The Eye of the Death Sovereign

Arthur rushed forward at full speed, cutting through everything in his path without hesitation, searching for an isolated and quiet place where he could enter his closed-door cultivation without being disturbed by anyone.

He searched for a long ti...

Until he finally found a small cave hidden among rocks and trees.

|You have three minutes until the mission begins.|

'Damn it...'

Arthur raised his head and looked at the flashing tir before his eyes.

Only three minutes remained.

If those minutes passed without him beginning his closed-door cultivation, the mission would fail...

And failure ant only one thing: death.

The idea of returning to the Luo Family residence and beginning his cultivation there crossed his mind, but he quickly discarded it.

Even with his incredible speed, he would need a full hour to arrive,

and he only had a few minutes left.

He clenched his teeth and completely abandoned the thought.

He quickly entered the cave, rolled a massive boulder into place to seal the entrance tightly, then sat cross-legged in the heart of the darkness.

Taking out a preservation bottle, he looked at the small serpent coiled around his neck.

"Astaroth...

This bottle contains a massive amount of magical energy and the energy from the corpses I previously drained.

I don't know how long I'll remain in cultivation before opening my eyes,

so you need to eat carefully... don't empty the entire bottle from the start. Do you understand?"

Astaroth slowly nodded, as if answering with confidence.

After his latest evolution, his understanding of Arthur's words had beco much clearer.

And with the strong bond between master and spiritual beast,

their relationship had beco deeper than re commands.

Although the mission stated that the cultivation would last for one year,

he was not entirely certain about it.

Perhaps it would take him longer than a year.

Therefore, he prepared both himself and Astaroth for the matter.

Arthur smiled faintly, placed his hands before his abdon,

closed his eyes calmly...

And began his closed-door cultivation.

---

One Month Later

Arthur slowly opened his eyes, having completed the first phase of his training.

He looked at Astaroth and noticed that a quarter of the preservation bottle had been emptied.

He smiled calmly and picked up his sword.

---

Two Months Later

Sweat poured from his body like rain.

His clothes were torn, and his hair had grown longer than before.

His sword movents had beco faster...

Harsher...

And more precise than ever before.

---

Six Months Later

Arthur completed his physical training.

The Jin Zhang Body had undergone remarkable developnt;

his skin had beco tougher and thicker, like polished dark armor.

---

Three More Months Later

Deep within a quiet forest filled with life...

A small snake moved through the grass, tracking an innocent rabbit.

It suddenly lunged, bit it, and killed it with a single strike.

The next mont, a wolf that had been stalking the rabbit from afar attacked,

pouncing on the snake, tearing off its head, and swallowing it.

But before the wolf could enjoy its prey—

A massive spiritual bear appeared.

With a single blow...

It tore off the wolf's head and dropped it lifeless to the ground.

The bear thought the feast had beco his.

But suddenly, his instincts scread.

There was a predator...

Sothing even more terrifying...

Standing behind him.

Before he could even turn around—

He dropped dead.

A small serpent erged from behind his body, slipped into his eye, and began devouring him from the inside.

It was enjoying its feast...

Until—

The nearby mountain exploded.

The cave hidden within it collapsed, and dust and rocks flew in every direction.

The serpent stopped and rushed madly toward the source of the explosion.

Its eyes burned red with anger,

and killing intent scread from its body,

as though soone had hard its young.

It stopped before the shattered mountain and was about to unleash a furious cry—

But suddenly...

A majestic dark aura flooded the land,

so powerful that the serpent trembled in fear.

"Has... a year truly passed?"

A young man's voice pierced through the dust.

The serpent recognized him instantly.

A small instinctive smile appeared on its features.

From among the rocks and dust erged a handso young man with an unbelievably sturdy body.

His long black hair dragged across the ground behind him.

His clothes were torn and worn, bearing witness to an entire year of suffering.

The serpent shot forward and leaped toward his neck as if it wanted to devour him—

But the young man welcod it with a calm smile.

"Astaroth...

You've truly grown."

Arthur said as he gently patted him while Astaroth wrapped himself around his neck with affection and strength.

Arthur had finally erged from his closed-door cultivation.

A full year of harsh training...

A year that had changed him completely.

"Ah...

I wonder what that bastard did while I was away."

He sighed quietly.

He washed himself in a nearby pool of pure water,

then raised his black sword and swung it,

cutting the hair that had reached his feet and leaving it shorter, just below his shoulders.

He changed into new, elegant clothes,

and left his black hair flowing behind him.

He wrapped Astaroth around his neck and prepared to depart—

But suddenly...

Astaroth froze.

He stared at Arthur's face, shock nearly making his jaw drop,

as he looked at his left eye.

"Oh...

You noticed this, didn't you?"

Arthur pointed at his left eye.

Suddenly,

the entire forest was subrged in a destructive dark aura,

an aura that flowed from his left eye...

A burning red eye.

"It is... a gift from an old friend."

Arthur sighed as he calmly touched his left eye.

---

Several Months Earlier

*'Cain... open the Heavenly Store.

It's ti to reclaim my eye.'*

|Alright.|

Cain opened the Heavenly Store and began searching...

Until his gaze landed upon sothing that made him freeze.
