Lindow was silent when he heard Soma's ssage informing him about the rebellion of the [Fenrir: Central] military. He knew it was a matter of ti for sothing like that to happen, but he never thought it would happen so soon.
Soma also told him that the leader of [Fenrir: Central] had ordered all branches of [Fenrir] to give them imdiate support, but none of them had lifted a finger to follow those instructions, after all, it was a battle that would bring hundreds of deaths.
The general had been asking Soma to send support, but noticing that he was the only one trying to help the central base, he decided to keep silent.
Soma made it clear that they would not help [Fenrir: Central] because they could not lose more n, after all, none of them knew when Johannes would return, this earned the almost unanimous support of the high command of [Fenrir: Far East] and honestly it was an opinion that all the other branches held.
Getting back to Lindow, he didn't know how to react in this situation.
Should he be happy because those idiots finally got what they deserved? Should he feel bad for the precarious situation they were living?
Sofia did not know what to say either, after all, [Fenrir: Central] had been her ho for years. For their part, the others only shrugged their shoulders as they decided to stand aside, after all, none of them wished to enter a battle between humans. This was another argunt that the branches of [Fenrir] had used, morality.
"We will not participate in a war between humans, after all, we have been trained to be able to defend humanity, not to eliminate it."
Those were the words that the vast majority of [Branches] leaders had said in order to win over their subordinates and the civilians they protected.
"I think the trigger was the death of the squadron that [Fenrir: Central] sent" - said Sofia while checking the last report she had uploaded to the database - "Although this is strange because it shouldn't have escalated so fast."
"So what if the new leader decided to send in the military?" - Lindow asked seriously as she began to think about the situation - "If you think about it, it's not a bad hypothesis, more so if you think about how annoyed the military was during the [End Hill] operation."
"True" - nodded Sofia as she started to think about the words of her romantic interest, only to notice how with each passing second, closer to reality it beca.
Lindow was about to say sothing else when she felt her communicator start to ring so she picked it up without a second thought and answered the call - "Lindow here."
"Captain Lindow, this is Alisa."
"Good to hear from you, cadet" - Lindow said as he let out a sigh of relief, then narrowed his eyes - "If you contacted , I have to assu sothing serious happened."
"The [Fenrir: Central] squadron was annihilated and devoured, Johannes is unaccounted for and possibly about to complete his tamorphosis."
". . ." - Lindow's expression changed to one as cold as ice when he heard the platinum blonde haired girl's ssage, only to sigh with regret. Things had changed for the worse, all thanks to [Fenrir: Central]'s stupid moves - "I swear to god, if it wasn't because those idiots are going through a military rebellion, I'd go cause trouble for them."
"Huh? Is [Fenrir: Central] in danger, by any chance?"
"That's right" - nodded Lindow earnestly as he explained the situation to her.
"I see, I guess this will interest Cloud."
"He's not with you?" - Lindow asked in surprise upon hearing this.
"He *Bzz* vicinity *Bzz* danger *Bzz*"
"Alisa, can you hear !" - Lindow exclaid as he heard the signal start to get worse.
"Hello? *Bzz* Lindow? *Bzz*"
Lindow was about to say sothing else, but was struck dumb when he noticed how the signal cut out - "What happened, why did the signal cut out just like that?"
"I don't know, but it doesn't seem to be anything good" - Sofia answered seriously as she looked at her romantic interest - "It's even possible that it has sothing to do with Johannes."
Lindow was silent for a few seconds before nodding with a serious expression on his face. It was well known that many [Aragami] possessed an electromagnetic field that prevented communications around their body - "Let's just hope it's not what we think."
Sophia nodded firmly as she prepared to go to the other won, after all, they still felt discomfort in their private parts - "Should we inform them about all this?"
"Possibly, unless you want to suffer the consequences later" - Lindow answered with a huge smile because he knew it was not a good idea to hide the truth from that group of won.
"OK" - nodded Sofia as she shrugged, not noticing how Lenka and Kota had been spying on them.
"This is serious" - muttered Kota as he looked at his friend - "[Fenrir: Central] is being overrun by the chaos of revolution."
"Honestly I'm glad" - snorted Lenka with disdain - "They've always been bastards."
"Why do you say so?" - Kota asked with surprise because he never expected this kind of reaction from his friend.
"Because it was because of them that my village was wiped off the face of the earth" - replied Lenka quietly as he rembered his family and how they scread to give him so ti to escape - "If they had arrived in ti, my family wouldn't have died."
"Dude, that's not [Fenrir's] fault." - Kota said as he shook his head.
"It is if they stayed watching at a safe distance and only went in to fight when the vast majority of the [Aragami] left after having their feast" - Lenka replied as he retreated with a neutral expression on his face.
"Oh" - Kota fell silent for a few seconds before leaving chasing after his friend to apologize, after all, he knew he had spoken out of turn and without knowing the general context of Lenka's situation.
* * * * *
"What the fuck was that all about?" - Alisa muttered as she frowned as she noticed the interference in her communicator signal, only to walk in the direction where Cloud was standing with a serious expression on his face.
"Did sothing happen?" - Cloud asked as he noticed the expression on the young woman.
[Maybe she's in heat?] asked Shio as she cocked her head to one side.
"I don't know what she said, but I feel like I want to suffocate her" - Alisa snorted as she looked at the little creature - "Anyway, I just wanted to inform you about the situation of [Fenrir: Central]."
"Did sothing happen with those jerks?" - Cloud asked curiously.
"Rebellion" - Alisa answered seriously as she explained the situation to him.
"I see, it's an interesting destination" - said Cloud as he let out a laugh. He didn't even care about the lives of those involved and was enjoying the situation than those idiots from [Fenrir: Central] - "Anyway, we'd better get on with our quest."
"I thought you'd wait for her to get back to normal" - Alisa replied while pointing at Shio.
[I just need so ti now that I ate enough] - Shio replied while tilting her head.
"She said that all that was left was to wait to get back to normal" - Cloud replied as he translated his little companion's words.
Alisa gave him a confused look, but noticed with surprise how Shio's body seed to be taking a much more humanoid form, even her scales were starting to fall off - "Impressive."
[?] - Shio looked at the human curiously as she cocked her head to the side - [Is sothing the matter?]
"No, it's nothing" - Alisa replied, only to widen her eyes in surprise - "Did I understand you?"
[That ant that my vocal cords are starting to recreate themselves] - Shio replied excitedly as she started to vocalize - [Do you understand ?]
"She asked you if you could understand her" - Cloud said while translating his little friend's words.
"No, I didn't manage to understand what you said" - Alisa replied as she shook her head, although she was strange that this happened, after all, she had understood her before.
[Ugh, and I thought I had recovered] - muttered Shio while her eyes blurred with tears. She really wanted to return to her old appearance because she missed interacting with other people.
"Don't worry, you'll be back to normal in no ti" - Cloud replied while stroking Shio's little head.
[OK!] - exclaid Shio with a huge smile.
Alisa was a bit puzzled with the relationship between Cloud and the little creature - "They really look like siblings, at least their interactions."
Cloud shrugged his shoulders while Shio just gave her a smile, although she was happy because after being alone for so long, it was the first ti she felt such a great connection with soone.
[Sorry for the delay, my lord, big sister] - [Sapphire] said as she appeared in front of the group with a new prey.
"I don't think we need more food" - said Cloud as he shook his head, only to notice how [Sapphire] froze.
