Another week had passed, and the [Kuruta Island] expedition was reaching the halfway point of progress.
Cloud and the others had already had their first encounters with the tribal beasts, being easily annihilated.
The group's training was progressing satisfactorily, especially that of Kyoko, who could now summon her second weapon, a bow that used her aura as arrows. Their offensive power was not as high, but they had the peculiarity that they could cause a random altered state such as blindness, confusion, or paralysis.
nchi had managed to get valuable information during this trip, such as the different ingredients that were on this island, which were not only exotic, but also delicious.
Little Jackalope was getting more and more comfortable with her new special place, Cloud's head, which made Kyoko jealous because she wished the little rabbit would be friendlier to her.

"I expected sothing more from those things" - Kyōka said as she frowned seeing how they had annihilated a new village of those strange tribal creatures.
"They're just simple beasts" - replied nchi as she shook her head - "Honestly I feel a little bad about those things, but after rembering how they raped so of my teammates to death, I get over it."
Kyoko looked at these abominations with disgust, not caring that there were also young creatures in the place.
"Anyway, we've gone halfway through the jungle and haven't found interesting" - Cloud said while the little Jackalope let out a cute yawn - "We haven't found the second strange creature either."
The Jackalope raised her head curiously when she heard this as she wiggled her nose.
"Is sothing wrong, little one?" - Cloud asked as he noticed this change, only to notice how the Jackalope shook her head - "If you feel anything, you can tell ."
The little creature nodded weakly.
THE group continued to advance as they destroyed all the hostile beasts in the place, only to arrive at what seed to be the ruins of an ancient civilization.
"This is the place?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow, and closed his eyes to see if there were any creatures hiding.
"Exactly" - nodded nchi as she started to think - "This construction was spotted from the sky, so we're not sure what kind of danger there will be inside, so we'd better move carefully."
"Running straight inside and not thinking about the consequences" - Kyōka said as she folded her arms - "Got it."
"Relax, she's not really aning it" - Kyoko said as she gave her friend a blank look - "Most of the silly things she says, are to hide her true ways."
"Let's leave that for another ti, now let's concentrate on the mission so we can get out of this place because I'm bored" - said Cloud as the others nodded.
The island wasn't a bad place to vacation, but outside of the natural beauty, there was nothing else.
"He's right, for now let's concentrate on the mission" - said Kyoko as she shook her head - "After that we'll see what to do."

Fifteen minutes later, the group was inside the ruins.
Cloud and the others were looking around seriously.
The dangers inside the ruins were not many, but they were lethal.
Poisonous snakes were the least of the problems, not with the strange creatures that ca out from ti to ti.
"I think it's this way, for so strange reason, I can sense a signature of magic" - Cloud said seriously.
"Magic, you an the kind from the shows?" - nchi asked with a frown because it was obvious that those tricks were just for parties, after all, the only recorded energy in the world was the Nen.
Cloud gave the blue-haired woman a blank look before nodding. It was best that he didn't explain things too much because it would only cause trouble - "Exactly, although the thing about feeling a strange aura in this place was true."
"Maybe the inhabitants of this civilization managed to create weaponry that kept the aura on them permanently?" - nchi asked as she started to think - "It's a possibility."
Kyōka and Kyoko just kept silent, after all, they knew how real the energy known as mana was.
The group continued to move forward, arriving at what appeared to be the ruins of a shrine designed to praise a certain reptilian-shaped deity, or at least that's what the murals around the area showed.
"The blood marks were impregnated on the walls and on the altar" - muttered nchi while frowning - "Even the scent remains, how is that possible?"
"Maybe with countless sacrifices" - answered Kyōka while frowning - "And if so, then the question would be, how many people or creatures did they have to sacrifice for the sll to remain for so many years?"
"I don't know, I don't care either, but what I can assure you, is that there is sothing in this place, sothing danger" - Cloud said with a frown, more when he noticed how the little Jackalope was shaking on her head.
"Is there sothing here?" - Kyōka asked in surprise because she hadn't managed to perceive any kind of living thing, not even with her senses enhanced by her sealed [Bloodline].
Kyoko slowly looked at the surroundings, only to unconsciously look up at the semi-destroyed ceiling of the place, but after doing so, she froze, after all, she saw how two huge red eyes were looking at the group - "Guys!"
Cloud slowly looked up and watched in surprise as the creature watched them silently with a hungry gaze.
"Those kind of eyes are from reptilian creatures, possibly a snake" - nchi said as she started sweating because the power of that creature was enormous - "And from the amount of years it has lived, I can deduce that its power is impressive".
The huge creature quickly fell to the ground, showing its form to the group.
"It's not a snake - it's a [Rocky Dragon]!" - nchi exclaid in terror - "Those things should be extinct!"
"A [Rocky Dragon]?" - Cloud asked in surprise as saliva began to build up in his mouth, after all, if the na of that thing was 100% accurate, then he would have no problem taking out that beast.
"The [Rocky Dragons], are beasts capable of consuming mountains if left alone, according to ancient books, these beasts were considered as deities in the past thanks to their enormous destructive power and voracity, that's why tribes sacrificed their mbers as well as their enemies to these beasts to keep them quiet" - nchi said while wiping the sweat from her forehead - "We better escape as fast as we can, that thing is dangerous, very dangerous."
"In fact, you should worry more about that beast, than about us" - said Kyōka while shaking her head - "Cloud will take care of this."
"Cloud?" - nchi asked in surprise, only to frown as she watched the blond walk over to the beast with a huge smile on his face - "Sothing I needed to know?"
"Just watch, this will be over quickly" - Kyōka said as Kyoko took the little Jackalope that had jumped off Cloud's head after he directed her to go to the others.
nchi looked skeptically at this as she prepared to give support when needed, but her expression changed when she saw how Cloud was not only ignoring the beast's elental attacks, but its offensive power was not far behind.
"Impossible" - muttered nchi as her eyes widened in surprise, but her expression quickly changed to one of terror when she saw how Cloud opened his mouth and devoured a piece of flesh that he tore off with his teeth - "I think I'm dreaming".
"Cloud is not a normal human, in fact, he is not human" - said Kyōka while shaking her head.
"Are you saying that he's a [Magical Beast]?" - nchi asked in surprise as this changed things a lot.
"Not exactly, but at the sa ti it's an accurate definition" - Kyoko replied as she shot an annoyed look at her blue-haired companion, after all, this should be a secret of the trio.
"We gain nothing by hiding it, in fact, this can help us because now we'll be able to move freely and without fear of soone discovering sothing strange about us" - replied Kyōka as she noticed the annoyed look of her traveling companion - "As for what kind of beast Cloud is, well, that's for you to find out, although I can assure you that you'll be surprised when you discover the truth"
"Surprised?" - nchi repeated as she looked at the blond, then at the two won - "Why or just reveal everything?"
"And where's the fun in that?" - Kyōka asked with an amused smile on her face while Kyoko could only shake her head, after all, Cloud wouldn't leave them alone after revealing their secret.
nchi was about to say sothing else, but fell silent when she heard [Rocky Dragon]'s scream of pain, only to see how Cloud had a grim smile on his blood-covered face.
