"Thank you!" The young man expressed his gratitude, feeling this was the most satisfying and filling al he had had in a long ti, except it was too little.

Liu Fugui just smiled and then picked out a teacup, poured a cup of tea for the young man, and said, "Here, brother, have so water to soothe your throat."

"Thank you!" The young man expressed his gratitude again.

"Can you tell why you were so agitated just now?" After so preparation and reassurance, Liu Fugui felt that the young man had cald down from his initial panic, and he thought it was ti to ask his question.

"Well..." Upon hearing this, the young man looked at the teacup in his hand, hesitant to speak.

"Hey, kid, our boss Liu has shown you a lot of respect, don't be ungrateful!" Seeing the young man remain silent for a long ti, Huang Yong couldn't stand it anymore. He didn't want the young man's inappropriate actions to anger Liu Fugui, who was his guest. If Liu Fugui got offended, he might also end up in trouble, so he snapped at the young man.

But who would have thought that Huang Yong's words would imdiately attract Liu Fugui's reprimand: "Huang Yong! You forgot what I just said so quickly? I said that anyone who cos to our Factory is a guest. From now on, I don't want to repeat the sa words. Understand?"

No wonder Liu Fugui was angry. He had been patient, calming the young man for so long and finally stabilizing his emotions. But now Huang Yong's shout had disrupted everything.

However, seeing the young man avoid eye contact and hesitating to respond, Liu Fugui felt more certain about his judgnt: this person surely had so unspeakable secrets.

To dispel the young man's concerns, Liu Fugui imdiately changed his strategy, saying: "Young man, don't misunderstand. I'm not purposely trying to pry into your affairs. It's just that we received information long ago about a refuge at the JZ County sports stadium. We've tried to contact them, but unfortunately, there's been no response, so when we learned you were from JZ County, we thought you might know sothing about it. Of course, if not, that's okay."

Liu Fugui behaved quite calmly, showing no trace of pretense.

And the young man, upon hearing Liu Fugui ntion their contact with the sports stadium refuge, had a clear trace of panic in his eyes.

This subtle movent did not escape Liu Fugui's keen observation, making him even more convinced that the young man surely had a connection with the refuge. Even if not directly involved, he definitely knew so inside information.

But how to dispel his concerns and successfully get him to talk was a matter that required so critical thinking.

The young man still remained silent, and seeing this, Liu Fugui didn't rush. He got up, clapped his hands:

"Alright, since brother doesn't want to talk, I won't force you! You've just arrived and had a tiring journey, so Huang Yong, take our young brother to a room to rest. Rember, treat him well! If anyone dares to neglect him, don't bla for using my authority!"

With that, Liu Fugui subtly exchanged a look with Huang Yong, making his intention clear: the young man was important, and must be well taken care of!

"Alright! Brother, just go with them and make yourself at ho. If they give you any trouble, tell , and I'll deal with them!" Liu Fugui patted the young man's shoulder, signaling everyone to leave.

At this mont, Huang Yong was utterly confused. He couldn't understand the reasoning behind Liu Fugui's actions. To him, this frail young man was good for feeding the zombies, utterly useless, yet Liu Fugui valued him so highly.

But since Liu Fugui gave the order, even if this young man were just a dog, he must be taken care of properly.

Following instructions, Huang Yong arranged a rather comfortable single room as the young man's living quarters.

It's worth noting that not everyone gets to enjoy such luxury; aside from Cheng Fugui and his son, only people like Huang Yong and He Lei with status and position could live there.

Watching the refugee timidly walk into the room, Huang Yong's two subordinates exchanged a discontented look, clearly unsatisfied.

They worked tirelessly every day guarding the Factory, only to squeeze into the employee dormitory at the end of the day.

But this "fool" arrived, didn't do any work or make any contribution, yet was given a single room. How could they possibly accept this?

However, despite their dissatisfaction, they had no right to object. No matter the discontent, they had to swallow it.

Because once any "unusual movents or dissatisfaction" were discovered by higher-ups, they'd face punishnt or be kicked out of the warehouse.

This was a consequence they couldn't afford. Considering the situation on the streets, as observed from days of search missions, one shouldn't risk losing their relatively comfortable life for a room.

Huang Yong then arranged for his subordinates to find so clothes for the young man and ordered hot water to be brought over, which was clearly what the young man needed most.

If he didn't freshen up soon, the whole building would be perated with his unique "fragrance."

Before leaving, Huang Yong left one subordinate outside the door to be at the young man's disposal—a setup almost equivalent to five-star treatnt, even rivaling Liu Yunpeng's accommodations.

Yet, the young man continued to obediently lower his head, listening to Huang Yong's arrangents, rely responding without contributing any conversation. No matter what Huang Yong questioned about his needs, he shook and waved his hands to indicate none.

With that, Huang Yong didn't bother talking further. Since the other party didn't speak, he wasn't interested in pondering. After setting up basic living arrangents, Huang Yong left.

He had no intention of lingering around the stupid-slling, foul creature, essentially turning him into a caretaker and subjecting himself to ridicule from his subordinates.

Once Zhou Yu left, the young man collapsed weakly on the edge of the bed, motionless for so ti.

The events of today for him were truly a mix of extres. Having not secured food for days, he was driven by unbearable hunger.

Seeking food early in the morning, he unexpectedly ran into Huang Yong's dispatched supply team and ended up being captured.

Consequently, he suffered curses and beatings until reaching the Factory and eting the middle-aged man addressed as Boss Liu, where his fate took a turn.

Now, not only did he get hot chicken soup noodles, but he was also given such a top-notch room, everything seed surreal.

It's easy to imagine how complex the young man's feelings were at this mont. (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to vote for recomndations and monthly tickets at qidian. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian to read.)
