Astaroth the Destroyer
Inside the Rainflower Tower, Arthur sat quietly, with Little Moon seated beside him, observing the surroundings with curious eyes.
The won of the tower looked at him with mixed expressions, a blend of surprise and caution. His identity was unclear to them, as was the reason for his arrival, or why the Tower Mistress had permitted him to enter with his younger brother and sister.
One of the girls stepped forward politely and offered Arthur a cup of tea.
He smiled at her with noble grace, accepted the cup respectfully, and began drinking calmly, showing not the slightest sign of tension.
anwhile, Zhao Fan was being subjected to a barrage of scolding from Chu Xing Qing and the other won of the tower.
The voices grew slightly louder as Zhao Fan stood in place, enduring the criticism with feigned patience.
"I hope Sir Astaroth will allow this."
Chu Xing Qing had asked Arthur for permission to reprimand Zhao Fan however she wished.
Arthur smiled calmly and nodded his approval without hesitation.
He and Little Moon sat watching the scene, and as ti passed, neither of them could suppress their laughter while watching Zhao Fan being rcilessly scolded.
---
After an entire day had passed...
Arthur woke up in the morning and left the Rainflower Tower in search of Zhao Fan, but he could not find him anywhere.
"Brother Astaroth, where are you going?"
"I'm looking for your damned brother."
"Oh... I saw him go over there with his lover."
Arthur paused for a mont.
"His lover?"
Little Moon smiled sweetly, though there was a trace of teasing in her expression.
"Big Brother, you really don't know anything."
It was as if she were telling him without words how foolish he was for not noticing.
Arthur smiled calmly and lightly tapped her head.
"Let's go."
---
The two walked until they arrived at a vast and magnificent location, where the elders of the Seven Royal Families had gathered alongside the Imperial Gate for the Grain Festival.
Arthur noticed Zhao Fan attempting to enter and heard a voice from inside inviting him to co forward.
"What are you doing, you foolish little brother? Co on, let's go in."
Arthur smiled calmly and entered ahead of Zhao Fan, carrying both a powerful and composed presence.
The elders all turned their attention toward him as they noticed his carefree entrance.
His gaze swept across the hall until he spotted an empty seat.
Smiling, he walked over and sat down without hesitation, while Zhao Fan took the seat beside him.
Arthur sent Little Moon toward Chu Xing Qing and the other won, while he and Zhao Fan remained seated calmly.
"Boy, that is the seat of the Second Master of the Jian Hu Family! Who are you to sit there?"
One of the elders of the Seven Families spoke with an arrogant tone.
Arthur lifted his eyes coldly.
"Didn't the Second Prince just invite my little brother inside?
And who are you to try to stop from sitting here?"
Zhao Fan spoke calmly.
"From Night Rain City, the young master of a third-rate family... Song Yu."
Then he added with a faint smile,
"The Wanderer, Elder Brother Song Yu...
Astaroth."
The Second Prince smiled as he looked at Arthur.
"What a pleasant na... Astaroth, and quite a fine title as well."
"Oh, thank you, Second Prince, for your kind words."
But suddenly, a voice full of mockery rose from the crowd.
"Astaroth? What a stupid and strange na."
It was Yan Song, looking at Arthur with obvious disdain.
Arthur's expression did not change. Instead, he spoke with calm deadliness.
"Astaroth is the na my father gave .
It originates from the ancestor of the Great Dragon, Astaroth the Destroyer..."
Silence filled the hall as Arthur continued in a steady voice.
"The dragon who destroyed the Dragon Race and erased them from their roots,
and in a single fit of rage wiped humanity from the face of creation,
before ascending to beco the greatest dragon ever known by heaven and earth."
Then he looked directly at Yan Song.
"If the Poison Pill King does not know Astaroth, then forgive ...
but you may continue mocking the Great Dragon.
It seems you truly hate dragons, Poison Pill King."
Yan Song's face flushed with rage and humiliation.
The dragon was the symbol of the Imperial Gate.
If he continued mocking it, it would seem as though he were insulting the Imperial Gate itself.
And if he remained silent, it would appear as though he had accepted an insult from a child.
The Second Prince smiled once again.
"Astaroth the Destroyer... a na worthy of such a great dragon."
Old Man Jiu interjected with a steady gaze.
"Boy, be careful with your sharp tongue. It may bring many troubles upon your hea—"
But Zhao Fan interrupted him with a calm smile while sipping his tea.
"Old Man Jiu, be careful with the words that leave your mouth,
or they may lead to the destruction of your family."
The entire hall shook from such blatant disrespect.
Everyone expected Old Man Jiu to explode with anger...
but what happened was shocking.
He clasped his hands together and bowed respectfully toward Zhao Fan.
"Thank you, Young Master, for reminding ."
Everyone was stunned.
How could a youth from a third-rate family insult an elder of the Royal Families...
without receiving any retaliation?
No one knew that Old Man Jiu had already recognized them earlier.
Brother Arthur... Brother Zhao Fan.
They were the only two people who addressed him as "Old Man Jiu" in that manner.
As the two continued drinking their tea, everyone noticed Xiu Tian Yang arriving and seeing his seat occupied.
"It seems there is no place for my family here...
I shall withdraw."
He spoke calmly, bowed toward the Second Prince, and prepared to leave.
But Arthur called out to him gently.
"Brother, why don't you co and drink with us here...
with and my little brother?"
Xiu Tian Yang turned around angrily.
"A brat like you dares to—"
Bang!
Zhao Fan slamd his cup onto the table.
"You stupid bastard, are you afraid or sothing?
My brother said: co and drink with us. If you have even a shred of courage, then do it... and shut up!"
Zhao Fan's voice exploded throughout the hall, carrying open anger and unmistakable contempt as he directed his words straight at Xiu Tian Yang.
At that mont, the Eighth Elder who accompanied Xiu Tian Yang beca enraged.
His aura burst forth violently, and he stepped forward, clearly intending to attack Arthur and Zhao Fan without hesitation.
But suddenly, a hand reached out and stopped him.
It was Xiu Tian Yang's hand.
The hall froze in deadly silence.
No one breathed deeply.
No one dared to speak.
These two...
Not only did they insult Old Man Jiu,
but now they dared to insult Xiu Tian Yang himself, along with his entire family.
Who in the hell are they?
The Second Prince's gaze toward Arthur and Zhao Fan changed.
It was no longer one of amusent or curiosity.
It beca cautious, deep, as though he were reevaluating everything before him.
Xiu Tian Yang calmly pulled the Eighth Elder back and then walked toward Arthur and Zhao Fan's table.
His steps were neither fast nor hesitant.
They were steady, as though the decision had already been made.
He sighed quietly and sat beside them without another word.
Picking up a cup, he began drinking.
"You weren't lying, Brother...
The drink really is quite good."
He spoke with a faint smile as he looked at Zhao Fan and then Arthur, as though the storm that had nearly destroyed the hall monts earlier had never happened.
As for everyone else...
they remained stunned.
No one understood how things had ended this way.
No battle.
No explosion of anger.
No bloodshed.
Only calm conversation and friendly words.
No one noticed one small detail...
but the truth was there.
The rings of the three of them—Arthur, Zhao Fan, and Xiu Tian Yang—
were glowing with a faint and beautiful light...
as though confirming that what had happened was not a coincidence,
but the beginning of sothing far greater.
