Ryan had finally escaped the city along with Beatrice.
The stormy rain had forced them to seek shelter on a lonely mountain.
Right inside a cave.
Now that their clothes were soaked.
Both of them had their upper bodies uncovered.
And they were trying to dry themselves next to the fire from Ryan’s skill.
"Don’t keep staring at so much," Beatrice said, while keeping her hand over her chest to cover her nipples.
"I already thought so when I first t you, but you are very beautiful," Ryan comnted with a slight smile.
"What are you saying? People don’t usually call demons things like that. And it’s embarrassing."
Ryan drew close to her and placed his hand on her wrist, slowly moving away the hand that covered her chest.
She didn’t say a word, nor did she stop him; she simply limited herself to watching.
Ryan was bedazzled; the shape of her breasts was perfect, and her small nipples stood out, hardened by the cold.
But then he turned to look at her blushing face.
’She really does look like a human, except for the horns and those intense violet eyes. But there are many types of demons; the ones I’ve faced so far haven’t all been similar in appearance. So, I wonder what the reason for that is.’
"W-what is it? Suddenly you’re not saying anything." She stared at him.
"Beatrice, then... Did you really enter the dungeon?"
"That’s right, I hadn’t been able to give you an answer to that yet."
She leaned back against Ryan’s body.
Then she began to speak, her eyes fixed on the fire wall.
"After we parted ways on the demon continent, as I told you, I went to report to the Demon King. But on the way, in a nearby city, I found Lord Solaris’s group. He was having a eting with the Demon Queen, Ophelia."
’A demon queen?’
Beatrice continued speaking.
"When I saw him, I wanted to speak to him in private, but he made tell him everything in front of the Demon Queen. Then he said he couldn’t investigate because they were going to seal a dungeon that had appeared. On the other hand, the Demon Queen was more interested in returning to her own lands..."
She paused.
"So at that mont, Lord Solaris recruited as a scout. At first I refused because I wanted to take my brother to a safe place, but Lord Solaris insisted and asked Ophelia as a favor to look after my brother. He did that because after that eting and sealing the dungeon, we were supposed to go to the Demon Queen’s lands."
"So they have so kind of alliance with her?" Ryan asked with curiosity.
"No, well, not yet. They had that eting for that reason, but they haven’t established any agreent. Though they might."
Ryan looked at her more closely.
"But then, what was your role in that dungeon raid?"
She turned toward him and looked him straight in the eyes.
"My main role was to be an observer. To watch who entered the dungeon, how many groups, and their ranks. To determine their strength. And to help them prepare the traps."
She paused.
"And after that, to kill everyone I could. Those were Lord Solaris’s orders."
Then she took Ryan’s face in her hand.
"But while I was investigating all that, I also found out that a peculiar group of Heroes would be coming to the dungeon. The group of heroes involved in the rescue of the viscount’s son from these lands. How ironic, isn’t it?"
"So the demons really were prepared to receive more S-rank heroes?"
"Yes, and that’s because Lord Solaris’s older brother was also there."
"Lighter, right?"
"Did you see him?"
"No, it seems the heroines sent him back to the demon continent with teleportation stones."
"Well, that was a stroke of luck for you all..."
"But then, where were you?" Ryan asked her.
"I refused to participate in the mission once I knew you were coming..." She lowered her gaze, blushing.
"So, the one who gravely wounded you was Solaris?"
"Yes. I thought I would die. Luckily I had a minor regeneration potion, but it only healed a little because the damage was fatal. Then I lost consciousness, and by the ti I ca to, I was already chained and imprisoned."
She rested her head on Ryan’s shoulder.
"I was very surprised to learn that you were coming and sohow, I didn’t dare—I an... I didn’t want to fight against you."
"I wouldn’t have liked having to face you inside that dungeon either," he said, wrapping his arm around Beatrice’s body.
She clung to him a little tighter.
"But it seems Lord Solaris’s plans went wrong, didn’t they?"
"Don’t call him ’Lord’ anymore, it’s annoying, especially after what he did to you. And yes, although Helen fought against him, in the end, he left the dungeon."
Now things were clearer for Ryan: the fact that Beatrice had been captured and why she was there.
But after that conversation, they continued talking about what happened in the dungeon.
And so other trivial things before falling asleep.

Later, upon waking up, they headed to Ehres Valley.
Ryan thought that by this ti, surely the entire Kingdom of Varvylon would know about him.
But no matter how fast news could travel.
It might take days to reach Ehres Valley.
And they were able to get there very quickly with the help of the wyvern.
Although they hid that wyvern in a place far from the village.
Ryan bought so hooded clothes to cover their heads and Beatrice’s horns.
And they headed to Ryan’s property.
Upon entering, Ryan walked into the living room.
"I think it will be good to take a bath, then we’ll think about where to go."
He looked at Beatrice.
"Do you want to bathe first?"
"No, you go ahead. I’ll go after," she replied and sat in one of the chairs in front of the table.
Ryan nodded and headed to the bathroom.
After taking off his clothes, he got into the bathtub.
Finally relaxing a little.
He closed his eyes for a mont, but the sound of the bathroom door echoed as it opened.
"On second thought, it’ll be better if I co in too. I don’t want to be all alone out there in that room," Beatrice said, walking completely naked toward the bathtub.
