts, the Zombie Dog forcefully squeezed through the hole large enough only for its head.

What a terrifying sight! Imagining the pain of flesh scraping against boards, yet the Zombie Dog seed unfazed!

Rising slowly, its shape growled low, its sharp front paws agitating against the floor.

Without a doubt, it was about to attack!!
