Now that Ryan was apparently out of danger and held the holy knights as prisoners, he had so questions to ask them before making any final decisions regarding their fate.
It was an unavoidable fact that this intervention had spoiled the plans of both Demon King Rigal and the people of the Church.
The delay in the completion of the mission for those two groups would eventually be noticed, and it was most likely that they would then send more people to investigate, prepared for a fight.
Ryan, imagining that this could happen soon.
Had the goal of at least finding out how quickly those reinforcents might arrive based on the answers from these knights.
However, now with one of them healed.
The knight stood up and began to analyze his body.
He moved his arms from side to side, as if checking to see if he really had healed completely.
He looked at the female knight and smiled at her; she nodded back.
"You really are quite a fool, having that powerful attitude and believing yourself superior to us. But you’re just a simple support, ha." As soon as the knight finished his words, he went straight for Ryan and attacked with a powerful blow.
Or at least that was what the holy knight attempted; Ryan, without moving from the chair, grabbed him by the wrist with his left hand and threw him. Now he was upside down, flying through the air right behind Ryan.
The montum he carried made him slam into the wall. And he fell headfirst.
"Even though I warned you." Ryan said with a tone of annoyance that only provoked the knight’s anger.
Ryan turned the chair toward him and remained seated.
"What the hell did he..." He murmured. But once again he lunged into the attack, another fist aid directly at Ryan’s forehead.
But he, without moving from the chair.
Stopped it with a single finger.
The expression on the knights’ faces changed instantly.
It looked as if they had seen a ghost.
"And to think I was so kind to you. And you decide to attack , even though I healed your wounds."
’Actually, this was sothing I already expected. The mont I said I was a support, his gaze already told everything he intended. But... while it is true that I can interrogate them with ease, what I wanted was for them to lose all hope of escape from the very start.’
"Damn you, you’re no support! What trick did you use to heal us?"
"There must be soone else hiding." the girl added.
Then the knight tried to pull away, but Ryan, before he could fully retreat, caught his fist and gripped it tightly.
Then he stood up from the chair and slamd the knight against the floor.
He placed his foot down, pressing hard on his fist.
"Will you talk now?" He said, looking down at him. The girl in chains did not take her eyes off him; her face almost seed to turn blue for a mont.
She tried to speak while the man under Ryan’s foot groaned in pain, but the words got stuck in her throat, then she swallowed hard.
Finally, she spoke.
"Please... don’t kill him."
"You say that, but a second ago you both had every intention of killing , didn’t you?"
Ryan pressed his foot down with even more force.
"Ahg!"
"Inspection."
"Who are you... you really aren’t a support, are you? But what is an adventurer of your level doing here?"
Ryan did not answer; he only looked at the class and titles in the statistics of both.
"So, we have an archer and a lancer? And where are your weapons?"
"How do you know that?"
"I told you before, I’m a support. I can use Inspection."
"No... that’s not possible..."
Without moving, and still pressing on the man’s chest, Ryan ignored his comnt. Instead, he directed his voice toward Beatrice.
"Chain this guy up again."
The female knight looked at Ryan with uncertainty for a mont, as if thinking he was talking to himself or doubting if it was her he was speaking to.
Then, with uncertainty, she responded.
"How do you want to do that if I’m chaine—"
Before she could finish speaking, Beatrice appeared before them.
"Eh? Eh... a demon? Why? Did they manage to subjugate the elves? What happened?"
"Think it through for yourself." Ryan responded curtly.
Beatrice chained the knight.
And she drove the axe into his leg.
"That is for trying to attack Ryan... I must admit I held myself back from killing you right then."
Ryan looked at Beatrice for a mont. Then, she pressed the axe against the knight’s leg, making him groan in pain.
"Agh... you bastards... a demon collaborating with a human? How low have you fallen... you’re a goddamn traitor, or maybe just a puppet... do you think this will go unpunished?"
"Shut up! I’ll be the one asking the questions here."
"You can ask all you want... we won’t say anything... agh!" He groaned again as Beatrice made the cut deeper in his thigh.
"You think so? Beatrice, release her from the chains." Ryan said, referring to the girl knight. She obeyed and freed her.
Though due to her wounds, she could not move.
"Recovery."
The girl began to heal; she didn’t understand why and looked at him strangely.
"What is happening? Why are you healing ? What are you after?"
"I said it before: I want answers. So you, archer girl... co to on your knees. Right now, serve as your master and answer every thing I ask..."
"What are you saying, you piece of—" Then the girl’s body seed to falter and she fell to the floor on her knees.
"What... what is happening to !" she shouted; she seed to feel very uncomfortable.
The knight to her right began to complain and accuse Ryan of heresy.
But his comnts were silenced; Beatrice drove her axe into the knight’s other thigh.
Now the girl was already on her knees in front of Ryan. Nuzzling her head against Ryan’s thighs just like a puppy caressing its master.
Ryan took her by the cheeks and lifted her gaze; their eyes t, and tears were sliding from her eyes.
"So, tell ... how many more people know that you are here? And who gave the order?"
