Trepidation filled her as she watched the person that she loathed the most beco the center of attraction.
’Why is it her? How co she is like this? And why is that person with her?’
She had so many questions that needed answers, but since she wasn’t that close to the other, to receive the answers that she needed.
Not only did that person turn pretty, but she seed to be doing so well. And that pissed her off more.
"Diamond, you have really changed. It seems that life has been treating you well since we last t!" with a fake smile on her face, Queen directed her words at Diamond who was sparkling like her nasake.
Diamond looked at Queen. One of the girls that made her life very unbearable when she was still studying.
The last image of Queen she had was when the other was laughing hysterically at her. After she had been downed with champagne at the very resort they were at right now.
Queen had never liked her before. She was vain and always thought that she was above everyone else.
Although back then, she wasn’t as beautiful as she was right now. She was much prettier when compared to Queen. And the fact that she was dating a second-rich generation guy, Queen always found ways to make her life a living hell.
But she was no longer the Diamond of before. She was different and was here to show everyone who they shouldn’t ss with.
"Indeed, I have changed. It would be a pity if I didn’t. Life is simply too short for us to be stuck in the past," with a smile on her face, Diamond comfortably answered Queen.
"You_" Queen wanted to say sothing, however, the man seated next to her held her hand suddenly and shook his head.
Diamond was watching all that without interference, but waited to see what more they would do and were planning.
Seeing that the atmosphere was tense, another classmate interjected, "Since everyone is here. Let’s order so food and have so fun."
"That’s true, let’s do that."
With that being said, Queen, the host, naturally decided to get her honor back and cald herself down after glaring hatefully at Diamond.
The food was then ordered. And since Diamond wasn’t allergic to any food, she just let the host do whatever she wanted.
While they were waiting for food and having so wine, curious classmates began to bombard Diamond with questions.
"You haven’t introduced this gentleman to us yet. Who is he? Is he your husband, or boyfriend?"
"Heh, boyfriend! Maybe so sugar daddy!" Theresa muttered under her breath as her hands clenched her dress, drowning in jealousy.
Diamond smiled at the female classmate who had asked and answered amiably, "he is a good friend of mine. I haven’t gotten married yet."
Everyone gasped upon hearing that. They weren’t expecting her to give that answer.
Even Kian was shocked, for he thought that she would at least give him the boyfriend’s title. But never had he guessed that Diamond was different and couldn’t be read as easily as others could be.
"Ohh! And here I thought that he was yours? Or are you ashad to tell us what your real relationship with him is?" unable to tolerate more of Diamond, Theresa burst out once again asking rudely.
Diamond’s gaze shifted from the others and fixated itself on Theresa, whose eyes were blazing with an unconcealed hatred that she found very funny.
"And what kind of relationship are you thinking about? I am quite curious!" Diamond didn’t answer her but questioned back as she tilted her head to the left.
Theresa scoffed upon hearing that. And looking at how pretty Diamond was as if she just stepped out of so manga. And then the handso man whose face was a bit familiar to soone if she wasn’t mistaken. She knew that she needed to expose Diamond’s evil deeds and free that man from her evil clutches.
"Heh, Diamond. You have never changed. I thought that after him you will learn a lesson and stop taking crooked roads but I guess a leopard will never lose its spots!" Theresa sarcastically said as she looked disgustingly at Diamond as if she were so pieces of rubbish.
Theresa smirked upon hearing that. ’It’s coming so fast!’
Wanting to see drama and eat so lons, the majority of people present wanted to make a fool out of Diamond, didn’t intervene but pretended as if they weren’t hearing anything.
"Ohh! Is that so? And even if it’s like that, what is in for you to point at like that? It’s not like it’s you who is getting crooked!" Diamond said as she placed her hands on top of her knees.
Looking at those hands that looked much smoother and fairer than before. Theresa just wanted to break them and see if Diamond would continue to show off like that or even go out for that matter.
"Tch! Diamond, does this gentleman knows about your whoring history at school? It’s not a good thing to deceive people to get what you want. You even boldly went to do plastic surgery to snag yourself a rich man. Aren’t you embarrassed by your actions?" Queen sarcastically exposed as she looked smugly at Diamond, who was silent without saying a thing.
Hearing these ladies continuously spouting nonsense, Kian was so angry that he wanted to just stand up and give them a beating. But when Diamond’s leg brushed against his, he couldn’t help but look at her, trying to gauge her reaction.
And when he saw it, he couldn’t help but feel sour.
"Honestly guys, I really don’t understand why you find so much joy in trampling others. I won’t care much about your evil deeds years ago, which is why I attended this reunion. If you think that I will be subjected to your petty sches, then you must be fooling yourselves!" Diamond, who had been silent so monts ago, suddenly started speaking in a chilly tone.
Hearing her changing like that, Queen and Theresa, who were expecting Diamond to not retort, were taken aback by surprise.
