The finance departnt gang, Diamond had them settled in two offices, two people in an office, and at any ti, they would be moving. The other office was still being occupied by Agatha and Cindy, who hadn't moved to their building yet.
The cafeteria was the easiest one, and they didn't need to be told what to do. All that was left there was to supply the food and give the employees so new rules regarding that cafeteria.
The PR and HR departnts people shared the floor, with each departnt taking one side of the building. Currently, Diamond managed to hire the HR manager for the HR side, and as for the other recruiting jobs, the HR lady will be taking over.
The PR side was doing much better. There were now five people there with Ruby included. The PR manager was a man with ten years of experience under his belt and he had worked for several companies. His reputation was good and wasn't the type that blackened others to whiten the ones he was standing for.
Two more people were also hired, with one being a recent graduate and another having been in the workforce for over a year.
Five individuals and three offices were used, with two offices having two staff and leaving another space for another one.
The move was done in two days and by Wednesday, everyone was in their respective offices doing their jobs diligently.
During that ti, the IT departnt was given a new task, and it was to make identity cards for every staff mber. They haven't made the cards yet, and it was high ti for them to do so.
There was no need for Diamond to have the al cards made as each staff mber had the freedom to go and buy food wherever they found comfortable, but Diamond was planning on making sure that they only eat in the cafeteria from now on.
All she needed to do was provide her employees with healthy food at a lower price. She couldn't provide them with free als, that would be too much, but she could at least make the als affordable.
The cleaning departnt or the ladies didn't require an office at all, but there was still a breakroom on the ground floor where they could still relax.
The cleaning equipnt and tools were all stored on the basent floor.
On Friday of that week, more good news ca and the three-story building was completed, and they were currently installing the display fridges and deep freezers inside.
This ant that by Monday or Wednesday, the staff could move in. The offices still needed to be furnished before moving.
That weekend, Ruby received her acceptance letters. The two universities wanted her, and Ruby was left to make a choice.
The little girl had done her research during the whole ti and even before when she was in Taco. so she knew the school she wanted to go to the most.
Diamond was surprised when she saw how Ruby picked the second best instead of the first.
"I don't want to live a life of competition; I will be pressurized there and I don't want that. Besides, so of my friends are there and I want to attend a school where I won't feel lonely."
Diamond didn't fully understand this logic at all, but since Ruby was an adult and could make her own decisions, she decided to respect her choice.
"As long as you are happy, then it's okay. Just tell what is needed and will help with the procedures. Don't forget to call mom and dad!" Diamond reminded the little girl as she went to her study.
"Sure, I won't," Ruby bead as her sister disappeared from her sight.
'I am probably the luckiest little sister in the whole world. I will not let her down and continue to make her proud.'
Ruby was very considerate; she knew who was the breadwinner in her family. Her parents had returned from vacation a few days ago and they were looking forward to the results.
Diamond was going to be the person paying her tuition, nevertheless, she was hoping to get a scholarship. So she was going to apply for it, maybe during the second sester.
She wanted to surprise her sister, as doing it now would make it look as if maybe Diamond couldn't afford her tuition and she didn't want to make her sister sad.
Another thing was the accommodation. She didn't want to stay on the school campus, and driving from Cherry Court to school would take long. She was thinking of renting a room outside.
It will make her life easier this way.
Diamond, who was busy reading a book in her study, suddenly received a call from Dorcas and she put her book down and picked up the call with a smile.
The two had been talking ever since the banquet and had beco pretty close, so it wasn't shocking to receive her call.
"Hello girl, what's up?"
[I am doing okay on this side and yours?]
"Never been better. Ruby was accepted in both universities," Diamond felt that it was just right for her to brag about this
[Woooooooooooow! Really, that's perfect. She is truly a genius.]
Doorcas's excitent could be heard through the speaker, and Diamond was forced to remove the ear pod for a second before returning it back due to that.
"Thanks for the praise. So why did you make a call? Aren't you busy today?" Diamond asked curiously after completing her task.
Dorcas had told her that she would be on a boot camp that weekend, so having her calling at tis like these was simply suspicious.
[I am still busy, just that Theresa found out about how I t you and she called earlier to ask for your number. So, if she calls, just know that I was the one who gave her your number.]
Dorcas felt a bit embarrassed, really. She gave Diamond's number without permission, but since the other party was her cousin, she couldn't help it.
"Okay, it's not a big deal. I thought it was sothing huge!" Diamond nearly got scared there, knowing this, but still tried her best to maintain her calmness.
[Ha ha ha, it's only this. Anyway, I have to go. I will talk to you later.]
"Okay, later then."
