Huang Yong barely entered a light sleep until the early hours last night, and this situation has been going on for over three days. The main reason for this insomnia is the frequent private etings between He Lei and Liu Yunpeng. It’s obvious that these two have sothing against him, so it’s highly likely they’re secretly planning so shady business.
If it wasn’t for Li Huiru’s incident before this, he wouldn’t have cared about either of them.
But things are different now. Let’s not even talk about that useless Liu Yunpeng; with his skills, it’s unlikely he can cause much trouble.
But now with He Lei involved, things have beco complicated.
If Liu Yunpeng unveils everything about Li Huiru’s issue to He Lei, it’s hard to say whether the latter would pick up on sothing, especially with his network within the group... things are getting more complicated.
It’s precisely these thoughts that have made Huang Yong a bit anxious recently. Frankly, this matter is far from being as simple as it seems on the surface, and Li Huiru’s incident is like a ticking ti bomb buried beside him.
Even if he’s not the mastermind, and everything was done under Liu Fugui’s instructions.
But imagine if Liu Yunpeng discovers the truth? Wouldn’t Liu Fugui, for the sake of family ties, ruthlessly strike against him?
Only dead n tell no tales, and Liu Fugui’s heart is by no ans as gentle as it appears. Moreover, he’s repeatedly warned not to disclose even a bit of information about this matter.
But is there anything in this world that’s completely watertight? If soone digs deep enough, over ti, signs are sure to appear.
So, to eliminate worries, the only solution is to make all the subordinates involved in this matter disappear.
But would Liu Fugui allow and tolerate him doing this? The forr has always been troubled by the manpower shortage in the Factory.
This tangled matter has turned Huang Yong’s mindset into a ss, and the direct result is his temper becoming explosive, most strongly felt by his subordinates.
In the past few days, whenever soone made a mistake, he would either curse them harshly or directly resort to physical violence.
This has made everyone under him walk on eggshells, suffering greatly.
So even started jokingly calling him He Lei the Second. It’s not hard to see the influence He Lei and Liu Yunpeng have had on Huang Yong.
The subordinate knocking on the door was none other than the guard who had initially questioned Liu Yunpeng with a flashlight. When Liu Yunpeng returned again and got into the BMW, he realized sothing was amiss.
So after discussing with his partner, he ca upstairs to report.
"Like a duck being driven onto a perch" is a phrase that couldn’t be more fitting for this subordinate. Huang Yong’s recent changes are evident, and coming to knock at this ti, he would inevitably be scolded, or worse, beaten up.
But Liu Yunpeng’s strange actions forced him to. The only one left to bla is himself for losing three to one in a rock-paper-scissors ga with his partner over who would take this task.
After three knocks, the subordinate gasped heavily, anxiously awaiting the response from inside the room.
Everyone, more or less, has experienced this—after long periods of tossing and turning sleeplessly, finally entering a half-asleep state, only to be jolted awake by sudden noise. At that ti, you feel like tearing apart whoever caused the disturbance.
Standing outside the door, the subordinate suddenly felt a gust of wind hit his face. He instinctively squinted, and when he reopened his eyes, Huang Yong’s towering figure was right at the door.
"What the hell do you think the ti is now? Let’s see what the hell you’re doing here. This better be important, or don’t bla for tossing you into the Zombies!"
"Yong... Yong Ge... It’s the young... young master, he..." The subordinate stamred in fear, unable to speak clearly. He had no doubt Huang Yong would toss him out to feed the Zombies. Such things have happened frequently since the apocalypse began. A month ago, Huang Yong would take a Survivor out almost every day to serve the Zombies, so as to distance them from the Factory.
Young master? As soon as he heard these two words, Huang Yong’s sowhat groggy mind imdiately beca clear. Intuition told him sothing must have happened, and disregarding formalities, he directly called out his na: "What’s wrong with Liu Yunpeng?"
"He... he..."
"Smack!" A slap sound, and Huang Yong’s slap made the subordinate see stars, his eyes spinning: "If you stutter again, I’ll beat the crap out of you. Tell , what’s wrong with Liu Yunpeng?"
The subordinate clutched his burning cheek and quickly answered with grievance and fear: "The young master forced his way out of the Factory early in the morning!"
"What!" Huang Yong grabbed the subordinate’s collar and lifted him up: "What the hell are you saying? Liu Yunpeng left the Factory?"
"Yes... yes, Yong Ge!" The subordinate’s neck hurt from being choked, and speaking was difficult.
"Didn’t I tell you guys to notify imdiately if anyone left the Factory? Do you think my words are just hot air?"
"No, no, no, Yong Ge, this..." The subordinate stamred, unsure how to respond. He was truly aggrieved, honestly. The fact that Liu Yunpeng left the Factory, at worst, he was only responsible for not reporting it promptly.
The main responsibility lies with those two gate Guards. But with Huang Yong in a rage now, he dared not speak up to defend himself.
"Bunch of useless morons." Huang Yong exerted force and threw the subordinate out, the latter stood unsteady when landing and stumbled before falling to the ground.
Huang Yong didn’t even bother to throw on a coat against the cold, hastily ran downstairs in just his shirt and cloth slippers.
The two Guards at the gate were flustered like ants on a hot pan, arguing over whether to notify Huang Yong imdiately. One felt that since it had already happened, they shouldn’t inform him rashly without a good excuse, or there’d be hell to pay.
The other thought they should take asures imdiately since Liu Yunpeng had just left; maybe they could de-escalate the situation, otherwise, if sothing happened to him, they’d be dragged out to feed the Zombies.
Just as the two were quarreling heatedly, a loud shout erupted from behind them: "Damn it, you two bastards have so nerve! How dare you let Liu Yunpeng leave the Factory!" (To be continued.
